It provides high-quality downloads. And, best of all, it comes standard on Mac laptops and computers, so there's no ongoing subscription, etc.
It's kind of crazy to think that I have this software on my Mac and I can use it and edit my videos with it completely for free. When it comes to features I like about iMovie, there are several.
It also does not have as many functions as paid versions of video editors.

Pros
Like I've said I have fun using this and now I'm teaching my wife how to use this and it makes my films look like a professional is doing the editing.
I think that iMovie is a good starting point for people interested in video editing. I love that the editing process is simple and comes with tutorials for those that need help with their edits.
My experience has been great I really like the new autosave feature it has been so helpful as I often forget to save my work as I go along. File management is also quite simple.
Cons
It’s severely lacking in functionality because it is so simple. From editing tools to even lack of exporting options, its simplicity takes a toll on what is possible.
Of course, this software isn't for professionals and editing features are really limited. Also you don't have a lot of export formats, that's sometimes a headache.
This can be annoying and a bit of a hassle to removed the effect from each still image.
