2018-03-22

Great Social Network

2019-02-20

Pros

In a world dominated by Facebook, it is nice to have something like Twitter that limits people to so many characters and allows individuals and businesses connect on a meaningful basis.

Cons

Having just started using Twitter (because many I know love and use it) I have found that there has been a slight learning curve.

2018-12-24

Great social media platform for your thoughts

2018-06-05

Pros

It's a quick thought that makes rants, such as those on facebook, not exist.

Cons

Twitter should have longer charter limits. It is great for quick thoughts but it's hard to be funny in that amount of characters.

Twitter Is The Best

2017-04-22

I love Twitter. Out of all the social media sites, it is my favorite. It's easy, fun and my go-to place for news and info on everything. I like it because it is short and sweet.

Pros

Much easier and more fun than Facebook.

Cons

None that I can think of.

Recommendations to others considering Twitter

Try it. Don't be put off by @ and # in tweets. Briefly, use @ and person's twitter name to send a tweet to them. Tweet will drop in their notifications. # is called hashtag. You can go to Twitter search and use # along with a word to search for all the Tweets with that #. Like #Recipes will show all the tweets with #recipes. Viola!

Mini-network

2018-11-07

Pros

Twitter is the quicker and simpler version of Facebook. I like it's brevity, quick twit options and a possibility to deeply customize your updates feed.

Cons

Twitter is very crowded and loud. You'll need to spend some time customizing your feed and setting up filters to make it truly useful.

Short & Tweet

2017-11-16

Pros

Twitter is a very good (and almost essential) marketing tool, that gets your message out quickly and efficiently.

Cons

My company generally found Twitter to be less effective, and less enjoyable to use, than Facebook, Instagram and Linkedin, but that was at least partly due to the character limit and the type of content we were posting.

Only a Tweet or Two

2019-01-14

Pros

Twitter is a good way to connect with other people and business in your geographical area. It is a good way to stay up to date on what people are doing if they are frequent users

Cons

It does not have the same integration of events, videos, pictures and information as Facebook and therefore was not as helpful in reaching my clientele

The app with the potential to become new Facebook

2018-08-11

Pros

*Reliable, Fun and Easy to use *Twitter is one of few platform that due to it's struggles as a startup remained in the position to turn itself into something usable and enjoyable, *Facebook, Linkedin even instagram now - they all went after advertisements and ways to monetize and at some point I believe they began to lose their main purpose - human interaction and contact focusing on the random things and integrations.

Cons

Please, make a light version like facebook did. It would be so so great!

A different, but smarter, social media network

2019-02-20

Pros

The whole debating culture and communicating with others on Twitter is well organized and truly makes it a "smarter" social network compared to the immature troll-packed Facebook and Youtube comments.

Cons

While it is a superb platform to share ideas and communicate with others on certain topics/hashtags, there is sadly pretty restricted freedom of speech on Twitter. Many accounts have been banned for very debatable word use or topics discussed. So, be careful with the discussions and topics you get into, the Twitter police is not always fair and open with everyone or every topic discussed.

Great Social Media outlet

2018-07-23

Pros

Its current, stays true to its medium. You have to write and send tweets out right away so things stay current and find out what's happening "in the moment" I think its geared towards thoughts and writers/media.

Cons

You can't schedule things out like how you would on facebook. I want to be "lazy" or ahead of the game and schedule my posts to be on auto-schedule to go out when I want them to, but with Twitter, you can't do that, you have to post things in the moment and that's not really a con, because its staying true to what twitter is about, but for me, it still stinks when I want to be proactive and schedule posts lol!

Twitter - The pros and cons of the better social network

2018-10-15

Pros

In a world dominated by Facebook owned properties, it is great to have a platform like Twitter.

Cons

There are only a few cons to Twitter at the moment 1) Editing Posts/Tweets the inability to edit tweets or posts after you have posted them is a huge con especially if you are a business or use it for PR. 2) Mobile support - Twitter's own apps do not have great mobile versions. Aside from Tweetdeck, there are very few alternatives to the main Twitter app that are worth using. With the limitation of the API, you are left with very few choices for mobile apps.

No limits to being heard

2018-02-06

Pros

Allows for quick thoughts to be posted, you can follow whomever you want without a freind request being granted. It allows for you to read as much as your attention span allows before you get lose focus on the topic and get distracted. You can shout out anyone to be heard or seen in a sea full of fish. You have no limit to how much you post. Twitter is a great social media app for #powerful messages to spread a cause quickly.

Cons

Don't like how when you intergrate with Facebook how the post appears on twitter if its linked to a photo, espicially if you post many photos your twitter feed will look like jibberish.

Great social media tool for your business

2019-01-29

Pros

Facebook is great for getting connected with others online. It has a wide array of options to post updates for followers and for followers to share information with friends. You're allowed to create and customize an easy to manage profile. The amount of users on Facebook will help your business grow in the long run.

Cons

You may want to try LinkedIn and Twitter to add more variety to your social media outreach.

Facebook Evolving Over Time

2018-12-19

Pros

I like the use of Facebook for Business and it has helped my company grow is a good tool for engaging our clients and prospects.

Cons

The personal use of Facebook has declined for me in the last few years with other new social tools like Instagram and Twitter. Data and security issues have been the forefront and does not look good to the end user.

Facebook for Businesses has always been great, but it's declining for personal use.

2018-08-03

Pros

Since there's no character limit like there is on twitter, Facebook is my go-to when we have a little more information to share than usual.

Cons

Most of the cons of Facebook show themselves when you log in for personal use. The app has gradually become very "junky" with cheap/scam-looking advertisements and the new interface has way too much going on along the sides of your timeline so, it's hard to focus. The latest Facebook update that bothered me was the change in notifications. Instead of only receiving notifications when someone tags me in something or mentions me directly in a comment (you know, things relevant to me), I get endless notifications that say things like, "Did you see Jessica Jones' comment on Luke Cage's post?". There may be a way to customize my notifications and stop Facebook from doing that, but it still bothers me that they automatically changed my notifications without asking and I feel uncomfortable knowing that other people have the option to be notified when I comment on someone else's status. It's way too intrusive.

Used to be fun but not that much anymore

2018-06-18

Pros

With other apps like Instagram (Facebook owned) or Twitter, I rather spend more time over there than here.

Cons

Well I don´t appreciate the scandals surrounding Facebook this days. I do know for a fact that they shared personal information and that they use private information without it´s users knowing or consent. Something to think about.

The Face of the Social Internet with all your friends in 1 book.

2018-03-29

Pros

You can intergrate your instagram or twitter feed to your Facebook.

Cons

You have to download messenger seperately from Facebook to message others. You can never truly delete your account to start from scratch. If you lose email access to your account anyone can eventually reactivate your account. It takes a few complaints for Facebook to perm. delete an account that someone makes that is fake. You can only use your real name and not alias, which is understandable but too many name changes is not allowed. They want you to have only one FB account but if you can't delete your old account to start new it can be fustrating. Facebook is the main site harrassment and bullying occurs and some posts should not take so long to be removed as embarrassing and humiliating things can be posted about someone. It seems like they have so many features I forgot how to get to some of them as far as what screen i need to be on to access that feature. It can be confusing because a social media platform is virtually attempting to be a walmart online for social networks which is too much for one platform to have information about you when you can not perm. delete your account. Who wants a social network to keep that much information on them forever? That is quesitonable to even having a facebook account and knowing that.
