Pros
From the moment I found Delve I have been nothing but impressed. The software was really easy to use and the developers were very responsive when I had questions.
I was so thrilled that Delve showed up when I searched for "coding for researching" on YouTube. Delve is really a well thought out software, and I am extremely happy with all the features I used.
It feels intuitive - a welcome, clean, well organized workspace which is so important to me when I wade through all the chaotic information to get to the important insights.
Cons
There really wasn’t anything that I would consider bad about the program. Especially once I got used to using it.
As I do not have much knowledge about coding there was nothing that i thought was missing.
I am solving problems for the business community with regards to having entrepreneurs consider weaknesses inherent within social media marketing before implementing social media in their businesses.

Great, Easy to use and made my research report 100 times quicker to undertake

Reviewed 2 years ago

I only needed to use Delve for one project but being so busy finishing it, I did not cancel properly before the free trial ended, and being a poor student was worried that like other companies they would say, well tough you forgot to cancel the trial so you are stuck paying. This did not happen at all, and I was refunded, and offered student discount for when I do my dissertation, when I look forward...

Pros

It is easy to use, doesn't take a long time to pick up on how to use it, there are handy videos also to help you and it is a well thought out and efficient piece of software well worth using as a student or researcher

Cons

The price is a little high. But they do offers for students which is great, especially if you are only wanting to use it for a one off

Complete End-to-End Experience Designed by Experts in the Field

Reviewed 9 months ago

I used the free trial for about 10 days to complete my small project. During this time, I learned how to conduct qualitative analysis as a research method and applied what I learned from their comprehensive free resources (the course, YouTube videos as well as their blog entry) on the software to finish my project. In that sense it was an end-to-end experience for me in all respects.

Pros

I've been fortunate to find an excellent tool, DelveTool, designed by experts in the field. This service stands out in the market because it's user-friendly, quick, all-encompassing (understanding qualitative analysis methods + how to conduct coding + starting to code + finishing up the analysis) ; hence suitable for both beginners and experts. It offers free courses on qualitative analysis with valuable...

Cons

This tool is incredible. There is no cons to it on my side.

A Streamlined, Easy to Use, Qualitative Data Analysis Tool

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

Delve is a super streamlined QDA. It's simple to code a couple of levels of transcript data and get it to a place where you can analyze and create meaning. Unlike other similar tools, Delve isn't super feature-rich, but this is a strength! Delve provides plug-and-play transcript coding. Couldn't be simpler. I'm also excited to see where the tool goes in the future. It's a newcomer to the QDA world and the team is very responsive to user needs and feedback.

Cons

No much. As with all new tools, it could use some usability improvements. It's improving all the time though, so I'm confident that the small quirks will get ironed out! It's still leagues easier than the other tools out there.

Qualitative analysis with undergrads

Reviewed 3 months ago

Delve is great! Its easy to use, and very affordable. I will certainly use it again next time I have a qualitative project.

Pros

Delve is very user-friendly. Its quite intuitive, so its easy for new users, including students, to pick it up. It is also very affordable and easy to cancel. I was able to work with undergraduate students during the school year, then pause our subscription until we could resume after the summer and winter break. It is great that we are able to see each other's codebooks, so I was able to see that our students were making progress on their coding. The export feature was super helpful when we were done with our project. I was able to export all of our codes, which is making it easier to put the manuscript together.

Cons

One feature that could be improved would be keeping track of overlapping codes. There were several times when we accidentally double coded the same block of text, but it was not easy to visibly distinguish between the underlined text and identify the double code.

Great for My Dissertation

Reviewed 5 months ago

Overall, DELVE was a game changer for my qualitative research project. Its user-friendly interface, efficient data management, powerful analysis tool, seamless collaboration features and responsive support made it a must-have tool for me. I highly recommend DELVE for conducting academic research or any other form of qualitative inquiry.

Pros

One of the standout features of DELVE is its user-friendly interface. Navigating through the software was a breeze by making complex tasks feel manageable. I was triangulating 3 sets of data: my field notes, student reflexivity journals, and student interviews. The amount of qualitative data was overwhelming, but DELVE helped to simply this process remarkably well. It also facilitated easy retrieval of my data and stopped me from spending hours searching for that elusive quote buried in my data. The staff were also available to help answer questions and help at any time.

Cons

It didn't have the ability to download the actual interviews, videos, or MP3 files. So, I had to transcribe the data first, then upload it into the system.
