Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Majestic overview
What is Majestic?
Majestic provides link intelligence and domain metrics in the form of backlink histories, referring domains, anchor texts, keyword search volume, and their own Flow Metrics, to equip SEOs and marketing professionals with the information to improve their link building and search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.
Majestic has two separate link indexes - the 'Historic’ index, which is refreshed monthly, and 'Fresh’ index, which is refreshed daily. The historic index spans back over more than five years, and allows users to review historic backlink profiles and create reports for custom historic timeframes.
Users can be notified of new links for pages or sites they are tracking, and any mentions of their brand name or domain which has not linked to their site, informing them of potential link opportunities.
Majestic’s Flow Metrics allows users to assess the likely size and quality of sites in advance of any linkbuilding outreach. Citation Flow predicts the influence of a URL, based on the number of sites linking to it, while Trust Flow is based on how closely a site is linked to manually-reviewed trusted seed sites, and predicts the likely quality level of that site. Topical Trust Flow has categorised the entire web by industry, and scores are given for over 800 categories which rate how influential a web page is for each given topic.
Key benefits of using Majestic
Reports can be created for specific years through the historic index, and filtered to only include data from specific date ranges
Majestic reveals where users’ website names have been mentioned without being linked to, giving users information on new link opportunities
Users can compare backlink history for up to 5 domains at a time, and the backlink profiles for two sites can be compared graphically with the ‘link profile fight’ tool
First- and last-crawled dates allow users to analyse the history of a site, and confirm the existence of past site relationships which are no longer live
Flow Metrics enable users to evaluate a site’s potential as an outreach target, based on both the site’s influence (both overall and within specific sectors) and their perceived level of quality or trustworthiness
