Pros

I really like how Booker allows clients to schedule on line and purchase gift certificates. Most clients love the ability to schedule on line.
It's also super easy checking out clients, but best of all is that I'm able to manage our calendar for both therapists and clients, and reschedule with ease.
Booker is easy to set up and very intuitive. The price is good and they have great customer service.

Pros

I love the way you can customize your subscription to meet whatever needs you have in your space. The site and app are easy to navigate and I love all of the reports that are available to me.
This has been the first program that I used to start my business with, and it is super user friendly for any beginner business owner and current to keep track on your progress.
Clients love how easy it is to book appointments online. Love how you can customize confirmation notifications for clients.

Cons

Only pain and anguish and wasted money. I can't even get the reps to respond to my emails about a refund.
It takes forever to track and check people out. The reports are confusing and make no sense and their payroll is not customizable so I still have to outsource and pay more.
SO finally I'm writing this review and turning them into the fraud division.

Cons

I had some trouble refreshing the page and getting linked to another site. There was a lot of advertisement for other companies, so I also got distracted at times.
Needs Apple Pay support desperately, especially in this era of COVID-19, this is a glaring omission.
Switched to Vagaro from Booker and I hate it but I’m trapped.

It helped me start my business; reminds clients of their appointments via text/email; stay current with inventory and reports

Pros

The on-boarding process, customer service; continuous efforts to improve the user experience; that it doesn't show nearby competitors like Vagaro; seemless connection with Clover credit card system with option to email receipt for a paperless environment

Cons

The phone app could be more user friendly. Ex: I'd like to see a tab for the client notes to appear so I can reference them during a consult instead of having to go to my laptop. Booker seems to go offline or freeze during peak times.

Pros

Nothing. I just signed up with the free trial. I set up 3 separate appointments with "Avery" and none of them happened. Ultimately he had entered my contact number incorrectly -3 times! I had taken an hour out of 3 different days and they wasted my time. I figured if this was any indication of how great their software performed......NO!.... read on.

Cons

SO you have to enter a credit card to do the "free" trial. I never did the free trial and they have charged my credit card since October. I have called and called. SO finally I'm writing this review and turning them into the fraud division. Unbelieveable. Go with Vagaro--they are absolutely fantastic!!

Pros: I went with booker over Vagaro because you do not need to use their ugly menu headers. This was a great asset. Email and SMS auto texts to my customers. Custom checkout for mobile (very handy!). Mobile app for $30/mo - this is a no brainer. Yeah I really like booker. Checkins are easy and they help me with everything from accounting to scheduling. They're truly a one stop shop.

Looking for another service

Lack of follow through, lack of communication, lack of urgency to resolve issues, it's been over 2 months and using this system has NOT gotten easier, still can't accept American Express, still manually entering in credit card numbers because our swiper doesn't work...should I go on! I'm shopping for a new company. Vagaro was a bit irritating at times but Booker is by far worse and twice the cost. This was my worst mistake.

Former Booker Software Client!

I started my company using Booker 8 years prior to changing to Vagaro and was not looking forward to the change. Booker was purchased from another company and their price doubled and their services lessoned. In looking for another POS system I found Vagaro was comparable to all the services used in Booker in addition to more. Vagaro transfer of information was convenient and affordable also.

Pros

Mass email marketing included. Loyalty points for valued clients. Access level differential for booth renters and commission employees. You can also advertise via their platform if needed.

Cons

When trying to upload documents that are not regulation according to "Vagaro" terms and agreements, their generic response does not explain exactly what guidelines that are not supported. IE... What exactly do I need to correct with "said" picture to make sure I don't recreate the mistake. That is my only pitfall with their system.

A great switch!

When Booker raised their rates, I had to look for something that had everything Booker had. And I found Vagaro. Not only did it have what Booker had it also has some incentives I found appealing and cost effective. I have not only use of the software for booking appointment I also have a new website for $10 extra. Everything I have is all under $50! You can't beat that price!!!

Pros

I enjoy the ease of navigating it and the options that come with it.

Cons

So far I've been satisfied and have found nothing yet.

really enjoying it, it was a great business move for myself SUGGESTION please add a certification uploads to staff for the website portion that would be EXTREMELY useful!

Pros

-super easy to use! ( unlike booker) - love the help videos -how its compatible with Instagram - comes with a website so i don't have to create one

Cons

- wish there was a copy( to clip board) button for appointments to move it faster to other days - calendar would stay open to 24hrs not to miss early appointments -when moving an appointment although doesn't allow ( due to a small overlapping client ) wish there was ( a book anyways) pop up

Impressive software with all the features

I switched from Booker paying much more monthly with less features and very poor customer service. I am really pleased with vagaro

Pros

There are many features that vagaro has already included in the software that I love, the automated reminders, touch free checkout, etc... I really love also that the customer support is responsive and listens to suggestions for new features as well as responding quickly

Cons

I don't like that I get logged out of my system throughout the day, it's a minor nuisance and I'm sure necessary for security in more open spa situations

I get a full booking salon software that is portable for a small suite owner. I have everything the big salons offers and a affordable price.

Pros

The fact that I have all of the online booking things I need, along with inventory and email marketing for cheaper than other booking apps.

Cons

I wish it was easier to see the sales projections and daily totals. My former booker would send me a weekly sales projection email on Mondays and I thought helped my business.

Wish I knew about Vagaro sooner

I was using Booker by Mindbody and spending $200 a month. Vagaro not only offers the same features but more for a fraction of the investment. The program is super easy to use on mine and my clients end. I love the text confirmation option and the card processor is super easy to set up and didn't cost me another few hundred dollars like Booker charged.

Pros

User friendly. Straight forward. Easy for clients to navigate.

Cons

I haven't found anything that I don't like yet about Vagaro

Beautiful!

Pros

Integration was easy and fast, but not everything transferred. Blocked out sections on booker didn't transfer, and quite a few client profiles had everything except the last name, vagaro just put a ? in place of the last name. Easy to use!! Finally a booking platform that is made for Salons! Bravo!

Great value

I am definitely looking forward to learning all the features Vagaro has to offer.

Pros

I'm new to Vagaro and I must say I am pretty impressed. Ive used other apps like Booker and Vagaro seems so user friendly in comparison. The POS transactions are smooth and quick. Their Customer service is very helpful when I have any questions too. I also love the fact that I can easily sell Gift Certificates online.

Cons

The Gap time on the online booking doesn't work for me since I am an Esthetician and Massage therapist. I would like to see a recover time option to add to my services so it doesn't appear that the services are actually longer than they are.

They keep everything easy. Reports, customer information, booking can be pretty effortless and fast.

Pros

Overall this is easy to use! I cant compare to other systems for being on my own (self employeed, suite owner) but overall compared to booker or a few others i used this is easy to learn and set items. The tutorials are helpful as is customer service. The mobile app works just as well as a computer which makes it easy on the go or in salon to book.

Cons

Checking out customers through the checkout/swipe its fairly slow. Also is more time to navigate through to add products, etc. I tried at first but didnt love it. I switched to a different POS system for checkout.

Great system just for me

I'm a sole proprietor and compared every booking site I could find. Vagaro had everything I needed and more for the best price. FAR better than Booker or Mindbody. My clients love the text reminders! I love that I can create emails, track all my records and inventory, create notes for every client, and access my schedule from any of my devices.

Pros

Ease of scheduling, reports tracking, online gift certificates, text reminders

Cons

If my client has been to another person on Vagaro, I can't input their email into their profile on MY system. It's really annoying.

Online booking was a nice perk, although if a client didn't know how to book the first time(new online website) they would add themselves again so deleting a profile found to be quite an ordeal. I was willing to get past the slower, unreliable point of sale and I can't start to explain how much time and effort went into setting this up and transitioning from another booker is so I'm so discusted to have to do it again due to in my opinion an easy fix by the company. I still can't believe how this matter was handled and how I was spoken to over a small order of gift cards.

You didn't report issues accessing any of the account functions. If you had we would have advised on how to correct any connectivity issues. The mobile CC reader which operates with the Vagaro Pro app does use a headphone jack which works with the iPhone X adapter; we have no issues w/ compatibility/connection reliability.
