What is tab32?

tab32 is a cloud-based dental EHR and practice management software (PMS) which offers a range of tools for managing appointment scheduling, treatment planning, charting, documents and images, patient communications, and more. The system can be used by practices of all sizes, including single, mobile, and group practices, with a shared patient database allowing multiple practice locations to access the same patient data.

With tab32’s dental EHR, users can manage appointments and scheduling, treatment planning, charting, images and documents, patient ledgers, statements, and reports, and employee hours. Color-coding, shortcut keys, and a configurable keypad are designed to simplify charting. Multiple personalized treatment plans can be created by treatment options, patient visits, or both, and patient consent can be recorded using electronic signatures. Users can add treatment, appointment, ledger, insurance, and other notes, and receive non-intrusive medical, medication, and allergy alerts. The ImageCapture module enables the capture and upload of a range of images, including intra-oral pictures and x-rays, ortho profile pictures, and panoramic and ceph images. Referral x-rays, paper perio-charts, medical history forms, and other documents can also be uploaded.

tab32 offers multiple methods for communicating with patients both manually and automatically. Two-way text messaging allows users to send and receive SMS messages through a personalized number with local area code. The VoIP telephony system can be used to make and receive calls through the EHR system, and includes caller ID to identify incoming calls. Appointment confirmations and reminders can be sent automatically to patients at set intervals before their upcoming appointment. ‘Save the date’ messages also aim to reduce no-shows by allowing patients to opt-in for pre-appointment reminders.

Using the system I am able to run a teledentistry operation, which is a big win. The software is able to handle our processes and the way we interact with patients as well as hygienists and dentists working asynchronously. Customer Rep did a great job in responding to any questions we have in a timely way. I would highly recommend them.

Pros
The software includes many features that I need and is highly configurable, which makes me feel like I can do anything and allows me to make processes unique to my company. My favorite feature are the ability to link clients customized forms and not require them to make an email or password, which helps reduce the obstacle of patients booking with us while still capturing all the needed data.

Cons
There are very many icons, which requires some upfront training.

Very helpful during the migration as well as training and implementation.

Pros
tab32 allowed us to move us off of our server while not losing any key workflows that we needed. We even saved on our monthly payments by consolidating all our different vendors we were using by moving to tab32. From patient texting, free updates, estatements with online payments, unlimited eclaims, online booking, reporting, digital x ray studio, and many more, tab32 had everything we needed to keep growing our practice and move to a post server world.

Cons
Change management is always difficult, but after using the software for about 2-3 weeks my staff became very efficient.

Amazing For Dental Practice

So far ahead of the competition and so simple and easy to use. I opened my practice and never regretted the decision of getting TAB32

Pros
Its just amazing and everything is in one place. Very intuitive and runs on low data speed also The customer service is the best and always helpful

Cons
the Integrated payment system by stripe charges more than the normal fees though I use another payment terminal by my bank have to train team members and more of un-learning curve to forget those old systems like eaglesoft and dentrix

I found out that my current system is way more advanced.

Pros
The concept of all things integrate d and cloud based is great. Especially the X-rays. Hello Patient is another.

Cons
It's still in the concept stage. The software needs way more work. Buyer beware, it is smoke and mirrors. They get you to pay for set-up and have a brief review of software. No formal training. Once you've paid for set-up and first month's fee and really use the software you find out how inept the software is compared to others. For the seasoned offices I would require them to offer free set-up and work with the software for 90 days so you have a good grasp of what you're buying. Keep your old system running. For the new dentists, do your research, what you don't know can be detrimental.

Pros
Customer service is impeccable. Always willing to assist with any problems I've had. Additionally, they are frequently updating the software, making changes or adjustments based on the user likes or dislikes. The layout of the software is also very intuitive and easy to learn.

Cons
Nothing I can think of. Haven't been using the software long enough yet to have any issues. However, any issues I would have could be easily changed by the developers.

Benefits

Two-way text messaging enables real-time communication with patients, with a dedicated phone number and local area code, and users can also make and receive patient calls from within the EHR system.

A range of image and document types can be uploaded and managed, including medical history forms, referral x-rays, perio-charts, reports, intra-oral pictures, ortho profile pictures, and panoramic and ceph images.

The configurable keypad can be used to enter the most frequently used service codes, and quick shortcut keys enable single-click entry of multiple treatments and pre-existing conditions.

The built-in scheduling tools allow users to manage patient appointments and treatments, create to-do, recall, and waiting lists, and navigate to patient profiles, treatment plans, and charts.

Dashboards give users an overview of practice performance, including progress towards seasonal or monthly KPI goals, financial performance, new and returning patients, treatments, referrals, demographics, collections, and more.
