The best part of Basil however is how fantastically responsive they are for everything from Customer Support to suggested changes and updates to making their product a better fit.

It's super easy to use and my clients love it. I don't have resistance issues with my clients that others do because of the simplicity of it all.

My overall experience has been positive as it has given me an affordable portal with good customer support.

The thing I've appreciated most about Basil is the support team. The response has always been very quick, and my questions have been answered clearly.

Most of my initial complaints have been fixed - having clients sign up was clunky the 1st year (they would sign up as a company instead of one of your clients) but that has been fixed.

That was a feature my last system had that I really miss.

This has been a very easy to use platform. Customer service has been great and I have not had any problems with them speaking over my head or discounting what my concerns have been.

The trainer was perfect and it didn't take much time.  I started using it and uploading client documents right after the 1st training.   I felt like a pro right away.  Our clients just started using it and are not having as much difficulty as they did with all the other programs like this.  1. I send one email 2. Our client logs in  3.  The client gets an email when I add a document to their folders  4. A new client can have documents saved for them and a new client contract requesting an e-signature when they set up their login.

I am excited to tax time!  I feel so sassy telling my client to put your tax forms in Basil and I'll get started right away

Every interaction I have had with Basil has been fantastic. They are responsive, amazing at follow up and so very easy to work with. You have a problem, or don't understand something and they are always happy to direct you where to get help or show you where you went wrong in putting things in.

Overall, I'm very happy with the decision to purchase Basil. They have a lot of development yet to be done, but the fact that they are willing to listen and understand the reasons for the functions needed is great. Having worked in this industry for over 20 year and used many project management systems, I am more than willing to share my knowledge and they are willing to listen.

I have not had any problems overall. My representative and I have discussed suggested capabilities on several occasions, and they have been open to the ideas.

An easy-to-use option for clients to share files. 

So far so good, we did have to drop the document management and signature aspects.

1. We would love to hear more detailed feedback on document sharing and signatures. We are continuously making improvements to our product and if you can reach out to Basil Support, we would be happy to address your feedback on our roadmap.

2. Basil does support resending an invite to a client who has not responded. After adding a client, click on the three-dot menu for that client and you will see a "Resend Invite" button.

3. Basil has a flexible permissions system that lets you add custom roles, add custom permissions into each role, and add team members into roles so that multiple people on your staff can perform tasks safely. Since we are learning as we go along, it seems to be user friendly.

To be honest it hasn't been my cup of tea, but I am also not familiar with it yet. So, I am going to give it time.

Thanks for your valuable feedback. We have removed the requirement for a client to enter a PIN two times. We will also add the ability for your team to edit client emails without assistance from the support team. Basil does support downloading or moving multiple documents all at once (click on "Select" -> select the files you wish to download or move -> click on "Download" or "Move"). My experience so far has been very positive. I do not have a lot of time being a small tax office. Each person I have worked with has been very patient and accommodating to my schedule and needs. I'm excited to be able to have a better level of organization of work flow.

Getting Organized

My experience thus far has been extremely pleasant. The team at Basil has been wonderful and exceeded my expectations with the level of support they provide. While I'm still learning the platform, I have had several questions that have been immediately addressed by the Basil team, providing useful information and further explaining processes beyond my expectations. Basil overall, is user friendly and offers a broad selection of features to assist with delegating tasks, and staying on track during the work day.

Overall well worth it for the money.  Easy to use, and tech support is fantastic.  I am sure I am probably not using many of the features available.  

Great system for the price

Overall Basil is great.  If I need support they are responsive.  I have given the team feedback and they implemented ideas as they are able.  They want to know what you think will make thier product better and easier to use for you. 

Basil - easy to use 

I am really liking this product in general.  It is inexpensive compared to the competition and it works fine.  I think it will continue to get better as they grow.  The customer service has been very good.  Sometimes they have not been able to solve my particular problem but they are always very nice and responsive.  I like the follow up too when a solution is created later.  I do feel a little like a Beta tester sometimes.  There are pros and cons to being in on the ground floor.

Good product, good value

My overall experience with Basil is positive. The product works well and is easy to navigate and implement. The support team is exceptional. I've always had a wonderful experience with all facets of Basil.  

Basil is for large and small companies!

So far so good.  I've been slowly moving my clients into the portal as I work with them, so hopefully the transition continues to go smoothly in the vast changing world for tax security for our clients.

So far, I am really liking the website.  It is a learning curve but that is normal with new software.  I think it will be very valuable as we use it.

I've had a very positive experience with Basil, all my concerns are heard and addressed, my clients get wonderful reps who help them when needed and I know our information is safe in the cloud and its allowed us to take on more clients and have people work at home as we all have access to necessary information.
