I am appreciating the customizable workflow templates to quickly add the standard bookkeeping workflows to every client but then also add tasks for their one-off situations that don't apply to my other clients; I am absolutely loving the built in invoicing and billing platform to take care of collecting payment from my clients; the Client Portal is extremely easy for my clients to use to securely share documents and to answer questions that I have about transactions.

Managing Member

It allows us to organize client work, assign tasks, monitor deadlines, and track the status of recurring projects much more efficiently.

The platform helps solve workflow visibility and task management challenges by giving me one place to track recurring work, deadlines, and follow-up items.

It also allows for security for my clients as we trade sensitive information. And lastly, it gives a professional touch to my business with a client portal.

The interface is clean, the workflow structure is intuitive, and it gives strong visibility into recurring tasks, deadlines, and team accountability.

Owner-Founder

Currently, the requirement for annual payment, along with the lack of monthly pricing and multi-currency options, makes it a bit challenging to fully evaluate the platform before committing.

It also only integrates with QuickBooks Online for their ReCats feature which means for clients using other accounting software such as Xero, additional tech is needed to perform the same task increasing overhead costs.

Bookkeeper

Additionally, the note-taking section is extremely useful for me as a bookkeeper, since I rely heavily on my past notes to track numbers, changes in clients’ digital financial files, and updates.

The features of FC have checked almost all of the boxes that I need to run my business, and with the ability to integrate the platform with Zappier, I think I can check the rest of the boxes!

What I love about Financial Cents is that it tackles some of the biggest pain points in our industry—missed deadlines, scattered communication, and processes that live in too many places. With everything centralized, our team can manage recurring tasks, stay accountable, and keep client work moving smoothly.

Operations Manager-Accounting Assitant

Files, client correspondence, deadlines, workflow, timekeeping, billable client minutes/hours.

Financial Cents has everything you need in one place, from the time tracking to payment processing, task management, project management, this system has it all!

The templates, employee timesheets, internal reports, and project management are the best I've seen and used. If you are looking for a well rounded CRM and Project management system that is affordable and will grow with you....

Accountant

helps solve the problem of disorganized workflows and missed deadlines by centralizing all client tasks, communications, and timelines in one place

It provides clear structure and visibility into ongoing work, making it easier to manage deadlines and keep the team aligned.

Marketing and Communications Executive

This software is exceptional for tracking critical deadlines across my various investment projects.

Founder and CEO

It feels like the software was designed specifically for bookkeepers and accountants, which makes a big difference compared to generic project management tools. Since moving to Financial Cents, I feel more organized, confident, and less stressed about deadlines.

The high-level overview allows me to know exactly who is doing what and where deliverables stand.

Partner

Additionally, they gated useful features like expanded reports and proposals to the billing module so that you can’t use them if you don’t use their merchant services.

There also is not a place to add a secondary "return" account for when we need to send refunds to clients.

Their monthly “feature recap” meetings are amazing as well because they share updates and also take the time to answer questions and hear our opinions live.

The Month-End Close functionality is huge, it has helped me cut down the time it takes to do month-end tasks drastically.

I adopted Financial Cents to organize the workload related to tax season closures and dividend distributions.

It improves organization, supports better deadline management, and helps streamline day-to-day operations within the firm.

It provides a solid foundation for operational processes, although there is room for improvement in flexibility and pricing options.

Advisory Bookkeeper

Oh I love the email integration in scale it allows me to view emails from each client and it's connected to the client file, Very helpful.

The platform is well-structured and helpful for organizing workflows and managing tasks.

Admin and Bookkeeper

Accessing client uploads is not intuitive on our end, and the client chat does not always notify us or the client, especially if a project is already closed.

Support is usually quick and helpful if you need to contact them for an issue. Although not customizable for some reason, the client information is laid out well and includes all communications with the client as well as any resources needed.

Principal

It has significantly improved our efficiency by keeping tasks, deadlines, and client communication organized in one place.

Feature recap meetings – Monthly live sessions to share updates, answer questions, and gather user opinions.

The real value is that it allows us to run efficiently behind the scenes so we can show up as a true trusted partner to our clients.

Firm owner

The client portal is the standout feature for me—it makes me look much more professional to my clients and keeps everything secure.

Assistant Bookkeeper

What I like least about Financial Cents is the fact that when viewing the dashboard, you cannot view the project details unless you click on it.

You can send file requests to clients monthly but after they upload you can only download or manipulate one at a time.

BAS Agent Bookkeeper

Overall, I think Financial Cents is a great piece of software to help small businesses manage clients, workflow, team work and gave clarity over where work was up to.

My clients love the client portal, they are able to see all correspondence and billing in one place.

The Projects and task features make it super clear, super simple, and honestly—it just keeps me moving. If you care about actually getting sht done for your clients, this is the kind of system that works.

So far, it looks like a solid solution for standardizing processes and keeping client work organized.

File management is excellent, with organized folders that make collecting and storing monthly reports a breeze.

Business Manager

It is very easy for projects to switch between team members if something were to happen. If a team member is sick, another team member can still offer the clients a good client experience because of the team/client task keeping everyone in order.

Recats - links with QBO to pull uncategorized transactions and request info from clients.

My team and I use it daily for task management and client communications and document exchange.

One thing I find less ideal about Financial Cents is that when I add a “Client Task,” the email notifications it sends can’t be personalized much.

Admin Assistant and Bookkeeper

Now we can upload documents into the portal and automatically notify clients that work has been completed.

They even have a roadmap that allows you to comment and vote on upcoming implementations.

Business Operations Director

More often than not, the people on the live chat are unsure of the answers and frequently need to escalate issues to the design team and other relevant teams to find solutions.

Adjusting timesheets for hourly tasks is a hassle unless I create a project first, which feels unnecessary for quick jobs.

Everything—emails, notes, files—is centralized under each client, which saves us a ton of time and back-and-forth.

Financial Cents helps keep client work organized and provides clear visibility into tasks and deadlines.

customer support is bad - you can only chat with someone - and most things are escalated to the next level of support but it can take several days days/weeks to get things resoved.

I was attracted to Taxdome's features like anyone else would be when looking at it from almost two years ago. Once I was a customer of theirs though and could see the effort they put into answering their customers on Facebook and communicating when something is broken, getting community feedback and votes to decide the next project, and using open community testers for new features.
