TaxDome has an incredible client portal and consolidated multiple pieces of software into one. We used OfficeTools prior and that program is a diseaster **STAY AWAY FROM OFFICETOOLS**. Clients HATED our OfficeTools portal and it created MORE work for us when consolidated source documents. The eSig function of OfficeTools never worked correctly. Lastly, OfficeTools ended up being my worst business decision. I stupidly got into a long term contract to get better pricings and I am not abandoning the program and will be paying for it for 2 more years. Checking with my attorney because we tested one version of the client portal and then they released new version a month after we signed up and the new version is HORRIBLE.

No cons. Would be nice if the client portal was more customizable or had dashboards to upload financial information for clients.

The interface is appealing, easy to navigate, and processed my transactions efficiently.

At first I didn't realize that all I needed to do to change card information was delete the existing data, so I clicked around trying to figure out how to update this account.

Having a central repository for tax is useful and helps to stay organized -- especially having a central repository to save tax docs per year.

Use of the TaxDome software is really dictated by my accountant and financial planners, so have not explored other features as much independently.

The biggest benefit for me is how simply the software organizes all my complicated financial documents for me to view in one place

Loved the thought that the company put into this software. They are definitely focused on the user and adding day-to-day practical features. I feel that they are in overdrive adding enhancements and new features several times a week now. Love the Kanban look and feel along with the features of the Pipeline with Automove. This is super powerful.

The GUI is a bit flat and dated. It could benefit from a fresher look, crisper fonts and some depth to screen. Also, the CRM is OK, but could be better laid out with more usable fields. I.E. it just has generic text fields for date of birth and does not calculate the age of the contact. This is super important as advisors need to know the age of clients as major financial events happen at age 18, 21, 59.5, 65, 72. I feel that they will circle back to this and improve it over time. BTW - TaxDome name needs to go because imho, it is too limiting, this program is so much more than just a tax industry/CPA program! It is great for any type of consulting, financial planning, wealth management and almost any other service related company.

We've been looking for a program that has it all and we finally stumbled across Tax Dome. Even as a small company, we process over 1,000 tax returns a year, plus offer bookkeeping services, as well as other financial services. We needed a service that had it all in one place with an efficient task manager. We've been able to stay more organized and increase our scale of business.

The integration took a little while to be fully completed, and of course there's a learning curve with a new program/software, but we're confident, with practice, Tax Dome will only become easier to use.

This software has many features you need to run your tax office (or bookkeeping, other financial services, etc...). It handles your workflow process, automated emails, unlimited signatures (KBA as well), client portal, CRM, unlimited storage, email sync, QBO sync, etc... This allows you to reduce your tech stack and operate in efficiency. It allows you to be 100% virtual, which is becoming more important. Also, new features and updates seem to be coming out every week. That is exciting to know they are truly interested in developing an amazing product.

Although, it has features that cover every aspect that you need to run your operations, some of the features still need to be built out with a little more flexibility to truly automate your entire process. However, the customer service is very responsive, and they are open to hearing and implementing new ideas to make their software even better.

Everything we need for the client is in one spot. We don't have to search through emails, text messages or voicemails. We can communicate directly with the client and everything is saved to their folder. It also makes it easier as our firm is growing for new employees to understand who are clients are. All the information that we know we can put in their file and when they call us we can pick up right where they left off without having to be debriefed by the last staff member that spoke with them. This will truly free us off to take on more clients and expand our financial side of the firm because the owner no longer has to be the brain who knows everything about everyone.

Uploading the client files in the beginning took some time but once that was done it was worth it. I would love if their was a way to sync TaxDome with our Tax Software but even without this feature TaxDome is a life saver.
