Mailtrack is an email tracking tool for Gmail, running since 2013 with more than 3 million users. It installs as a Chrome extension and runs inside the Gmail interface, with no separate client and no change to how mail is sent. HOW IT WORKS Mailtrack adds double check marks to the Sent folder: one for delivered, two for read. Emails are sent through the user's own Gmail account on Google's infrastructure rather than a third-party relay, so sending reputation and deliverability are unaffected. TRACKING - Unlimited read receipts on the free plan, with no send limit - Per-recipient tracking on group sends: identifies which specific recipient opened, not only that an open occurred - Complete activity log per email, every open and click timestamped - Link click tracking - Self-open filtering: opens from the sender's own account are excluded, so re-reading a sent message is not counted - Real-time notifications on desktop, mobile and by email - Configurable reminders when a message goes unopened or unanswered - Mail merge campaigns: personalised bulk email sent from Gmail, with each recipient tracked individually PLATFORMS Chrome extension for Gmail, Android and iOS apps, and Outlook support.
