What is Otter?

Otter is a transcription software designed to help educational institutions and corporate businesses generate notes for meetings, interviews, and lectures through voice dictation or file transcription. The artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled solution allows organizations to record, edit, organize, and save voice notes and interactions in a centralized repository.

Employees can use the application to create real-time transcripts with text, photos, and audio files, import video recordings from external applications, and create user groups to share voice notes in bulk. Otter lets managers collaborate with team members to highlight key phrases and edit notes in real-time. The application also enables administrators to add users on the platform, configure permissions, and generate reports based on usage statistics.

Otter supports integration with various video conferencing systems, such as Zoom, Skype for Business, GoToMeeting, UberConference, BlueJeans, Lifesize, Webex, Highfive, Hangout, and more via APIs.
