3 years ago our company set up and began to implement a Safety Management System (OHMS) so that we could achieve COR certification with WorkSafe BC.

Early on in the process, we realized that we would need a way to provide two-way communication with our workers (most of whom work remotely from our office locations) and also to record safety-related information relevant to our OHMS.

Rather than try to create such a system we looked at several online, cloud-based options that could do the job for us with little or no set-up time and effort involved. Site Docs fit the bill perfectly.

The templates that were immediately available to us for such things as incident reporting and investigation, site inspections, equipment inspections, risk assessments and toolbox talks enabled us to get up and running with our system quickly, efficiently and in a way that was easy for our field staff to understand and adopt into their daily work patterns.

The system worked so well for us that we achieved our goal of COR certification in record time thanks, in no small part, to the ease with which our auditors were able to see our records.

There is no doubt that the adoption of Site Docs into our OHMS has made us a more proactive company with respect to Safety and has helped encourage a much better safety culture among our employees. The numbers don't lie. Our rates of incidents and near misses have dramatically decreased resulting in a safer work environment and lower WCB premiums.

Since adopting SiteDocs into our daily working routine we have developed an OHS Management System that has been certified as COR-compliant and, most importantly, has improved our overall Health and Safety Stats tremendously. I am convinced that our attention to hazard identification and risk assessment has improved greatly and, as a result, our employees are far more safety conscious when performing their duties.

We love the product our tracking of inspections and reporting has improved 100% and when you need to find something that happened on a certain day it is very easy to filter out and find exactly what you were looking for.  The other thing the information is very to share.

Sitedocs allows us to efficiently manage all aspects of our safety program while being able to improve our program by easily creating new forms for our continously growing company. From jobsite hazard assessments, trucking safety inspection logs, machinery and tool inspections and accident investigations. The ability I have to pull up daily reports done by our field workers and share instantaneously to the general contractor safety team puts us at a great advantage.

I had trouble navigating through the program and even after finding what I was looking for or needed to do, I constantly had to help others to navigate their way through the program, which ended up in people deciding to rather avoid using the program and going back to old-school paperwork.

The best safety management tool

My overall opinion regarding this program is if you are considering a paperless system, choose SITEDOCS!  Not only do they have all the forms and resources that we need to have a excellent safety program but also the best customer support, very quick, on point and extremely knowledgeable...even if they don't have the answer immediately they aren't afraid to say and to ask others for help.  I appreciate them very much, they are all so helpful.    

SiteDocs meets and exceeds all of our needs.

Safety is a critical part of construction now.  Daily HAs, fall protection plans and lift inspections, training certificates,  tool box meetings, start up meetings  are all required for COR, and contractors.  You must be able to do the required paperwork, and have it signed and submitted in the most efficient manner in order to stay competitive in the construction industry.  Sitedocs can, and will do all of these things.

                                                       Before using SiteDocs we use Google Forms. Because we need more functionality than what we have in Google Forms, so we're looking for another solution to replace Google Forms. And we look into Intellect, into eCompliance, and we ends up with SiteDocs.
                                                       We decided to select SiteDocs. The first and very important is that SiteDocs can work offline and its provide good functionality and very user-friendly.
                                                       The very first time with SiteDocs, SiteDocs team supports us a lot. They have us to bring all the user from Google Forms into SiteDocs and provide several online instruction for orientation and training for the implements and team in my company, to make sure that we fluidly and smoothly transfer from Google Forms into SiteDocs.
                                                       From my experience, managing SiteDocs over the last few year, my most recommendation to someone who want to use SiteDocs is before transfer to your system into SiteDocs, thinking about how to naming your form, because SiteDocs do not have something like the internal directory that you can classify different type form into some group. So naming a form is very important to make sure that your user, they can find the form, navigate inside the whole list of the form, very easy to find the form that they are looking for. And it's like, it took us some time to find a solution for that thing, to have the form name precisely, easy to understand, easy to remembers, and easy to navigate.
