Redmine overview

What is Redmine?

Redmine is an online project management software built on the Ruby on Rails framework specifically for small groups. It accommodates multiple projects and provides a wiki and forum for each one. It can be used as an issue tracker in addition to managing files and documents and user permissions may be assigned based on roles. Redmine can create Gantt charts, calendars, RSS feeds, and email notifications. Groups can use Redmine as a time tracker and view time by user, issue or activity.

“It's horrible at issue management, even tho you can customize the UX it's not intuitive, it has a big community but not that big compared with their competitors and most of the plugins are hard to implement or incomplete since are obsolete.”

“To supplement some of its lacking features a reporting tool has been used, but the day-to-day use is horrible both for the team and management.”
