SmartGov overview

What is SmartGov?

SmartGov is a cloud-based software suite hosted on Amazon Web Service (AWS) that supports local government authorities and city planners in managing key areas of community development. Catering to officials, agencies, contractors, business operators and local citizens, SmartGov's scalable modular design blends back-office dashboard management with a Citizen Portal for providing anytime web access to multiple services.

Supporting the practices of building permitting and business licensing, SMARTGov handles the application lodging process and status tracking alongside the processing of fee payments, applicant letter creation and issuing. The software's code enforcement and business inspection tools also cover the scheduling of recurring inspections or visits, inspection note taking and planning corrections, while connectivity with the Inspect app for iOS provides synchronized access for field inspection staff.

Additional features include transaction and fee handling with integration for not only credit card transaction processing, but also any existing treasury or accounting systems. SmartGov's customizable ad hoc reporting capabilities then leverage Exago BI to track data such as agency / staff performance, licensing efficiency and delivery times, plus a number of other service trends.
