FrontLine overview

What is FrontLine?

FrontLine is the operations platform for multi-client contact centres. It sits alongside your CCaaS, not on top of it, and covers the operational layer around the calls: hiring, scheduling, quality, coaching, client reporting, and compliance evidence.

What makes it different is structural. Every record in the system carries three levels of scope, which are your tenant, the client account, and the line of business. That scoping is enforced in PostgreSQL with row-level security, again in the permission layer, again in the API, and again in the interface. An agent can be assigned to several clients and LOBs at the same time without their schedules, evaluations, or reports leaking across accounts.

Modules included:

- Recruiting: requisitions, pipelines, interview scheduling, offers, background check and document collection, candidate portal

- Onboarding: task workflows, e-signature, equipment and access provisioning, day-one readiness tracking

- Core HR: employee records, approval-gated change requests for sensitive fields, leave and time off, private information with separate access controls

- Workforce management: forecasting, scheduling by client and LOB, shift bidding and swaps, real-time adherence, intraday alerts, supervisor wallboard, labour compliance rules for Canadian provinces and US states

- Quality: scorecard builder, evaluation workflow, calibration sessions, disputes, quality analytics

- Training and coaching: learning paths, certifications, coaching sessions, skills and competency with expiry and gap analysis

- Engagement: performance reviews, goals, recognition, pulse surveys, wellbeing check-ins

- Knowledge management, service desk, internal and customer chat, inventory and software license tracking, offboarding with exit interviews and knowledge transfer

- Client portal and billing: scoped client logins, SLA and KPI dashboards, billable hours, invoicing, scheduled report delivery

- Reporting: pre-built dashboards, custom report builder, scheduled delivery, PDF and CSV export

Integrations and platform:

- Native telephony adapters for Amazon Connect, Genesys Cloud, Five9, Avaya Experience Platform, Twilio Flex, and Zoom Contact Center. Call records, agent state sync, screen pop, QA linkage, CSAT ingestion, and supervisor monitor, coach, and barge

- Softphone embed inside the agent workspace for supported platforms

- SSO through OIDC and SAML with Entra ID, Okta, and Google Workspace, plus native email and password as a fallback

- REST API with idempotency keys, standard error envelopes, and pagination

- Async job and webhook infrastructure for bulk import, export, and long-running operations

Security and compliance:

- Tenant isolation enforced at the database layer with row-level security, not only in application code

- Immutable audit log on every privileged and sensitive action

- SOC 2 Type II evidence package generation built into the product

- PIPEDA and CCPA aware, with DSAR workflow, right to erasure and anonymization, retention policy engine, and PII access logging with anomaly alerting

- Data residency in Canada or the United States

- MFA, device trust, and role-based access control with granular module-level permissions

Deployment is cloud SaaS with no on-premise install. The interface is fully bilingual in English and Canadian French. Most customers are live in two to four weeks, with onboarding that covers data migration, client and LOB structure setup, and team training. Support is email on Starter, priority on Growth, and a dedicated customer success manager with custom SLAs on Enterprise. Every plan starts with a free 90-day trial.
