What it does

MacroView SureFile captures email and attachments and files them into Microsoft 365 automatically. Rules evaluate each message against criteria the organization sets — sender address, recipient domain, subject pattern, and document metadata — and route it to the matching SharePoint, Teams or OneDrive destination. A single rule can write to multiple destinations where a matter or project spans more than one site.

Filing logic

Rules are explicit and deterministic. There is no machine-learning classifier and no probabilistic matching, which means every filing decision can be traced back to the rule that produced it and corrected at the rule level rather than message by message. Rules are centrally managed, so a change applies across everyone it covers rather than being reconfigured on individual desktops.

Thread handling

Tracking tags operate at thread level. Once a conversation is associated with a destination, subsequent replies and forwards inherit that decision rather than being assessed independently. Outlook categories are applied as a visual indicator of stored status, giving users in-mailbox confirmation without opening SharePoint.

Integrations

Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business. SureFile also operates alongside MacroView DMS and MacroView DMS Pro where those are deployed, filing into the same SharePoint structure.

Security and data residency

Email and attachments are written into the organization's own SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive locations. Content is not copied to a MacroView-hosted service and no third-party repository is introduced. Filed items inherit the permissions, retention labels, eDiscovery scope and compliance policies already configured in the Microsoft 365 tenant, so existing information governance applies without duplication. Authentication uses the organisation's existing Microsoft 365 identity.

SureFile is available in two editions. Desktop runs on the workstation alongside MacroView DMS with no additional cloud infrastructure. Enterprise deploys into the organisation's own Azure subscription, so filing runs as a background service and continues whether Outlook is open or the user is logged in.

Deployment and licensing

Licensed per named user and billed annually. Deployment documentation is published on the MacroView HelpCentre. Product updates and administrator support are included for the license period. A paid proof of concept is available for evaluation.
