This is my go-to PDF editor

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, It is a decent PDF editor that is supported by a trusted company. Foxit offers an affordable PDF solution with plenty of security and functionality for the average user at a decent price point. Foxit PDF Editor's limitations come to light when it comes to higher-end conversion tasks, but it is capable of handling everyday business viewing, conversion, and editing jobs in a snap, giving it serious competition to the industry-standard Adobe suite.

Pros

I consider Foxit PhantomPDF or Foxit PDF Editor to be one of my favorite applications due to its easy-to-use interface and familiarity with the ribbon menu in Microsoft Office. As a person who has used Microsoft Office for many years, it looks very much like an extension of that platform. As part of a specific agreement with Adobe, every device provided to our organization is equipped with the Adobe...

Cons

A major downside to Foxit PDF Editor is that it cannot convert files into ePubs, although for some users this might not be a big deal. However, it would be handy if we could include this popular format as a default. One of the other cons I noted was the OCR functionality. This particular module is required to enable Optical Character Recognition. However, the majority of image-heavy documents are too complex for it, and the performance of such documents is severely impacted.

A less expensive alternative with equal or better functionality

Reviewed 3 years ago

I use Foxit daily to read, edit, and create PDFs that are very interactive and are used for anything from contractual agreements to key media for communication. Overall, after using this software for 3+ years, I have had a very positive experience.

Pros

Foxit offers a comprehensive PDF editing software that is on par with the other major PDF editing software available. The ability to move and delete pages, merge/append files, and sign and protect files is superior to what Adobe offers from my experience. Plus the OCR scan and form field tool make producing very professional and interactive PDFs a breeze. Also, the prices that Foxit offers blow some of the other editing software out of the water and Foxit makes it very easy to find the best option for you, whether it's paying outright one time or paying a subscription for the latest and greatest.

Cons

Foxit is packed with a ton of features including many that I am not even sure of what they do, however commenting and annotations is not one of its strongest capabilities. I end up jumping over to Adobe Reader (free version) to make those sorts of edits. Foxit is also ever-so-slightly bloated and may be a little slow on older computers, particularly as the default PDF reader.

Great product, best bang for your buck

Reviewed 3 years ago

Phantom has allowed us to distribute the ability to edit PDFs to more team members due to its great cost structure. This is a valuable tool for our associates. Prior to windows 10 the PDF printer included with Phantom and the basic reader software were excellent tools. Have had only positive experiences with Foxit and when the very occasional issue has been encountered their support team was responsive and helped resolve the issues.

Pros

Foxit PhantomPDF has all the same features as Adobe Acrobat at a fraction of the price. It also handles problematic PDFS better than Adobe. IE it will open PDF files that Adobe will not. Easy to implement and no subscription is required.

Cons

I can't think of any cons off hand and have had no complaints from users regarding this software.

Fox it PDF

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

The software is a definite value, features of software compare to Adobe and the cost is less than half per license.

Cons

As with any PDF editing software there are just some documents that can not be edited. I would like to see a way to just highlight a specific areas on photos that were changed to a PDF from a photo.

Foxit PhantomPDF, a tool full of features that create value in the organization

Reviewed 2 years ago

A great platform that facilitates collaboration between members of the organization, increasing the performance and quality of the generated documents, as well as being able to use cloud services and providing enablers to manage comments and annotations. On the other hand, the mechanisms it offers for importing and exporting with the most popular office tools increase its level of adoption.

Pros

Foxit PhantomPDF is an extremely complete tool that allows us to work with documents in PDF format in a professional manner, as well as incorporating the option of incorporating a workflow to sign documents efficiently and easily in a corporate environment. This makes it seen as a great candidate for managing documents that have security mechanisms and generate credibility in organizations.

Cons

It is an excellent platform that manages documents effectively from its distinctive editing panel and allows us to easily update our PDF documents, on the other hand, the word processor is very versatile by allowing text to be inserted between paragraphs, columns, and pages, as well as change the design of the document so that while more third-party integrations can be incorporated into the platform, we will be able to work in a homogeneous way within our organization.

A powerful PDF editor that's also very affordable

Reviewed a year ago
Pros

A powerful PDF editor that comes with lots of useful features: redaction, OCR recognition that supports different languages, etc. Can also easily be integrated with a bunch of other cloud service platforms and digital signature programs. Very affordable with education pricing.

Cons

The font when editing the PDFs doesn't exactly blend in. E-signing is only available for the highest tier.

Professional application in dealing with pdf formats

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall, it is the most suitable application for me for dealing with, editing and reviewing pdf files

Pros

An easy and good program to use, as it is more than an integrated application in dealing with PDF files. With it, I can modify and edit PDF files with ease, and also convert any file to a PDF file through the dummy printer, as well as copy and edit the most flexible than my competition, and I can also add some name, marks, punctuation and marking. It is a good tip

Cons

Sometimes the Arabic language support is not as required and the tables I find it difficult to deal with in the application and the price is somewhat expensive in the Pro version

Same features, less money than the big name competitor

Reviewed 3 years ago

Rolling out Foxit Phantom PDF was pretty simple, I was able to import our users from Adobe to Foxit and it sent out an invite to all our users right away. Install was quick and painless. Most of our users have adapted to it real well, you will always have those few stubborn users that dont like change, but its not the programs fault. So far, great product for a fraction of the cost of the main competitor.

Pros

Easy deployment Does everything Adobe PDF products do at a lower price Interface is pretty user friendly Sales techs for the product are amazing

Cons

Adobe users take some time to get used to the layout The Tech Support has been a little questionable at times with some issues we have had, by that I just mean they have taken way too long to respond to us, but when they do resolutions are made quickly.

Decent PDF editor with industrial features at a lower price.

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

The software helps read, edit, create PDF files and other industrial standard features. Works well on multiple operating systems and on smartphones, making it easier to finish tasks or continue tasks on the go. Intuitive interface that is user-friendly with ribbon similar to Microsoft Office style. It is a light software which enables it to load faster than Adobe Acrobat.

Cons

Even if it is relatively cheaper than Adobe Acrobat, it is still a little bit priced higher.

Important software for signing PDF documents with many other critical features.

Reviewed 2 years ago

A complete solution for the PDF files. Though, Price seems higher. I have no other option rather paying the price to use the excellent service they are giving.

Pros

Signing PDF files for my work is very important, I almost need to use this features every day. Foxit PhantomPDF Offers singing documents easily. It can remember your signature, and you don't have to create the signature each time, which saves a lot of time for me. In Mobile application, this feature can be used even for free. Though, I suggest buying the desktop version for using it more flexibly and access other important features. Other important features frequently, deleting pages from a PDF, merge pages, rotating scanned pages etc.

Cons

I have the only complaint about the pricing. This can be cheaper at least by cutting the price to half. Some other competitors offer limited free services for some of these features. Which they can also consider for their future customers.

Low Cost - Extremely Effective Program with MANY Features

Reviewed 2 years ago

Absolutely love it and have recommended it to all of our outside agents.

Pros

We absolutely love the number of features that are included with this program. It is extremely user friendly and offers everything we need.

Cons

Software updates take some time and require the program to be closed. Can be bothersome during the workday, but those aren't needed often.

Expensive but good

Reviewed 2 years ago

Very positive, it did stuff Acrobat couldn't do.

Pros

Feature packed, does almost anything with PDFs. The UI is generally clear and understandable.

Cons

The price. Foxit should know that LibreOffice draw does 90% of the pdf editing you really need for free, even difficult stuff like text replacing and text flow. It's not as professional and complete as PhantomPDF, but I think its price should be lowered a bit, or offered as a multi seats license.

Less money, almost the same functionalities

Reviewed 2 years ago

Sometimes I need to modify a pdf or I need the content in word or powerpoint. It is better to start from something than from scratch. You can convert the pdf to many formats and the job is done quickly.

Pros

It may sounds badly, but the price. It is cheaper than Asobe Acrobat Pro. We all need to control our expenses. Why paying more for almost the same functionalities? I makes no sense.

Cons

I was used to Adobe Acrobat. I have used it for some many years that it is difficult to change. The look and feel is different and I have learned a new software, but I'm happy with the change

Foxit PDF Editor REVIEW

Reviewed 2 years ago

Really good experience, but could be improved if they would optimize the way to perform certain tasks with PDF documents.

Pros

It is one of the three leading solutions in the market for working with PDF documents, being the one with the lowest cost (the others are Acrobat and Nitro PDF).

Cons

Ease of use in certain tasks is not the best.

Close but no cigar

Reviewed 2 years ago

Over all it's just ok. its not better than or worse that anything else out on the market right now. Price wise it it better than grandpa adobe or uncle Nitro so if you need an editor you cant go wrong but there are others that are just a little better in my opion

Pros

Function wise it close to those that are out there already

Cons

Locating and using the tools can be tricky based on location and there willingness to work w/o freezing up
