Most EHRs weren't designed for behavioral health. They were built for primary care and adapted, and the gaps show up every day in your workflow. PIMSY has been built exclusively for mental health, substance use, and psychiatric practices since 2007, and we've processed over 11.5 million behavioral health claims along the way.

That focus shows in how the product works. Clinical documentation, scheduling, telehealth, ePrescribing, billing, and care coordination are all designed around behavioral health workflows, compliance requirements, and payer rules. Nothing is retrofitted from primary care.

Ambient Scribe

Ambient Scribe is PIMSY's AI-powered documentation tool, built natively into the EHR. It records sessions and generates structured clinical notes when you're ready, in-person or via telehealth. Every note stays in draft until you review and sign, and the entire system is 42 CFR Part 2 compliant. For clinicians spending hours on notes after hours, Ambient Scribe changes the equation.

Managed RCM

PIMSY offers a managed revenue cycle service, not just billing software. A team of certified behavioral health billing specialists handles your entire RCM inside the same system where your clinical notes live. Claim submission, denial management, follow-up, payment posting, and reporting, all managed for you. The numbers: 98.1% first-pass acceptance rate, 96% net collection rate, 26-day DSO, compared to industry averages of 85%, 79%, and 46 days. Price match guarantee available.

Clinical Tools

Every plan includes Wiley Treatment Planners for evidence-based treatment planning, integrated telehealth with HIPAA-compliant video and waiting rooms, a client portal with self-scheduling, automated SMS and email appointment reminders, and a full billing suite with real-time eligibility checks and authorization management.

For practices with prescribers, ePrescribing is integrated via DrFirst and H2H, with medication tracking and drug interaction alerts. Group therapy scheduling supports multiple facilitators in a single session, with group notes built right in. IOP and PHP programs have dedicated workflow support.

**Residential and MAT Programs**

Residential programs get eMAR with barcode scanning and audit trails, bed management, and medication inventory tracking. MAT programs are supported through integrated ePrescribing workflows. The documentation requirements for these program types are built into PIMSY's structure, not handled through workarounds.

Compliance and Certification

PIMSY is ONC-Certified, one of the few behavioral health EHRs with federal certification. HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and PHIPA/PIPEDA compliance are built into the platform architecture. For substance use programs, 42 CFR Part 2 protections govern how data is stored, accessed, and shared at the system level.
