Everything you need to know

WeTransfer is a cloud-based file transferring solution that lets users send files up to 2 GB for free, with no sign-up needed. Users can send multiple audio, video, image and documents as .zip files. The app allows file sharing via email with up to 20 people.

To send big files (up to 20 GB), users can upgrade to WeTransfer Plus. WeTransfer Plus allows for larger files to be shared (either individually or in clusters), and it can also password protect the files. With a plus account, users get access to 100GB of storage, a personalized profile, 3 backgrounds of their choice, and customizable emails.

The WeTransfer iOS app lets users store image, video, document, and audio files and organize those into visual boards of unlimited size that can be shared. Android users, on the other hand, can send up to 10 GB in image or video files.

WeTransfer is suitable for freelancers and small to mid-size businesses that need only a file transferring platform. WeTransfer's freemium version lets users transfer files for free, but to track and store files, users need to pay for a plus account. Every file is converted into the .zip format during transfer, which could restrict usability for less tech savvy users.
