Emburse overview

Emburse allows you to create plastic and virtual credit cards with built-in spending rules. Restrict spending based on budget, date, time, location, etc. You can granularly track individual spending without having to track everyone down. The cloud-based platform allows users, both employees and their employers, to see exactly how much money has been spent by recording all transactions within the app in a timely and accurate manner.

Emburse allows users to set daily, monthly and fixed project limits that cannot be exceeded by employees. The built-in expense reconciliation system captures receipts and categorizes transactions as soon as the transaction happens. Employees can add the receipt on-the-go by taking a picture using any internet-enabled mobile device. Emburse will automatically locate receipts in the user’s inbox, meaning no action is needed to reconcile the payment.

In order to create seamless workflows, Emburse integrates with major third party accounting platforms such as Xero, Quickbooks, Intact and Netsuite which makes reporting and expense reconciliation automatic. The platform also empowers accountants to split expenses into various transactions with different cost categories.

Overall experience is definitely positive. I recommend Emburse. Since issuing department specific Emburse cards, accounting has been way easier and I don't have to deal with purchase orders everyday. Setting up on Emburse was super easy. Our account was approved and cards issued within two hours. Great support team as well. The rep was especially helpful in helping me with disputes and my missing card.

We LOVE the control that Emburse gives to us with respect to spending on the cards. We love that we can set limits, restrictions and monitor the spending on our cards. We also really love the ability to have an electronic card vs. a physical card.
