Embodia overview

What is Embodia?

Embodia is a cloud-based practice management platform and EMR built for physical therapists and other allied health practitioners, including occupational therapists, chiropractors, and mental health clinicians.

Core functions include charting, scheduling, online booking, billing and invoicing, waitlist management, class scheduling, product inventory tracking, and in-depth clinic reporting. Beyond the EMR, the platform includes a home exercise program (HEP) library, one-on-one and group telerehab, outcome measures and questionnaires, secure two-way messaging, and a free mobile app for patients (iOS and Android).

Integrations: telerehab connects with Zoom and Google Meets; Canadian therapists get direct billing integrations with TELUS eClaims, HCAI, and GreenShield providerConnect; US therapists get direct billing through Office Ally integration; Clinic Academy course sales connect through Stripe for payouts. Integrations with Mailchimp, Westfax, Google calendar, twilio, and webhooks also available.

A progressive web app (PWA) option lets clinics offer patients their own custom-branded app.

Security and compliance: Embodia is HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR compliant, with secure data storage on web and mobile.

Embodia uses a tiered, per-practitioner subscription model, with a free tier and three paid membership tiers starting at $15/month. Tier 3 (Practice Management) includes two AI-powered tools: AI Charting, which records and transcribes patient consults to generate a draft chart entry for review (10 hours free usage, one-time, then $0.01/minute), and AI DocBuilder (currently in beta), which converts existing PDF forms into fillable questionnaires or chart items (first 50 pages free, then $0.10/page). All usage-based costs are disclosed at the point of use, so there are no hidden fees.

Clinic discounts apply based on full-time practitioner count, from 10% at 3-5 practitioners up to 30% at 51+. Part-time pricing is available on Tier 3 at $20/month per practitioner.
