Time, time, time!! This system saves me a lot of time. I am old school , i have been a nurse for 23 years so i have always used paper and pen. The closest i had ever come to using anything techy was IV pumps and CBG machines. With that said this system is quite user friendly even for a person like myself .
I appreciate the flow of information once i log in. Everything i need to do makes absolute sense to me. When looking for information i am typically with a family or a patient and love that things are labeled for what they are. Information is not under some obscure tab, which allows me to find the information i am be looking for quickly and with ease. I am extremely comfortable with this operating system despite not having a great understanding of anything related to computers. Thank you kindly

Overall, I feel that hospice tools has been extremely user-friendly and easy to onboard new staff to use proficiently. As I previously mentioned, I am new to using hospice tools and have never encountered a user question thus far, as I feel that each task is intuitive and self explanatory.
I am relatively new to using Hospice Tools (~3 months) and had a pretty seamless transition into it. I have a history with using Epic, which was quite involved, but I became an expert after some time. Hospice Tools is much more user-friendly from the start and very intuitive. Each role (cna, nurse, chaplain, APN, etc) has different documents they need to fill out and the set up of hospice tools makes...
My biggest gripe with hospice tools is that is does not connect with other healthcare systems. I also dislike some of the formatting on different forms (ie: some boxes for narrative responses are too small to read the entire response). Additionally, I would like a "search" feature within each patient's chart to be able to identify previously discussed topics. For example, if I wanted to know if my patient has ever complained of nausea at past visits, it would be more cohesive to type "nausea" into a search box in their chart and be able to see all instances where "nausea" was mentioned. Instead of this, I have to open each individual note and read through the note to identify if that issue had ever been mentioned.

The speed and ease of access to see patient information
IDG updates are hard to track, as the clinicians are not able to enter their own information on the patients
Thanks for the feedback Danielle! We found that the single author for IDG narratives and then easy dashboard signing saves a lot of time in running IDG. However, we understand that different agencies have their own preferences and workflows and are updating to allow for group authoring as well. We'll let you know when that gets released and that should solve the problem,. Thx!

Overall experience is positive. Easy to use on computer and phone.
I began using HospiceTools 6 months ago when I started a new job. It's user-friendly, intuitive, and not complicated. The design is clear, patient's charts are easy to navigate. I like the Sticky Notes section so that team members can leave notes for each other that isn't part of the official medical chart. I like that Hospice Tools/eDocs/Time Keeper allows me to easy calculate my mileage to/from patient visits. It's helpful that I can click on a patient's address and it automatically opens the Maps app in my phone and I can be off in a jiffy!
I have had trouble uploading pictures to a patient's chart (e.g. a photo of a patient's advanced directive) and usually have to sent to medical records team for them to upload it themselves. It would be helpful if Hospice Tools accepting multiple formats for upload.

Easy to use overall. Best part is being able to look up all the same information on the go through the app as well as one the computer. One of the best features is the ability to search a phone number in hospice tools when I've missed a phone call from a patient or family member.
Working in the hospice industry for over 10 years my experience has taught me to focus on patient and family needs. Hospice tools allows for a user friendly experience where i can quickly meet the needs of my clients. Having the option to work on hospice tools just as easily as on the app is what I enjoy the most.
Only con that comes to my mind, is sometime I forget my password. Otherwise, that's it.

I have had an overall wonderful experience with Hospice Tools!!
I love how customizable the system is. The customer service is excellent and if I have any issues or need something changed, the tech team is quick to respond and figure out a way to fix the system the way I ask and still follow the rules and regulations of Medicare.
It is easy to duplicate patient accounts and facility profiles and they can't be deleted easily.
Thanks for the awesome feedback Brandon! Our security best practices prevent us from making it too easy to delete a patient or facility from the system. Those are issues we want to err on the side of caution. But I think there may be other ways to help deal with that issue. We'll discuss internally and see what we can come up with. Thx!

The team at Hospice Tools is so helpful. They are always readily available for support. Anytime we have identified something we needed to change or "tweak" with in the system, they have done their best to ensure it happens. They care that the customer is happy and satisfied. When encountering any problem or concern, they promptly worked with us to understand the inner workings of our agency to ensure the solution would rectify the obstacle we had identified.
It is extremely user friendly. It significantly cuts down on documentation time. Its a system specific to hospice and customizable to each agency's needs.
We plan on customizing the care planning section in the future.

Overall hospice tools is a great system, especially compared to previous systems used at previous jobs.
The functions are very clear and well organized! It is easy to finding and organize information.
I do wish the bereavement risk assessments auto populated the addresses/phone numbers. Also wish we could add Care Plans and they would save for later use. But this is a small edit. Overall it is a good system.

Excellent. Very happy with this EMR.
The care plans, progress notes, and visits notes are simple and easy to use, yet still prompt users to include all necessary information.
The software could prompt users more to eliminate the risk of overlooked task such as visit frequencies and care plan update. It would also be helpful if the software notified users when they are assigned a new patient.

This EMR system has significantly cut the amount of time that staff are documenting.
I liked that the forms were customizable to our specific needs. The Hospice Tools team worked hard to get our forms exactly the way we wanted them.
I would like to see the care plan section revised so its easier to update and document that the plan was revised or met and discontinued.

I think that there are a lot of different options for needs with the software in the case of I'm always able to find what I'm looking for. Also they have great security measures to protect your account as well as customer service.
I wish that there was an automatic save on the software because sometimes there is a wifi or network issue and then everything will have to be re written. I know you can save and close but in the middle of a report I don't always remember to do that.
Thanks for the nice review Sydney. We have instituted an auto save feature when you click 'Next' on a form and by default every 30 seconds. Although there is still a chance you may lose a few fields if you close within the 30 sec window and don't click save, we hope this helps. :-) Thx!

Concise and ensures CMS compliance with proper input.
Not always gathers the right information for collating data such as parameters for filling out recertification documentation.

Overall it is a very user friendly tool.
The ease of charting and the fax from the app feature has made my life so much easier. Also the MD being able to sign documents and scripts immediately is an amazing feature

I have used Hospice Tools for 6+ months and have not had any issues.
Very intuitive and easy to use; the training on it was very minimal (10 minutes).
I just use one feature - charting of my hospice visits. It is very streamlined and I really do not have know of anything that I do not like.

What I like most about Hopsice Tools is that it integrates, ebilling, edoc, and timekeeper all in one place. I also like all the inclusive reports that it can generate.
