I'm extremely happy with my choice for payroll. The cost was about the lowest I saw for our organization but it provides options and features that much more expensive software didn't have.

We are trying to navigate the remote working situation as many business are I imagine.  It is a grey area which state to tax employees in as the company is based in California and some of our workers decided to reside in other states.   One employee decided to stay in New York, so we decided to amend his returns to reflect his NYC residence, seemed like the right thing to do.  Surepayroll charged a large fee for this amendment.  I then received a $27,000 fine from New York for not having workers comp insurance.  Now the NY website says teachers don't need workers comp, which makes sense as our tutors teach on their computer in the bedroom and have no chance of injury.  However as an out of state business it turns out they require it for all employees.  Surepayroll gave NO guidance on compliance whatsoever.  Once I received the fine they did NOTHING to help me resolve it, other than send an insurance salesperson my way.  All decent payroll firms help with compliance, switch to Gusto they force you to be in compliance before you set up an account.  This fine is forcing us to close our doors in New York.  The entire reason I pay a payroll service is to help navigate situations like this.   Using this service is probably the worst business decision I've ever made.  I now owe $27,000 to NY which I absolutely don't have and don't expect to have anytime soon.  This has been devastating.  Surepayroll made it clear that they could care less about resolving the issue.

Surepayroll has amazing customer support. You don't have a dedicated specialist, but no matter who you get it's great.
In over 5 years I have used Surepayroll I have never had an issue with my federal or state filings. Payroll is easy to run and check for errors. After previous experience with Quickbooks and recently with Paycor, Surepayroll is definitely the superior product  as far as running payrolls  and staying compliant with the IRS goes.

Overall I would say that I am very satisfied with my experience with the service SurePayroll provides. The monthly fee is a little high for a very small business.  I would suggest they drop the rates a little for business with under 3-5 employees.

SurePayroll is a no brainer for all business sizes

                                                       Hi. Prior to using SurePayroll I was doing all of the accounting myself, and that became a problem for me because eventually my business started to grow and I didn't actually have time to do that. So checked out payroll, found SurePayroll, we're a match made in heaven.
                                                       Why I decided to go with SurePayroll? Their pricing. Their pricing is exactly what I need for my company of my size. SurePayroll, they have what you need. I would suggest using them. Five out of five for me.
                                                       Getting started with SurePayroll was really, really easy. Sign up, talk to customer service. Once they've got you officially set up, you run your first payroll from your computer and then you're able to use the app to run it from anywhere. And it is quite easy. Literally three steps, one, two, three. SurePayroll, the easiest I've seen out there.
                                                       When deciding on whether or not you should get SurePayroll, think about exactly what your payroll needs are, think about the size of your company, how many employees you will be paying exactly, of course. But again, for a company of a certain size, I would go with SurePayroll. Again, easiest you'll find out there, really is.

Steve S.:                                              My name is Steve. I'm an agency owner of an insurance agency. And of course, the industry that we are in is the insurance industry. And we use SurePayroll and I give them a four out of five rating.
                                                       We switched from Paychex as our provider for payroll processing and we switched over due to the cost savings. And the site was as well more user-friendly with the current company that we are with. We found Paychex to be a little bit convoluted and a little bit difficult actually to use.
                                                       The main reason that we switched to SurePayroll is due to the cost savings. It saved my agency a substantial amount of processing fees. So I was able to save money for my business. And that is the main reason that we switched to SurePayroll.
                                                       It was easy enough to switch over and to get onboarded with the SurePayroll system. Like any other new system, we had to learn it and it had its issues and I probably had to make a couple of phone calls to have people kind of help walk me through it. But once we were able to get through it, it wasn't too bad. And again, it was actually a more user-friendly system than my previous company payroll processor.
                                                       I would definitely recommend SurePayroll as a payroll processing company. Again, I found their system user-friendly to use. They have good support. You can call or a chat in, and they've got good support with their portal. And again, the savings, I would recommend it to anybody. I don't really know how it might work for a large company with a lot of employees, but for a smaller company like myself with just a few employees, our cost savings over our previous provider was well worth it. And I would recommend that to anyone.
