Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Workzoom overview
What is Workzoom?
Workzoom is a single-record HRIS that runs HR, workforce management, payroll and talent from one database. It is built for organizations with 50 to 5,000 employees that currently maintain three to five separate systems for people management.
The architecture is the distinguishing characteristic. One employee record and one database sit behind every module, so a schedule change updates timekeeping, timekeeping updates payroll, and payroll updates the general ledger without a file transfer, a sync job or a nightly batch. There is no integration layer to configure or monitor and no reconciliation step between modules, because the data is never duplicated in the first place.
Four suites are licensed separately and share the same record. The HR suite covers personnel records, organization and position management, recruiting with automated job posting and resume parsing, digital onboarding with document collection and background checks, engagement surveys and compensation. The workforce suite covers shift scheduling with labor budget controls, clocking by facial recognition, biometric, mobile, GPS and web, timekeeping with automated overtime and holiday rules, and time off with accruals and approvals. The payroll suite covers multi-jurisdiction and multi-currency pay processing, automated statutory deductions, concurrent pay frequencies, three-stage validation before disbursement, EFT and pay stubs, benefits enrollment with life events, and expense capture with reimbursement. The talent suite covers goal alignment, performance reviews and 360 degree feedback, training delivery with certification and compliance tracking, career path mapping with skills inventory, and succession readiness assessment.
Payroll runs with full local statutory compliance in Canada, covering federal and provincial tax, CPP and EI; in the United States, covering federal and state tax; and in the Bahamas, where NIB contributions are calculated natively rather than routed through a third party. Jamaica NIS, NHT and Education Tax and Trinidad and Tobago NIS are supported. HR, workforce and talent are live across 10 countries: Canada, the United States, the Bahamas, the United Kingdom, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados, Antigua and Barbuda, Anguilla and the Cayman Islands.
Documented outcomes include Cable Bahamas reducing payroll from five days to 1.5 days, a 70 percent reduction, with three payroll staff covering 850 employees; Northern Sunrise County processing payroll 40 percent faster and completing its first live run under three months from project start; Island Luck automating eight payroll cycles each week across more than 60 gaming locations with facial recognition clocks at every site; County of Renfrew onboarding 32 new hires in three months on existing headcount; and Mid-Wilshire HCC moving from manual, non-compliant payroll to full California tax automation within one month.
The platform is SOC 2 certified and GDPR compliant, hosted on enterprise-grade AWS infrastructure, with role-based access control, full audit trails on record changes, and encryption at rest and in transit. Access is through a web dashboard and native iOS and Android applications supporting employee self-service and manager approvals. Reporting is real-time and configurable rather than scheduled extracts. The interface is available in English, French and Spanish.
Implementation typically completes in one to three months. Parallel pay runs validate accuracy against the incumbent system before cutover, and month-by-month terms are available. Pricing is published per employee per month by suite at workzoom.com, with non-profit, annual billing and volume discounts.
Workzoom is deployed across municipal government, indigenous organizations, healthcare and senior care, gaming and hospitality, airports, construction, automotive dealer groups and non-profits. It suits environments with shift work, concurrent pay frequencies, union rules or multi-jurisdiction compliance.
