What is Microsoft Exchange?

The enhanced search capabilities deliver faster, more complete results so users can quickly find what they need. The add-ins allow for extensive customizations to fit specific business needs.

In summary, Microsoft Exchange is an intelligent email and scheduling service tailored for business users. It boosts productivity through collaboration tools, an adaptive focused inbox, robust search, custom add-ins, and smart calendaring. Integration rating: 5.0 (2)

It is important since it helps us to have our mailboxes and active directory users both locally and in the azure cloud, this helps us to have greater security and user support and to be able to integrate with office 365 for collaborators who require it.

Pros
The most obvious advantage of using Microsoft Exchange is that it is a reliable platform. It is the most commonly used email server in the world because it is reliable, secure, and easy to use.
The software has a good capability and offers secure communication and synchronization for calendar.
Great for having hosted email solutions , Easy to create mailboxes and the functionality helps to manage the infrastucture well.
Cons
Mailboxes are a single point of failure and are often the source of email problems. This can lead to users experiencing delayed email, lost emails, and other email-related problems.
Its not 365 - 365 has moved on so far now from where it was - no onsite hardware, no running out of disk space.
If you have questions or problems with this software, it is very hard to reach any form of customer service.
