This is not a tool you should implement when you have a small team. Instead use the software when you have a bigger team and can invest in time and money to make the tool work for you. If your company is big enough and you can allocate the rescourses then Marketo is really a powerfull tool.
What I like most about this software is that it provides an overview of a contact and that you can make many differrent workflows. Out-of-the-box you have lots of tools and controlls at your disposal
The software is not very easy to use, you need to setup lots of things. You must not underestimate the time, energy and money you need for the tool to work. When compairing to Mailchimp they have lots of stuf ready to use, with Marketo you need to setup this on your own. This gives flexibility and power to the user, but its also time consuming.

It's a powerful tool with a lot of marketing capabilities if used properly. It can give great info. There's ways to manipulate the system to get give people insights. There's a huge community of people who can help. It's a popular item. They have roadshows and webinars. They are the industry leader. It provides a lot of functionality that its competitors don't have. I use Mailchimp and it doesn't have half the capabilities of Marketo.
It's mostly for companys with large lists of customers and databases. It doesn't always make sense how to do things, as it's not easy. Unless you have a consultant or take classes, it can be diffcult to learn. The community can be hard to navigate, and I think it takes too long to wait for responses/

I had a negative experience working daily in Marketo for 6 months. I'm sure it's useful for some companies, but the average business can't possibly make it work for them.
Marketo has a huge amount of features, like very specific reporting, integration with various platforms, robust list building, and more. I managed a very large volume of interconnected campaigns on Marketo, and it was pretty effective at doing whatever we needed to, once we figured it out.
There is a higher learning curve with Marketo than any other of the many email marketing platforms I've used in my experience. Clients were never, ever able to handle it on their own. It sucked up a lot of my time, which would not be the case for a platform like MailChimp. Marketo has more capabilities, but it's not practical for the average business to manage. There are many, many things it cannot do that are pretty standard on other platforms: adding emojis to emails, not crashing constantly, effective merge fields, having flexible templates, communicating what errors are when something doesn't work, etc. It caused much, much more trouble than it was worth. I don't even have confidence that the data we pulled from it was accurate either.

It got the job done when I worked for a startup company only send out a few email blasts.
It's easy to figure out how to do everything.
It's not a very powerful marketing automation tool, like a Marketo.

It is a great way to send out emails to a wide variety of people. Its streamlined approach makes sense, for the most part.
Compared to tools like Marketo or Silverpop, it can come across as a little too basic; some things are MIA>

I use mailchimp to send automatic newsletter when a new content is published on my blog (it is based on an RSS feed). People subscribed to the weekly newsletter are automatically inserted in the campaign. It is really easy to use and customize. I customized registration form, email templates and messages very quickly.
I don’t use Mailchimp for other activities so I don’t have a broader view. I use Marketo as Marketing tool but I was not able with Marketo to send automatic emails based on an RSS. This is a very good feature of Mailchimp. From my experience I don’t have negative points.

I love how easy it is to make pretty emails using drag and drop features. You don't need to be a developer or know HTML to be able to use this tool.
I wish there were more automation tool and behavioral triggers, such as Marketo or Eloqua does, but Mailchimp is meant for simpler solutions.

Easy to use and super user friendly, organized and gives access to multiple users
I think its #one tool for email marketing if you have a small company or just starting your business.
Don't expect a complicated and more advanced tool like Pardot or Marketo, its really simple tool to start with managing emails and building small list and track email performance.

Mailchimp is a great starter tool for new businesses. It has really helped me to engage and grow my email list.
I love that I can grow my business with Mailchimp. There are lots of features to engage your audience. I am learning how to use more of their features like creating landing pages, etc. to get people to engage.
There are some features that I am having trouble navigating. And I would like to have some type of live customer support as I try to manage these features.

Overall mailchimp deliver values to our business and help us to engage the user.
Best part about mailchimp is it's seamless integration with WordPress and provide pre-define email marketing structure, it also gives us the complete analysis of our campaign and helping us to improve CTR by doing A/B testing on segments wise.
As such, i do not have any experience in which i least like the service of mailchimp.

MailChimp is great because it helps you to easily and effectively connect with your client base and to create useful newsletters with great graphics

We've used MailChimp to re-engage many customers and win a lot of purchases and subscriptions to various digital products.
MailChimp handles all of the technical details (deliverability, whitelisted IP addresses, etc.) behind the scenes and makes it simple to compose and send email marketing campaigns to customers and prospects.
MailChimp charges based on your list size, so you better use it often or trim your list of non-viable prospects if you want to continue to get a good value.

Its super easy to create emails that I can schedule in advance. I use mailchimp to engage my personal training clients weekly.
There's not much to dislike about MailChimp, they have everything to help grow your email list. You do however need some sort of design skills for really nice looking emails.

Mailchimp is great at what it does and I would highly recommend for anyone who wants to make an email campaign
Mailchimp offers a lot of tools for you to create campaigns, reach and engage your audience in the best way possible.
The software interface is constantly changing itself, it's good to keep it up to date but sometimes is a little of a hassle to learn how to find the functions you were using a week ago.

Overall, mailchimp has enabled me to easily engage with leads and convert them into clients. It has been immensely helpful.
One thing I like a lot about this platform is that I can see if a template that I can then reuse and tweak as needed. It saves me a ton of time overall.
I wish there were more fonts to choose from for emails as well as font colors. Sometimes editing the text can prove tedious.

With mailchimp, I can easily sent promotions to high number of clients with one click. Best to engage connections to our products.
The possibility to comunicate with clients in mass, is very well achieved with MailChimp. Simple to use.

With MailChimp, we've been able to engage and re-engage past and current customers to increase our salon business. We can upload simply formatted spreadsheets with names and email destinations. We couple that with a fresh, catchy looking email and blast it out. We're able to review click rates and adjust our emails accordingly.
The lack of a workflow editor when it comes to automating emails at a much more advanced level makes it tough to do what we want sometimes. The cost can get high if you start to require more outgoing emails or subscribers.

Overall it's made marketing e-mails easy. The website is easy to use and my clients respond well and engage with emails.
Mailchimp has been mostly great for e-mail software and marketing that I send out to clientele and prospects. It is mostly reliable and the website is easy to use.
There was a time where I had a scheduled e-mail set up to go out and it didn't launch at the correct time. The Customer Support team was helpful and this has only happened one time - a glitch in the system.

Very beautifully designed and generally simple. Setup campaigns in no time and there are great templates to work with
Could use some work really thinking through how users engage with the platform. Lots of repetitive steps and bundling of groups/tasks that can become a headache as you scale up campaigns

I mean MailChimp is the amazon of trying to get news letters to your customers. I also do receive newsletters and blogs from other companies as well. They use MailChimp as well. It is the simplicity of it but yet a powerful tool. Really amazing.

We are able to connect with our customers and clients in a timely manner. We also are able to "schedule" ahead of time so that it can be semi-automated.
We are able to manage mail outs with to our customers and engage them without need of the complications of maintaining a mail server.
They offer a variety of pre-made templates. When they upgraded, I had to migrate to different templates when my old ones were no longer offered.

We needed a way to engage with customers outside of social media, and Mailchimp is one of the most effective ways we can do that.
I like how many integrations there are. Mailchimp integrates with a lot of websites and tools, such as Gleam.io and Wordpress
It can be a little daunting to new users who don't understand that building a mailing list takes time. Formatting mass emails can be confusing for new users, but a quick Google search will help anyone!

This software is very helpful to engage more visitors to my website and I can communicate one email to all the contact at a time.
I am using Mailchimp for around 6 months and good software, I am using it for my weekly or monthly newsletter and sending bulk emails, fast and easy.
This software allows only 2k emails per day in the free version and does not give the live chat for the free version, we recommended giving live chat for the free and paid version

My colleagues and I tend to always recommend using Mailchimp because it's very generous, a respected industry-standard for beginners and offers a handful of selections to customize a mailing list so that it's the appearance it tailored for a suitable demographic. You definitely won't go wrong trying your hand with this online software.
It took no time for me to understand how to develop a mailing list, so that we may better engage with our target audience and potential consumers.
The learning curve may take a bit of patience, however, it was well worth it once the user understands the layout and how the software functions through its many advantageous choices.
