The ability to export hours reported by volunteers and having our volunteer data compiled in one (digital) place.
The email blast feature does not allow for a lot of creative liberty, so we have to supplement with using Constant Contact. The available "Filters" for "Opportunities" are not helpful.

I have so many questions and help is not easy to get.
Everything for a volunteer is all in one place.
It is confusing and you have to know so much to use it effectively. I do not use it enough to feel comfortable with all I need to do inside the program.

I love the back end team - everyone is kind and understanding with a good sense of humor and hope
I like the ease of the features and how thorough the resources are in terms of accessibility and understanding for myself, agency managers, and volunteers on the site.
I think the way certain things are implemented - like the email notifications - are a little cumbersome and limiting because it can overwhelm the use and there's no way to only opt-out of certain communications.

Get Connected has been able to have a large hand in growing my volunteer base, everyone has a cell phone and likes using apps. Using a laptop or computer is not always the easiest method for people, having an app means consumers have it available at all times.
Get Connected makes it as easy as a finger click away for my volunteers to get connected, get involved, and spread the word.
I would like to see Galaxy Digital Qualifications to be able to be seen on the volunteer's side as well as on the administrator's side on the app like it does on the web browser. It would be nice if the app also sent out alerts for example if i post an Opportunity on Galaxy Digital it does alert their email but alerting them in the app of activity would be even better since many don't check their email often.

Great customer service. Great product with an affordable price.
Our volunteers like that they can see it all and search through volunteer roles without having to log in with a profile. Once they see the value and are excited to volunteer, then they make an account. You can share direct links to volunteer roles and then share in emails and on social media. Roles that you want to first advertise to your experienced volunteers can be made "private" with you sharing the link with them directly. Then once they have selected their spots, open the opportunity to all by making it "public". There are so many ways to customize the roles you post (with shift times, with different amounts of volunteer slots) that it is easy to post roles.
If it could have been integrated to be part of a single sign on that would help our users.

Galaxy Digital's Get Connected software is easy to set up and customize to your needs. Their customer service team walks you through onboarding at your pace - mine was lighting fast! I can now see my events and volunteers for each of them at a glance. If someone drops out I can easily send a note to interested volunteers and can get replaced quickly. Has cut down my event management time by 80%
The only thing I would change if I could is the volunteer value per hour. For us it varies by each event and the software lets you assign a value - but it's across all hours regardless of event.

It was amazing! I couldn't have asked for a more experienced and genuine team! I cannot wait to see the imapct this makes over the next year or two alone!
The ability to customize everything and figure out a way to get things done.
You have to learn it all so you could do it yourself. Sometimes it would have been nice to say, "Hey can you help me with this part." rather than try it do it wrong, or get help, and have to redo it or fix it.

The most impactful part of this software is allowing nonprofits from all over the county to house their volunteer opportunities under one umbrella to be easily found and promoted
There should be more features available to agency partners, instead of just site managers. The surface-level features for agencies has turned many organizations away from joining our platform

We love how easy this software is to use - for our organization and for our volunteers. Ease of navigation is huge when you are working with a population that includes people who may not be particularly tech savvy.
I wish that the ReDi disaster response module were available for free. Of course. :) We are a small, but mighty nonprofit, looking to manage our disaster response efforts through Get Connected. At this time, we are unable to afford it. But! The team at Galaxy Digital and the Get Connected support staff worked with us to find a solution that works for us within the Get Connected platform.

We have been able to successfully navigate difficult times with a pandemic thanks to GC. It's a fantastic product, and I would highly recommend.
GC is amazing for dynamic institutions. Rapidly having the ability to update volunteer opportunities, track volunteer hours, contact folks, send out e-blasts and communications really makes all the difference! Also their support team is AMAZING. Highly responsive and kind, I had never worked with such a wonderful group of support folks before.
There is a substantial learning curve to it. Sometimes, you have to really be familiar with the way things are set up in order to get the information and data you're looking for.

I was not a fan. It was not user friendly.
I did like that I could design it the way I wanted it to look.
It was hard to us. I didn't understand how to set it up to record the hours of volunteers. I didn't like that I couldn't call them. I wouldn't email and wouldn't get a response for days to a week. I was always talking to someone new, so there was no relationship built.

Easy to post needs and track volunteer sign-ups. Keeps track of volunteer hours for easy reporting.
Volunteers must submit their hours for each volunteer activity. Not very user friendly way for volunteers to check in.

Whenever I run into a snag, customer service is friendly and prompt and takes care of my issue immediately.
Maneuverability is an issue. It could be a bit more straight forward in some of the more complicated features, or provide detailed instructions.

The ability to educate and inform our community about the specific volunteer needs of local agencies, while providing those agencies with tangible support and a framework for managing their volunteer programs.
Get Connected is perfect for our needs. Agencies have autonomy over managing their individual pages, and users have control over the level of communication they receive. There is a robust help platform, and numerous features we haven't even had time to explore yet.
Nothing - the software is easy to use, has wonderful features, and the company is constantly making improvements. As an administrator, I found the communication filters a little confusing initially, but found all the support I needed in the help center.

We focus on volunteering at United Way.
I like how all volunteer opportunities are in one spot, it makes it easier for me and the potential people to use the site.
I wish we were able to delete certain information ourselves. I needed to ask someone to delete the fake company made in the walkthrough. I wish there was a way to do that myself in case I accidentally approve something I didn't need too.

The software is user friendly, looks amazing on any device, and is incredibly versatile whether you are a macro level organization coordinating your catchment area's volunteer center, a single nonprofit looking to ramp up their volunteer engagement, or an individual searching for volunteer opportunities. Additionally, the support team is one of the best I've ever worked with. Huge props to the crew at Galaxy Digital for working with us whenever we need assistance or help brainstorming!
There's really nothing to complain about in terms of the software - we made a giant leap forward when we decided to move to Get Connected/Galaxy Digital and couldn't be happier!

This software is very user-friendly. It was easy to set up and collaborate with partners to get on board with creating accounts and sharing volunteer opportunities. I also liked how customizable the software is and the ability it has to fit our needs.
I will occasionally hear from some volunteers that they find it a little time consuming to sign up and create an account. We also communicate with all volunteers who have a hard time navigating the system to connect with the help forum or to reach out to us with any issues. Galaxy Digital also repsonds prompetly and fixes any issues we may stuble upon.

Our volunteer center could not do the work we do as easily and efficiently as we can when using the Advanced Events module. Being connected to a United Way, we run several large citywide Days of Caring each year. The Advanced Events module allows us to attach our 30-40 projects to an overarching event. Both our nonprofit partners as well as our volunteers have shared how easy it is to post their opportunities and register team members. In the past we "held" spots for corporate volunteers that many times did not get filled and left the partner organizations with unfulfilled needs. With the ease of the team functionality, that no longer happens. United Way works with hundreds of companies in our community. We believe everyone can be a philanthropist, it doesn't matter where you live or how much you make. It's the act of giving that binds us together. In addition to reporting what a company gives financially and the impact of their donations, we're able to use the Advanced Event module to track all volunteer engagement for the year. A number when converted to dollars back to our community (love that on the individual profile pages!) sometimes exceeds a financial gift. The only functionality that would make that even better would be to have the ability to hide or reserve by password a project for a certain department within a company's Advanced Event. (ex- project posted for only executives or for a certain geographic location)

easy to post events easy to access information sometimes when we call - it is difficult to just talk to who we want to - it seems we have to make appointments though someone else all the time campus portal is more cumbersome on the backside than it needs to be wish the campus portal connected to all site so information could be shared when the students leave our area

The major pro is that it's easy to contact a person about technical problems or issues I've had. One of the cons I've found is that it's not always user friendly for our agency managers. They have trouble understanding the website.

Although not intuitive in use, the software is fairly easy to learn and use. The task of encouraging other agencies that we support to utilize the software has been somewhat challenging. Turnover of agency staff is a large component of this issue as the task of marketing the benefits and training in the usage of the software seems to be an ongoing effort as staff changes occur. Customer service from Galaxy is top notch. My questions/concerns have been responded to quickly and pleasantly. Comparability with donation-related software would make Get Connected a super effective software.

This software provides a clean and beautiful user interface for volunteers looking for opportunities on our database. The customer service team is incredibly responsive in helping with any issues as soon as they arise, and issues are few and far between. We have begun posting most opportunities within the Advanced Events and/or the Disaster Response Module, and as we are learning more about the capabilities of these modules, it has been incredibly beneficial to more specifically track volunteer activity and provide detailed opportunities in the event of an emergency.

I would say the biggest pro is the customer service. As a fairly new administrator I am always eager to learn and master a platform that I will be utilizing but also be promoting use in the community. I have participated in many of the webinars and training sessions and when I have a question or a possible enhancement idea the GC staff is always great to work with! The only con I can think of is if you have a part of the platform that I would like to see changes to or an enhancement for easier use, there are times when the changes can't be made because the platform is generalized for multiple users in multiple organizations.

Our new VolunteerWNY through GC has positively transformed our landscape. This is a very easy system to utilize and has almost tripled the impact we're able to create in our community. I absolutely enjoy working with the software. The feedback from our volunteers and partners are always positive. There are some features that aren't as user-friendly per some of our volunteers and partners. I would argue that this reflects the digital divide among users (generational). In addition, there are various improvements that could be implemented in the AEM to make tasks/functionality easier for users/partners/admin. I would be happy to share those thoughts and ideas with GC. I understand that some of these ideas might only apply to our current environment and projects being management.
