What is openSourceCM?

openSourceCM is a web-based contract management platform with tools for uploading contract files, processing and indexing documents, managing contract-related tasks, reporting, searching documents, comparing contract versions and tracking changes, approvals, managing virtual data rooms, and more.

Key benefits of using openSourceCM

Users can search the contract database in 190 languages, including document content and metadata.

Full audit trail automatically logs all activity at user and document level and can be filtered by user, action type, specific actions, and more.

Upload support for multiple document types, including Word, PDF, Excel, and scanned documents, with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and document structure analysis (DSR) to create HTML documents which allow for the cross-comparison of documents regardless of their original file type.

Document comparison allows users to see changes by section in a side-by-side comparison, with differences highlighted paragraph-by-paragraph, in full text.

Role-based and user-based approvals can be set, with options for dual parallel or serial approval processes, and notes added to rejections and approvals.

Document structure analysis parses contracts into sections and clauses, and hyperlinks to referenced documents are automatically included, with a report generated of all documents referred to that are not present in the system.

Users can search file names, folders, document content, and document metadata, with full-text keyword and phrase searches available for all file types.

Pros

Ease of use and live support. The fact that we were able to customize the system to work with our accounting system to create purchase orders was a great bonus!

Cons

What I like least about this software is that while some parts may be customized by the customer, not all of the software may be. Such as: the dashboard for a user (not an administrator) has too much information that they do not need and causes confusion for many of my users. Also, the information that they need specific to themselves/department should be only what is available - not everything from the system.

Non-profit win for contract management

Overall, the experience has been superior compared to other software that’s been used in the past. You cannot only draft and create you can update and revise as well as document track and see the whole lifecycle from when it started to when it ended for your contracts. Would recommend to any medium to large scale business.

Pros

I liked the very seamless process in creating contract and the easily a datable process when you needing to alter or revise for new companies with some thing you already have. I would definitely say that the status tracking is a must no need to pick up the phone or send an email just open the program and you can view exactly what the status is or where you’re at. With most nonprofits there’s multiple businesses in moving parts within each contract, and with as much as this program has to offer you can’t find something that doesn’t work for what you need.

Cons

There’s not really too much about the program there is a con, but if I were to pick some thing, it would be the color scheme. I prefer a vivid look but that’s probably just me.

Is good software.

Pros

Opensource CM is good software for big companies. It has good search system. Provides to get fast any dates. Reports can be imported in many formats. For. Ex. In pdf.

Cons

To many information on front page. We used just trial vercion and coudn't get to used to it. Don't know why, but my company decided to contact other vendor.

Excellent contract management for healthcare facility

It's been great.

Pros

We struggled to organize all our third-party contracts in a central digital location. In addition, the lifecycle of the contract and the review were cumbersome until we implemented OpensourceCM. Great software that is continually being improved. It is even better than when we implemented it 5 years ago.

Cons

The ability to create custom calendar alerts and a dedicated dashboard to see an overview of what contracts are active or expired.

Pros

The customer service from your organization to fix issues we had from that upgrade was very good. The customer service your organization provides is top notch.

Cons

The transition when the upgrade happened was very painful. It took too long and the result was not satisfactory.
