Instagantt is an online application designed to help teams create and manage projects using Gantt charts. The platform is available for existing Asana users or as a standalone platform. Users have the ability to collaborate and share charts with internal and external stakeholders.

Sometimes so slow that it's hard to load at all. This is apparently to do with Instagantt reading subtasks in subtasks (in subtasks), but it's such a problem that we nearly had to stop using it.

I have often recommended this software to people working in the social impact sector, even it's free version is SUPERB.

Asana and Instagantt integration is great and works well. I like best the baseline tracking / snapshots that can be custom branded and private links can be sent to customers.

Seems to be the only product of its kind which has this ease of use and not too much complexity for single person use. It is good for research project planning and keeping on top of daily goals.

There are all the basics someone would like in a Gantt, and the UI is nice. The workload view is really nice.

Export feature of timeline view is brilliant (great for stakeholder engagement).

This is a very intuitive product that makes using a gantt chart very easy. Love the features and customer service is exceptional.

Many functions don't work and help desk is non-existent after several emails, messages finally after several days got one response saying they know they have a problem with the up load function.

My experience with Instagantt has mostly been good. There was an initial learning curve, but improvements to the user experience and interface have been made through the years. 

Best Gantt Tool Used So Far

(see bits in my previous entry) - Overall good.
Where I regularly become a bit stuck was when generating a snapshop view and link appeared in my browser, I couldn't instantly know the difference and had to be careful when copying and pasting the snapshot link into my reports, that I was not copying across the working file. The ONLY visible difference is the little cog icon next to the project name. This I only clicked to look for later. I would want to suggest perhaps a subtle background color change at the very top panel when seeing a snapshot.

Overall, the experience has been great. It's much easier to use for small projects that alternatives like Microsoft Project and P6. It is a good balance between complexity and ease of use and works perfectly for managing internal projects.

Love the Gantt Chart Feature

Already an awesome product / critic on high level

We are really pleased with how Instagannt allows us to create quick gannt charts for our projects and allows us to brand and present these to clients in a very professional manner. Compared to other comparable tools out there is looks nice and the strong integration with live task management is what makes it a winner.

Instagannt and Asana are a perfect match

Our small business has been searching for a simple Gantt chart software to help us organize our projects. We need a big-picture view of our overall timeline for the year to assess our workload at any given time, and also the ability to open a detailed view of certain tasks when needed. We wanted to be able to color-code the chart for quick comprehension, and didn't want to get bogged down in too many other features.   We tried several other softwares (ClickUp, Monday.com, TeamGantt) but they were too complicated (required watching many videos, had many features we didn't need) and also didn't have the features we were looking for (color coding, easy to group and copy tasks, easy to change views of which level of tasks show up on the chart) and were more expensive. Instagantt is exactly what we needed! It also costs a fraction of the other softwares we looked at. Amazing!

I need to have a critical path on manufacturing machinery.  Most tasks are less than 2 hours and some are 5-15 minutes.

I'm using it for project management. It has good potential but some features need a lot interface development.I am still creating the whole project on Asana because it is easier/nicer to use, and going to Instagantt for the 'Overview' section to export that to my presentation

Needs development

(continuing from above) a snapshot of that to share with others. But then it means that I have milestones separated from the tasks needed to achieve them...

Maybe.... a "milestones only" view would solve the problem, and remove all the nitty gritty that people don't have time to look at.

That could be an idea actually...!

A great tool that can grow further

 It has allowed us to provide a visual representation of the various stages of our production to our clients, so they are aware of the timing and various inter-connected processes that lead to a complete product.  Having setup dependencies of the sub-tasks within the various processes means that if there is a delay, the rest of the project is adjusted and the client has an instant update of the new time frame.

                                                       Before Instagantt, I was using Asana. And I still do. But what I like about Instagantt is it's just very clean in its presentation. I actually connect to Asana to bring over all the information. And then for presentation purposes to the client, I use Instagantt.
                                                       Clean presentation. It connects to Asana. And we, as a company, use Asana as our project management tool. Instagantt also has a free account, which I use. So I can sort of connect up to three of my projects in Instagantt. I tend to use... I'm sort of PMing multiple projects, so Instagantt is very helpful in that sense as well.
                                                       Very, very intuitive. If you've used any kind of a tool like Microsoft Project or even Excel, it is very intuitive. I probably picked it up in five minutes. There's plenty of YouTube videos as well. So you can watch those before you even use Instagantt.
                                                       I would say try and get the free account. Get familiar with it so you make sure that it is what you want, and then you can upgrade to the tool.
