TekMetric has been a huge benefit to our business. The ease of use is outstanding, and they’re constantly upgrading the system according to what the users request.

Tekmetric’s SMS is the best bang for your buck and is only getting better as each day passes. Their customer support is amazing to get to know as well.

I found that transitioning from another program to Tekmetric was fairly seamless and the help when we need it is Always available and very helpful.

Amazing We Based Auto Shop Management Software.

The DVI and texting inspections and estimates, all for one low price. As a bonus I feel lucky that the product gets updated almost daily was not expecting that.

Still missing features, but the team is adding them at lightning fast spped.

If I had one complaint it would be the inability to customize certain aspects of the program.

No "counter service" option for parts pick up only. We still have to select a vehicle and assign a tech even though it is not always necessary.

Once the prospective customer investigates their delightful treat that has appeared on their phone, they will be overwhelmed in amazement. Such a thing exists in the automotive world.

My overall experience with Tekmetric is that I would love to have the program operating in my shop but I found it too hard to implement under current circumstances with the current work force. I was 67 years old and just found it too exhausting so we gave up and went back to our previous system. If I don't get out of the business I make take a future crack at it again. Hopefully I will have better staff to help me if I do and since Tekmetric is constantly tweaking the product it may be easier to implement then.

Hey Frank! Thank you for taking the time to review Tekmetric as your feedback is extremely valuable to us. Like you, most of our shops really find the DVI tool to be beneficial for their shops. I hate to hear that you had a hard time in the transition and want to you know that it is our number one goal to make sure all of our shops are comfortable with Tekmetric so we do offer a variety of training options including the training hub videos, live webinars, one -on-one training, and onsite training. We offer these tools because we know how hard it can be to make a software switch, especially if you have been using your legacy software for several years. 

As you said, we are constantly updating Tekmetric and the Labor Guide is one of those items that we are consistently updating. 

If you do make the decision to come back to Tekmetric please do not hesitate to utilize the various training rules and ask for some additional hand holding because we are willing to accommodate your shop!

It's just miserable, worst program that I have ever used in my Mechanic / Technician Career

As a technician, we are getting jabbed by labor Times.

Going to cloud based software was a game-changer. My entire team now uses the software and relies on it for information sharing. We simply couldn't do that before. I have been extremely satisfied with Tekmetric since day one.  Data migration from my old software was fast, the learning curve for my staff was painless,  and customer support is immediate.  My clients appreciate being able to review, approve or decline jobs via text/email and see pictures of inspections and worn parts. Being cloud based has significantly decreased the amount of time spent on the phone with clients and vendors; our phone calls are much more productive and my staff is more efficient.  I can manage my shop without physically being at the shop!  If I run into a client at the grocery store, I can now intelligently discuss their car's history, explain needed repairs, schedule appointments or order parts. I can review workflow and analyze shop performance from anywhere I happen to be.

Shop management essential 

If anything our overall experience has been phenomenal. Every system of course has room for growth, but quite honestly for any negatives that could arise, the positives would absolutely far outweigh them. It has not only accelerated our ability as an inside staff, but the cross-communication between tekmetric and autotext.me has allowed for our outside staff to communicate seamlessly with our service department. We are more than satisfied with how tekmetric has worked for us, and the continual updates keep getting better.

I've been using this system since Oct of 2019, could be happier. We came from RO writer and this is a whole new world compared to that. Everything from estimates to making appointments its easy. I was surprised how quickly it was to learn this system.

Tekmetric has allowed us to incorporate digital vehicle inspections into our automotive repair business.  Our customers love being able to receive a detailed report with pictures of every issue we find on the vehicle.  Overall, it's been a fantastic product and I would definitely recommend it to any shop owner/manager looking to update from one of the many archaic management software systems that are still being marketed today.

Tracy W.:                                              Hi, I'm Tracy. I'm the service director. I give Tekmetric five stars. For more reviews like this, click the button below.
                                                       Prior to using Tekmetric, we used manual processes. Everything was handled by Excel and Word, required a lot of manual data entry. It required... There was no paper trail. You just re-wrote over the last invoice and proceeded onto the next. It did not allow for very good follow up with our customers, nor tracking and time-consuming. You had to go out, get quotes manually for parts, and then you had to write it all down. Then you had to type it all in the notes and into the Excel spreadsheet. It was just a very cumbersome process.
                                                       The number one reason we chose Tekmetric was it was the only software system out there that provided us an opportunity to communicate via text message directly with our clients. Alldata, Mitchell, all of the competitors out there were not as advanced as Tekmetric when it came to communicating with the customer. They were advanced in things like ordering parts, but when it came to dealing with customers, you had to have a third-party system. You had to have something different added to the system, and it just seemed like it wasn't working for us. When we brought in Tekmetric, all of our systems kind of seemed to merge together and make the perfect plate, and so that's been the easiest thing with us.
                                                       Getting started with Tekmetric was the easiest thing ever. It was the click of a button, and 24 hours later, we were live in our customer database that we had created in an Excel spreadsheet because that's all we used... Was already uploaded and ready to go. It made it so simple for us. Adding our new vendors as they come onboard has been really simple. It's been a challenge more so from a personnel side because they weren't used to getting data from vendors. We use a vendor, we just say, "Oh, we bought it from Joe Smith or X, Y, Z company," and we never had to track their address and they things like that. Now, we actually have that data, so it feeds right into our accounting system, and it's really simple.
                                                       My number one recommendation when looking at a program and why I would consider Tekmetric as being your opportunity to succeed is the ease of use and their compatibility with people. They take the time to get to know their clients and what their marketing base is, how their op shops work and cater the program to you. If we have a problem or we want something new, we have a huge database that we can put stuff in and make suggestions. Then they review those daily. They have teams that look at them. Many of the changes we've asked for, they've updated and done right away, and it's been great for us.
