Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Magnus TMS overview
What is Magnus TMS?
Magnus Technologies builds enterprise TMS software for trucking and logistics companies of all sizes. Based in Austin, Texas, Magnus began serving auto transporters in 2005 under the VTV Solutions brand, developing deep industry expertise over more than a decade while enabling freight transactions worth billions. By 2017, it was clear the broader trucking and logistics market had outgrown its infrastructure. Carriers were running on aging client/server platforms that could not keep pace with the scale, complexity, and speed modern operations required. Magnus applied its proven platform and industry knowledge to solve that problem, building an enterprise SaaS-based TMS purpose-built for the full trucking and logistics market.
More than a TMS. One platform. Every operation.
Magnus is affordable, configurable, and scalable for fleets of all sizes. One flat subscription covers the full platform, all integrations, unlimited users, and ongoing support. No add-on fees. No separate charges for software updates or new integrations.
Why SaaS over client/server
Legacy client/server TMS platforms require large upfront hardware investments, long implementation timelines, and growing IT overhead. Software updates are sold separately. EDI access and third-party integrations carry extra fees. Security and infrastructure maintenance fall on the customer's team.
Magnus runs on AWS. Security, redundancy, and continuous updates are managed at the platform level. Customers stay current without managing upgrades or absorbing infrastructure costs. The platform is also SOC 2 compliant.
The Magnus Platform
Magnus is a single platform built around three integrated components.
The core TMS handles order entry, load planning, dispatch, real-time shipment tracking, document management, automated invoicing, and business intelligence reporting. Each user builds dashboards and reports relevant to their role. Orders move through the system via manual entry, batch upload, EDI, or API.
The Magnus Driver App connects directly to the TMS. Drivers view load assignments, capture and submit documents, send status updates, and receive dispatch communications from their phone. Paperwork gets off the truck faster. Invoices go out sooner.
The Magnus Carrier Advantage Network supports brokerage workflows inside the same platform. Carriers who broker freight to outside partners and operations that mix asset and non-asset freight run both sides of the business through one subscription.
Who Magnus serves
Magnus is available for truckload carriers, specialty fleets, freight brokers, finished vehicle haulers, dry van, flatbed, bulk, refrigerated, brokerage, and dedicated freight operations. The platform handles the complexity those operations actually have: mixed fleets, multi-stop loads, lease-purchase driver settlements, food-grade documentation, and co-brokerage workflows.
Our goal is simple: help trucking companies grow a profitable business.
