Pros and cons

Twitter is a great platform to use for its simplistic use and its availability to integrate into other platforms and softwares because of its popularity.
Any social media site is good for business - really helps you promote your product. Love that there are so many people - all walks of life on twitter - from celebrities to grandfathers.
Overall, it is a great software and I would recommend it to anyone who might be interested in trying it out.
The only thing I don't like about the app is that the don't filter the post properly. Sometimes I just see inappropriate tweets and it is sometimes irritating.
The people on the app are harsher because most of the time, you are "anonymous. And it could be a bit confusing to use at first because it is a bit different from others.
Only there are lots of fake accounts in the app and when you send complaints to Twitter, it is not easy to receive feedback.

A Good But Simple Social Media Platform

Reviewed 3 months ago

Overall I had a good experience with Twitter/X. I think I will continue to use it rather often

Pros

I really liked that it was very easy for me to navigate and find what I was looking for. I also like how easy it is to write and post tweets.

Cons

I didn´t like how simplistic it is. I thought they could´ve made it ¨pop¨ more. Also, I was not thrilled about the low limit to the numbers of characters allowed in a tweet.

I really liked my experience using this site and I highly recommend it

Reviewed 5 months ago

It was a very good experience. I highly recommend it to anyone I know. I really liked the site’s interface and how professional it is, and at the same time the simplicity of using it and being a source of traffic. If you are promoting your business, for example, this is the best choice. I loved it a lot and I still use it for many things, whether for my work. Or communicate with family and friends and follow the news

Pros

One of its most important features is that I can communicate with anyone who has an account from any country other than my country in seconds, and I can also engage in discussions with senior experts in groups related to my work or interests. It is also a great source of bringing traffic to your business if you use it for the purpose of promotion, and this is absolutely wonderful. Its organization and ease of use are also its strongest features

Cons

It has few disadvantages that cannot be compared to its advantages, which are the slow customer service in responding and the inaccuracy in monitoring posts, which may lead to a false alarm, but these things I can overlook because of its truly impressive features.

Okay for social networking

Reviewed 10 months ago

Overall I'm happy to use it for social networking. I can find user with similar interests and interact with them. I can put up my thoughts, my works, or share interests. However, the interaction is still confined and gone too soon. It would be good to have function like a forum where there can be more consolidated discussions and threads.

Pros

I keep getting error message when I post my feedback on the sections, so I put them here. - Post scheduling option: Sometimes users want to time it with certain event. I don't use this often but when I have book release announcement I use it. I can draft my post first and tweak it, I can also delete it if I change my mind. It is also helpful to see the preview of my posts. - Profile Content: Option to pin your post and put important links are good. Although it's good to be longer, I think it's okay with the compacted space/allowed characters. - Block and mute function: sometimes certain users keep on appearing even though I don't follow them, it's good that I can mute them. Block is for spams, bots, and inappropriate contents.

Cons

Content Management: Sometimes I think it focuses on the wrong thing. For example, it censors certain words without looking at the context of the post, while real inflammation, fake, and offensive contents are freely circulating out there. Replies and reactions: It's not easy to see which post the notifications are referring to. This person likes/replies to my post but I don't know which one. I have to get to another section to actually find it (with different degrees of success). I can imagine how tedious it is for people who post a lot.

We need alternatives!

Reviewed a year ago

It was never very relevant for our market, but as it grew over the years it was relevant nonetheless for a global presence, but recent events have made us decide to discontinue using it

Pros

Network effects, and first player advantage. Those are the only things to like currently about this product.

Cons

It has become synonymous with disinformation and has a extremely negative connotation since the acquisition. We are all just waiting for an alternative, but at our business we decided not to continue using the platform. We recently updated our website and started a newsletter, reenergizing efforts into our social media presence, but we opted not to use Twitter any longer.

Unfiltered Thoughts: Twitter is a Platform for Unleashing Your Opinions

Reviewed a year ago

Outstanding experience overall! Been using it since years now and it has just gotten better. The fact that the word limit is increased for tweets now is one of the best things that has happened to the platform. Would definitely recommend!

Pros

Have a thought on your mind that you want to share with the world? Twitter should be your place to do it. Being one of the best social networks out there, twitter has improved a lot since [sensitive content hidden] took over. The introduction of Twitter Blue allows users to verify themselves with ease making them stand out on the platform. You can also use it to market a product using advertisements or for discussions with like minded individuals on Twitter Spaces. Definitely recommended.

Cons

While twitter blue might be great it's way to expensive, especially for people who might be from India. At that price you can eat a complete meal at a restaurant so I'd be glad if they can push the prices down for twitter blue.

Twitter as a marketing tool blows my mind

Reviewed 2 years ago

I love twitter, from the heated debates, to the jovial banter, to its use for business and politics, the networking on this app is unreal and unmatched. It is an app to be on.

Pros

For an app that's supposed to be a social app for talking and having discussions has really blown my mind on how effective it can be when used for marketing. From creating discussions on a product to marketing ones own services, it is the bomb and I love it.

Cons

Ability for people to invite you to unwanted groups. It is becoming a nuisance and that security/privacy gap needs to be fixed.

Twitter Review by Terry.G

Reviewed 2 years ago

I have come to be motivated early through Twitter. Twitter is a huge marketplace to me, because I get to dish out my written contents to awaiting and engaging audience. Also, through trends I get to be kept afloat as regards latest happenings in my chosen field, locality, state, country or the world at large.

Pros

I am a content creator, so I would say some of the beautiful part of Twitter for me are the tweets, spaces and trends. With the tweets, I can share my contents with intending readers, while through spaces, I get to meet audiences who do not even follow me, thereby having a wider reach. Then there's the trend through which I can see others view on varying topics.

Cons

API on Twitter seems like a whole different journey on its own. I am still trying to wrap my fingers around it, and it's not bulging, except you're a developer.

It helps grow, promote and have more customers across the board. It has connected me with many people, potential partners and open many opportunities for me I didn't know existed.

Pros

It keeps me updated about what is happening in my county, and what current affairs we are facing or challenges that are affecting us, and also allows me to voice out my options. It connects me with friends, helps me to build new friendships, and shows me what's trending.

Cons

It can expose a lot of weaknesses, it is too much open for accessibility. It is easy to be bullied and your information can be linked faster than you can take it off in case you posted something by mistake.

Your social media diary

Reviewed 2 years ago

Just amazing. Quite honestly. Have made friends through it. Have helped people, by doing somehting as simple as listening to what they had to say. I mean social media for most of us is an escape fro current reality. So sometimes your safe place is tweeter. As crazy as that might sound. if you surroung yourself with a couple of users who are incredibly wise, supportive and overall good people, you will be able to call your support system - Tweeter.

Pros

I mean, the fact that you can share your worries with the community that your integrated in. It might be hard to comprehend - but humans need validations from others. Its in us to seek approval. Tweeter has just that. When I was younger, I was obsessed with these show none of my friends knew. I mean, what I thought was my greatest passion was unknown to everyone I knew. So i started to feel a bit down...

Cons

The toxicity. The internet holds within its usage, thousands and thousands of cowards. You hide through a keyboard, with people only knowing of you what you wish them to know. Its very dangerous, very intimidating actually. But then again, you only attrat what you put out there. So treat people with kindness, spread love not hate, if you see something that doesnt please, I dont know, a commentary, and photo, doesnt matter. Scroll, Through. it. its not going to make a difference in your day to tear somebody appart by your commentary. Because it does suck when you put yourself out there in such a vulnerable way, and then have people making you feel stupid, ridiculous and invalid. If you dont wish that for yourself do not put that onto others, simple as that.

Great Social Media Platform To Stay In-The-Know

Reviewed 2 years ago
Pros

In using Twitter, I have found that it is a good place to share your opinions. While other social media sites such as Facebook or even Instagram allow you to do the same, Twitter seems better suited for it, especially for the younger generation. This is actually where the term/concept of the hashtag originated. I really love that you can share your tweets to your Instagram account. You can share/retweet,...

Cons

It can be addictive, as with most social media platforms. There is a 140 character maximum, and it's sometimes difficult to summarize your tweet within this limit, or you have to resort to posting additional tweets on the topic/issue.

Twitter

Reviewed 2 years ago

Twitter is a social networking platform that allows users to share thoughts, links, photographs, and videos, as well as show news from around the world. It has helped me connect with people from all cultures.

Pros

Twitter is a wonderful social media site. Personally, I prefer Twitter among other platforms since it values personal privacy and actively helps to control fake accounts and material. It's also a crucial and effective window for marketing efforts and product promotion.

Cons

There are two things that I didn't like about it. First, it is not possible to edit tweets that have already been published. Second, the maximum amount of characters that can be utilized in a tweet is limited to Max. 280.

Get to your audience the easy way!

Reviewed 3 years ago

Find your audience, talk to them directly and be clear on your message. This is the essence of Twitter, and that's why we enjoy it and keep using it as a communication platform.

Pros

There is no other social media that lets you communicate this directly with you audience, your content is not going to get lost in a sea of other posts. And that is what we love about Twitter - direct communication with desired audience.

Cons

We would like to see more editing options for posted content - but we do think that is coming in the future with new premium options.

It's okay

Reviewed 3 years ago

Twitter is not bad for receiving news from social media that you want. I have a hard time with recognizing which buttons to push for certain things I want to do since I'm used to other social media platforms that are easier to understand the buttons.

Pros

I do like that I am able to see news the newsfeed immediately, and able to share or retweet posts. I think the functionality of the app works really well, and never had issues with the website.

Cons

At times, I get confused about how to share a post, or copy a link since I don't use it often. I'm not familiar with the small buttons since I'm more used to facebook, instagram, and tiktok. I would say the familiarity of the product with other products doesn't allow me to use twitter more often because of the confusion I have with the buttons at times.

Twitter for Vlogging

The problems am solving with Twitter is reaching out to many people.

Pros

What i like about Twitter is the use of hashtags which makes the tweet to reach a large audience. As a writer i use Twitter to promote my writing. With Twitter am able to get current and trendy issues. Intergrating Twitter with my business was easy and i would recommend it to any freelancer.

Cons

Twitter adminstrators need to curb the racist remarks and cyber bullying that goes on there. One is now even afraid of posting a tweet for fear of being insulted. Plus, there are a lot of Pseudo accounts on Twitter. Otherwise It's easy to intergrate Twitter with the business and no improvements required.

Twitter... One of the top social media

Reviewed 3 years ago

It's a platform you didn't think you needed and it comes to you and becomes essential not only to experience what you feel and share it, but to maintain communication with the people you get to know through it. It allows you to stay connected to things going on around you that you are not normally aware of because of distance or because it is not happening directly to you. And it is a form of entertainment in a way thanks to the creativity of its users.

Pros

It is easy to use, and allows you to meet and communicate with people you would never think you would be able to talk to due to distance, it is very good when it comes to sharing an idea or a thought with the world. And it allows you to find people who have the same likes and ideas as you, it lets you know that you are not really alone.

Cons

It is a very toxic platform at times due to the constant posting of "controversial" content that can divide opinions in an excessive way and even create violence within the community, it handles very poorly the reports or inappropriate content that appears in its rules, it is understandable due to the large number of users but could be better managed, in addition to communication with its users is not easy. In addition to the above, it would be its mobile application and its chat that can constantly show errors and its interface can be tiring due to its lack of development. Its evolution has been very slow compared to other social networks.

Twitter Is King for Promoting Written Content

Reviewed 3 years ago

We love Twitter. It's our best performing platform for organic interaction. The cherry on top? It's open source, and much less privacy-intrusive than other options available.

Pros

In terms of social media platforms, which one is best for your company will depend on the type of company you're running. For us, as a written online publication, Twitter is king when it comes to organically promoting our content, as well as interacting with our fans. We simply get the best organic interaction rates of any social media platform on Twitter.

Cons

Compared to its main rivals, the paid promotion options on Twitter are a bit lackluster. The metrics in particular leave a little bit to be desired.

The Best App for online conversations

Reviewed 3 years ago

Twitter is one of the best social media applications that I use. Basically because the Twitter conversations that I engage in weekly more often give me a voice in the mental health space. I have been able to get media interviews due to my interactions on Twitter. The memes, funny photos and videos often make my day which helps in relieving stress. Through trending topics, I am kept abreast of all happenings real time.

Pros

What I like about this software is that it allows one to post messages that are brief to the point. In 280 characters one needs to be concise and straight to the point. Besides posting text, it allows one to attach videos, text and GIFs. Twitter is a good way of unwinding, especially in traffic in the morning, one gets to know of the latest happenings by following up on trends. Through the memes and fun facts, its a great way of relieving stress. Twitter conversations on the other hand, which I have been part of have enabled me to be a voice in mental health conversations in the mental health advocacy space. Hashtags on Twitter are powerful and have driven change, therefore Twitter is a very powerful tool.

Cons

Despite being really educative and fun, Twitter can be a toxic space as people often say whatever they feel like, which can be really taxing on our mental health. Anxiety and depression are some of the problems that have been associated with toxic social media spaces. Fake accounts, bots and robots are many on Twitter and more often than not, lead to misinformation. Many have been led astray through these fake accounts hence the need to be very careful while on this platform. Gaining followers is not that easy, despite staying active, I have been stuck on the same place for years.

My Love-Hate Relationship with Twitter

Reviewed 3 years ago

Overall its a great way to waste some time! I've been posting less and less recently for my mental health. I find myself only going on to scroll, I stopped posting art altogether because only getting 3 likes was really damaging my self esteem.

Pros

What I love most about Twitter is the freedom to be able to post anything (that isn't inherently harmful) to the site. You see so much creativity, it really is entertaining!

Cons

It is impossible to get followers organically. As an artist I've always struggled with gaining a following but Twitter's algorithm buries content from small creators - then those with massive followings only seem to get bigger. It's sad because a lot of artist make money off commissions via exposure and it feels like you have to fight against the site in order to get some engagement.

Twitter, the best communication tool on the Internet

Reviewed 3 years ago

Despite all these problems that I reported, Twitter remains my favorite social network. Of course, I get stressed at times with news about politics or the neglect of the health of my country (Brazil). But what relieves and amuses me are the memes, the photos/videos of kittens and the presence of my friends. There is nothing more rewarding than that.

Pros

Since its emergence, Twitter has presented itself as one of the best ways to express itself on the internet. Functioning as a microblog, it allows us to tell the world what we are thinking of in 280 characters. It is extremely easy to use software: Just type in what you are thinking and publish. Cons

Despite being a great tool for having fun and debating important issues, Twitter ended up becoming a "toxic" space, precisely because it allows everyone to say what they want. I love it. I've met some awesome people there who have helped me with my business. It somehow gives me the impression that it's easier to get noticed on Twitter than on Facebook.

Pros

The simplicity of the app is what I like the most. It's easy to learn and use. You can make friends online really fast, stay up to date with the latest news even if you're not that interested in news, and grow a list of followers faster than with other social media apps like Facebook. You can make the account private which means your tweets will be visible to you and those you allow to see your tweets,...

Spot review of twitter

Reviewed 4 years ago

Personally, twitter may be the best social media application to obtain breaking or fast spreading news secondary to the hashtag sharing mechanism. It also is very fast to interact with via mobile to subdue millennial anxiety secondary slow processing

Pros

What makes Twitter an efficient mobile application in 2020 is definitely the speed of functionality and ability to share information quickly. The speed of functionality can be attributed to it's web application architecture that allows it to be more efficient cross platform between mobile and desktop. The social blogging atmosphere allows the use of hashtags, which can be pinned to certain stories/tweets which in turn can be shared or hyperlinked to the original story/subject. One of the most prominent examples of this is how The President of the United States links his tweets with the #MAGA hashtag.

Cons

The functionality in itself of twitter is hard to criticize however, personally I feel Twitter has demonstrated censorship more so than other social media applications as the software giant openly admits if a user breaks the terms of service. It has been argued on other media outlets that conservative ideation gets censored out of the "twittersphere" while more liberal viewpoints do not, for example, Antifa vs Qanon.

Twitter and my Art Brand

Reviewed 6 years ago
Pros

Not many people don't know what twitter is, it is probably one of the most recognizable social media platforms out there. I started using it for the purpose of advertising my art brand and it probably is the easiest, especially for beginners. It is very straight forward and forces you to keep your words under a certain count which helps with those of use that can be kinda longwinded...cough...cough. They integrate with just about everything and offer a really cool app called TweetDeck that can really help with organizing branded tweets, or any tweet, that you would want to save as a collection.

Cons

The double edge sword of only having a certain word count is sometimes even the leanest ads don't make the cut and you really have to balance between the keywords and the ad itself which can be annoying when you have already spent so much time to make a short ad to begin with only to learn that it still is not short enough. Also, the chances of a tweet being seen, with so many people tweeting their thoughts constantly, is not always high and you have to be kinda aggressive with tweeting without being overbearing.
