Hands down the only way to Host Videos!

We have used Wistia for years and years - initially hosting videos of our conference series in my previous startup, and these days for marketing and website videos. It's a great experience all round.

it's a simple tool with a huge impact on the engagements of users. 
so we're still using youtube videos for integrated traffic on the site whereas Wistia is used in a more strategic way on the site / landing pages and with deeper video content that relate to the later stages of the buying cycle to add scoring to the overall prospect.

This is a company doing it right. They have really great training materials, both about how to use the product itself and industry best practices to help you build a video strategy. The customer service was very responsive and flexible. The user interface was so visual and intuitive to navigate, which is important to me in video hosting platforms since I check analytics and details often. The ability to customize the player, add hyperlinks and forms directly into the videos, and track click rates of links are all really valuable tools for video marketing  .

Durgesh:                                               Hi, my name is Durgesh. I am a content creator for icsbits.com, which is a cybersecurity mentoring platform for potential cybersecurity enthusiasts and professionals. And I give Wistia a four star out of five.
                                                       Before using Wistia, we used Camtasia and their publishing platform. Of course, we also tried to use YouTube and all of the other open source free applications that are available.
                                                       I chose Wistia for a couple of reasons. One is the ability to create different projects and also keep them private, do collaboration with others in the team. And the other reason I chose Wistia is the analytics that it provides us with a lot of information about the watched videos, the number of hours watched, and the clicks on any sort of call to action type of features on the video. So those were some of the reasons why we chose Wistia over the other platforms.
                                                       Sure. So started using Wistia as the free tier. It was really simple. So go onto their website, put in a couple of information, your email address and name of the company just to get started. And then you are signed into their free tier account where you can use that for unlimited use. However, they have limitations on the number of videos. And so I had to reach out to them to see if they can help me understand how I can test certain lengths of the videos. And they were able to actually help me out by extending some of those limitations because I was working with them. And also, I started using Wistia in a very early stage in their development. So I probably have some cool features there on the free tier that nowadays you may not be able to get on a free tier, but their support has been extremely useful in terms of getting to know the product. And so yeah, onboarding was really, really easy. You do it on your own, you sign up and then you ask for help when you need it.
                                                       So one consideration for using Wistia is your use case. So if you have a use case that you are trying to create content for an organization, a company, this is an excellent product, but there are some caveats to using Wistia versus YouTube because you are limited to certain quotas on how many videos you can upload. Of course, they provide you with tiered memberships. So those are something you want to look for before you start using the platform. Because with any platform, once you start putting all your videos in and you start investing in that platform, you want to make sure it can scale out and then it's also affordable as you move through this process of using Wistia or any other product. But in this case, Wistia.

                                                       The standard ones that most people probably look at, which is hosting via YouTube or Vimeo, really, it was about control. We're willing to pay a little bit extra perhaps to have a little bit more control over the videos and how we're distributing, and also from getting some better stats on them.
                                                       I chose Wistia because it just worked. So I've been using Wistia for about seven years now, and it just works. It's really easy to upload videos, really easy to share them, really easy to get data back on those videos. And it's really easy to update and swap out as well. And so it just works. It's super simple, and I've had no issues with it. And they also, as a company, they get it, just the history of them as a company. They've shown a commitment to people that are producing content and hosting it, particularly businesses. And so I'm just drawn to that as well.
                                                       Super easy. I never had to talk to anyone. So when it's software like that, in my mind, it shouldn't be hard to implement. And so the fact that I was able to click around, and get rolling, and loaded hundreds of videos now over the time I've used them for training and demo purposes. So it's been great.
                                                       I think the biggest thing is if you're willing to pay more for hosting, I would encourage you to get as much out of it as you possibly can. So whether it's labeling, or customizing thumbnails, or bringing people in into different parts of your video via their chapter function, I would just encourage you to get the most out of that. They've got some really deep functionality. And so, for me, I do training videos, and long demos is what I host. And so I would encourage you just to get the most out of it. Don't just host the video, but make sure that you present it and make it as accessible to your audience, and particular parts of the video accessible to your audience as best as you can. They've got a lot of cool features that allow you to do that, and I'd say take advantage of them.
