Materio is a cloud-based software designed to help construction businesses create estimates/proposals and manage construction projects on a centralized platform. Supervisors can build estimates using the visual estimation tool and provide project access to clients or team members to facilitate overall collaboration.

HOWEVER, like I said at the beginning of my review, I do believe Materio will be a viable solution and I do hope to one day really really love Materio.

The product clipper is great and easy to use. Clients like having a say with the suggestion feature, and being able to comment on individual selections.

He'll be able to see that when he chooses option A or B.Example: Our client expects to spend 2.1 with us for his project.

Very user friendly, clean to look at, and easy to navigate.

Perfect for our cost plus model. Love the stacks and mood boards, oh and the QR codes.

Client facing portal is user friendly and helps clients be guided toward selection choices. As a Builder, our company uses this for all of our projects.

I like being able to organize all files and details within each line item. Clients like seeing the scope page with the budget detailed out.

The pricing was one of the main factors I switched over and for it to quickly go up shortly after I signed up was also disappointing.

I love the complete integration of the entire team, between the site, office, and clients this puts all the key players in connection which aligns with our business premise.

It's been a boost to our business, given us a professional way to interface with jobs and keep clients updated on their projects. It helps keep us accountable and move items & projects forward.

General Contractor

Our main pain point (which in the scheme of things is minor) has to do with the accounting/expense side of the platform.

I've had some trouble learning how to use, but I think the reason is that I do not use it regularly enough.

Buildertrend

Materio is easy to use, has great customer service ([sensitive content hidden] is a gem!) and the software has completely streamlined our process both externally with our clients and internally as a team. It has made budgeting way easier and more transparent, and I love having all our tasks and timelines in one place to keep us on schedule. We have received positive feedback from both clients and the builders we work with, and overall has made our workflow much more efficient, streamlined, and keeps everyone in the loop. We are truly so happy with Materio and excited to see new features roll out.

We love Materio!

Customer service is always amazing and take feedback to continue improving features to make it more user friendly. Sometimes feedback is applied within a week or two of mentioning it. 

I’ve tried them all and materio is the best!

It has been way, way harder to onboard and use and the cost is so high that I would not redo the choice to join but I am too deep in to switch. It hasn't been worth the cost upgrade of leaving something that was under $100 a month to what we pay now.  It is a huge expense for me as a small business, and I haven't saved that in time or effort

Review for You

Materio is incredibly robust, the team is fantastic/responsive/knowledgeable, and the software is actually fun to use. There is a copious amount educational/training material and the chat bot is pretty flawless. I only wish I'd made the switch from Houzz sooner!

Highly Recommended for Design/Build

The reason I titled my review "Misterio (aka Materio): Our Love, Hate Relationship" is because I firmly believe Materio will be able to help solve a lot of our internal struggles with project management and it does have the majority of the things I have been looking for in a software project managing tool.  My only gripe is that it feels like were are still in the very Beta stages of the program and I wish more research and consultation with Design Build firms specifically would had been done before launching it and offering it in the market. I think a lot more testing should have been done with these types of companies prior to advertising and selling Materio as a solution for a Design Build firms. It has actually not saved me time like I was hoping.  It has been a bit of a time sink since there are so many things that are still being flushed out.  I also didn't appreciate the pricing jumping from the original advertised price of under $150/month to almost double that now.  The pricing was one of the main factors I switched over and for it to quickly go up shortly after I signed up was also disappointing.  HOWEVER, like I said at the beginning of my review, I do believe Materio will be a viable solution and I do hope to one day really really love Materio!

Love this tool!

We started using Materio about a year ago and have seen a measurable difference in procurement time and tracking. We also have a much easier time with client design hours, tracking, and billing.

The integration to quickbooks and the precision with managing budgets and payments is lovely. and the clients love to visualize the user interface. the addition of mood boards linked to products has been a game changer. We've been on board since the beginning!

Materio is the best, a real gamechanger, and will grow with our business

We started using Materio a few years ago, but really have integrated it fully about 6 months ago. Like with any new tool, you have to learn how to use it figure out the best way to apply it to your business, but overall we are super happy with how our projects are organized, how we can communicate with our clients, and also how easily we are able to put together quotes and contracts! We look forward to continue using the platform as it gets better and better!

Materio for the win!

10 out of 10, again can't sing their customer service higher praises. The best part is being able to manage, truly every aspect of our projects on the platform. Sourcing, design library, takeoffs, scope of work, internal communication, client communications, selections, upload plans, take payments - everything!! And sure, software like Ivy claim they offer this but it is nothing like the streamlined functionality of Materio. 

The best design build software on the market, dont waste time looking anywhere else!
