Quality service with friendly, helpful help and advice

Five star rating. Easy to use. Pleasant and helpful staff. Easy to contact on the phone. No long arduous messages whilst waiting to get through and no long wait time. I often get through in a matter of seconds. I don't recall ever having to wait more than a two or three minutes before my call is answered.

Pros

Setting up a ticketing system for an event is always easy, even for a technophobe like me. Easy step by step instructions and options. If I've ever had any problems or made any mistakes that I couldn't rectify, TicketSource are easy to contact on the phone, and will take time helping me with step by step instructions. I have never felt rushed or made to feel foolish if I don't understand what they are telling me the first time. There is no hard sell and I'm not bombarded with emails telling me about their products.

Cons

Setting up a new system can be a little confusing to anyone who hasn't done it before, but help is readily available if needed. We are a small theatre studio, and obviously put on shows and productions. However, recently, we considered doing a music show and setting up the seating in a cabaret style with seats around tables. It did occur to me that it would have been good to have been able to set up a seating plan that showed a symbol/shape; circle, square, rectangle etc. that could be selected to indicate seating around a table. In the end, I went for everyone sitting where they like, so it wasn't relevant this time.

Simple, effective and adaptable

Generally a smooth process from start to finish.

Pros

It provides a simple point of sale system for online bookings and enables me to keep an eye on how an event is selling, so if I need to up the marketing or reign in the budget, I can do so.

Cons

The phone booking system is not automatically offered. This should be a given for older patrons to the theatre.

Hard to fault TicketSource

I have been using TicketSource for 18 months and once you get to understand what the various options are and how to deal with the charges (fee added on in full or fixed amount etc) it is simplicity itself to use thereafter. Help is at hand if you don't understand the online instructions. Copying and then amending an existing event to create a new event makes life very easy as you do not have to enter...

Great software but still room to grow.

In general, I like this software. It does the basics of ticket provision well and is easy to use from a ticket buying customer point of view. From a seller point of view, I think it would benefit from further development. For larger / fixed venue amateur theater companies who have lots of data to add, making the interface more user-friendly and cohesive would be good. It's all very small things...

great overall but room for improvements

Great back end functions etc but interface is a little ugly especially on mobile devices. Wish could bulk update events, i.e. if change general terms and conditions, it's very painstaking to indiv modify each upcoming event. We really use the public facing ticket remaining function, it would be great if this was visible on mobile view and not just desktop. Also mobile view doesn't work if trying...

Ticket Source Works for Our Amateur Dramatic Group

Ticket Source gave us everything we needed to connect with our audience after 2 years of no productions due to COVID restrications. It exceeded our expectations in all areas.

Pros

Flexible box office capability was crucial as we moved from a manual system to online. Some of our customers and our cast needed a phone or email ticket ordering capability. Ticket Source "ticked all the boxes" We linked the online sales to our website for maximum accessability. Our tickets went on general sale on 1st March for a production that started on 23rd March. We sold out within 5 days!

Cons

The mobile responsiveness could be better - although it was possible to use the back office etc.

Live Music!

I've been using Ticketsource for nearly four years with a Live music project in the Yorkshire Dales. the system allows multiple venues to be stored so setting up a gig is as simple as copy event and change the band name. The customer support was great, I especially liked the fact the team could view how I had set up our event page and provide step by step advice. The FAQ's on the website were helpful too. I often found it difficult to find the right set of data and became confused at times when trying to understand the difference between two data sets eg. sales report, the front of house report, price category report etc. However, whenever I had a query, customer service was always available to take my call. One suggestion for improving the system would be to have a function where customers who buy tickets can be directed to share their purchase on Facebook or Twitter.

Our new ticketing partners

TicketSource has improved our customer experience. The support is excellent and the software easy to use. Integrations with other payment merchants and mailing providers was also simple and seamless.

Pros

having used other ticketing software it was refreshing to use a system that simply worked well. Our customer's had a far better experience with TicketSource which meant we had far less correspondence to deal with. It was easy to set up various ticketing options, discounts, comp tickets etc and track it within the data.

Cons

It was hard to find a good way of scanning tickets at large quantities particularly in a field without laptops.

Great service for multiple event community festivals

I like the quick answering of the Ticketsource helpline phone by someone in the UK (Wales) who is of course familiar with our language and vernacular. Help lines in the Philippines may be on offer 24/7 but they dont understand the nuances of an issue being discussed. I am running a multi-event festival it has become very simple to set up the system now.

Pros

It improves each time we use it, adding welcome new features. It is complex but logical.

Cons

The public access to a current event shows say X Tickets available. It would help if it said X tickets available out of Y, where Y is the maximum. I encourage my multiple small event organizers to watch their ticket bookings (they dont have access to the back of house) and it gets confusing when they cant remember how many tickets there are for the event but it says say 32 Available or worse still 50+ available. Also, when setting up multiple events with the same Ticket Launch Date, why cant we click "All event tickets available from the same date" Also when selecting a venue location at the beginning for a new event, why cant we set up a subdirectory of our own regularly used venues rather than scrolling down numerous similar venues across the globe.

Not a bad option for our first foray into professional ticketing solutions

On the whole positive, with room for improvement. We will likely use them for our next event, and we can already see more efficient ways to use the system with hindsight

Pros

Relatively easy to use, no booking charges for free events, straightforward payments to our bank account.

Cons

Quick-booking GUI was not suited to on-the-day sales, payment integration options are limited (where is the Paypal or Sumup integration?), and the integrations they had were not the most straightforward to troubleshoot, with much passing back and forth between themselves and Stripe

Straightforward ticketing platform

Straightforward to use. Booking fee is lower than other platforms.

Pros

Intuitive set up and design. Good "how to" videos. Easy to manage.

Cons

No notification of sales activity - need to log in daily to check sales. Would be helpful if TicketSource can automatically promote events through major gig platforms like other ticketing platforms do, as it takes extra work to post these manually.

We have been using TicketSource as our sole provider for Box Office solutions now for just over a year. During this time, they have continued to improve what was already an excellent product! The service provided when cancelling a show or encountering a technical issue has been superb. Issues are dealt with efficiently and you are kept informed of progress at all times. Peace of mind.

Pros

I have previously used Eventbrite, not any more, TicketSource is simpler to use which works well for me as a small business, it has lower charges which means i can make my events more affordable which is important to me as its not all about profit, the information access is straight forward, I'm kept informed of things i may need to do and all in all I couldn't be happier with TicketSource, I will continue to use them.

Cons

That I didn't find it earlier and had to use Eventbrite.

Useful tool for selling and monitoring ticket sales

This is an amazing tool for selling tickets. The only hiccup I had was when someone was able to book a wheelchair and carer seat as normal tickets when those seats had been marked as wheelchair and carer seats. I don't know how that could have happened.

Pros

Very user friendly. I love the sales reports which quickly give you an idea of what has been sold.

Cons

Not having ever set up online ticketing before it was a bit of a daunting task with all the various drop down bars with all the different options for setting up an account. I had to ring up for help a few times but always got good advice and was pointed in the right direction.

Excellect choise for Self managed event ticketing

Excellent choice for our needs as a community group.

Pros

Easy to set up and manage. Easy access through usual browsers on PC and phone, with addition of mobile app for Front of House . Multiple users with ability to set up different roles for each. Flexible to our requirements

Cons

Initially found it clunky in parts of the setup as some information was repeated per individual event, but got easier with more use.

The Ticket Source site is an easy way to sell tickets for events - just put the link into the advert for event and hey presto the customers book and we get paid a week later full amount for tickets as customers pay the admin fee - very early doors for me at moment but will look to advertise event with ticket source as business builds up. Thank you for making things so easy.

Cons

So far there are no cons about TicketSource as my experience has been positive only.

The service is great and fairly easy to use, I particularly like the options to customise the landing page with your personal banners. Customers who are issued tickets have commented how easy it is to use and The paper ticket service is faultless and great value for the purchaser. they have a very systematic solution and addressing the user data for the ticket collected and resolve it with the very fastest and reliable way possible.

Ticket software was fine, analytics were useful, not particularly stand out amongst competition, what did make ticketsource stand out was the availability of ticket scanning hardware, unfortunately hardware did not work (most importantly incorrect charger for base station laptop), causing a great deal of extra work during the event and cost of temporary universal charger to get the thing to work. Faultiness of charger then completely denied by customer service, will not be using ticketsource again, is ridiculous after they made around £1300 from the event.

To confirm, we use the same make of laptop for all of our scanning kits so its not possible that an incorrect charger could've been dispatched. The scanning hardware was analysed by the technical team upon its return, and the supplied charger was found to work correctly with the laptop. That said, we really do value customer feedback and are always looking to improve our offering. To this end, we will shortly be introducing a brand new scanning solution which will better anything else available in the marketplace, so I do hope you will reconsider using our service in the future.
