Catalyst is a full-stack cloud-based serverless development tool that provides backend functionalities. Catalyst helps developers build microservices and web applications. Adapting a BaaS (Backend as a Service) model, Catalyst provides universal, server-side components as programmable elements.
Thus, as opposed to setting up and maintaining the server-side components, you can instead invest your time and effort into designing the user experience of the serverless applications.
These are the three major components that Catalyst provides: Backend as a Service, Function as a Service, and WebClient Hosting. These components allow for rapid application development, near-zero server maintenance, elastic scaling, and pay per use.
