Pros and cons

Sensitive content hidden] was an awesome help with helping us install/update TPS.
Integration has been very smooth, easy for staff adapt to, imbedded tutorial videos very helpful. Overall we have been very pleased with the variety of components and logical flow of TPS Cloud.
I am not a techy person by any means & she was very polite, helpful, and explained to me what our situation was; which we will be updating in the near future.
When we are unable to access system due to errors.
Finding a client is often difficult in the data base and duplicates are difficult to remove.
Reports need to be simplified, very hard to find information that is needed, seeing what an invoice is for without having to open the invoice or type descriptions every time would be more convenient.

An inexpensive T&B software for small to midsized companies.

Pros

After growing too large for Microsoft's imaginetime, we moved on to TPS. We were very excited to have a locally stored program that is NOT cloud based (though they have that option) which is very inexpensive considering everything it provides. Their support is absolutely top notch as well. The program has a lot of widgets - we'll see how much actually gets used - but there is a lot of bang for your buck here.

Cons

The conversion from imaginetime to TPS left something to be desired, as we couldn't roll over our AR, but we could roll over our WIP.

A very useful tool for the modern accounting practice. Can help keep employees on track.

Pros

A very functional (and detailed) time tracking, billing and general practice management tool. Have significantly upgrade the UI so much better to use than even a few years ago.

Cons

Can still be difficult to pull relevant reports quickly. Editing and moving certain entries is not as intuitive as you would like.

One of my favorite programs

Pros

After many years of using the on premise version, we switched to cloud axis at the end of last year. The transition was easy and the customer support is phenomenal - by far the best of any program we use. They listen to my feedback and promptly act on it whenever possible. Cloud Axis has simplified my job with its functionality and ease of use.

Cons

I do sometimes find it difficult to locate the report that best suits my particular need.

we use the desktop version so some of this does not apply

We are able to track time spent to our corporate clients easily but it is more difficult with T1s that take a very short time and as a result we don't have a clear indication of how much or how little time it took to do one of these returns.'We set a half hour as the minimum to track to an individual and all others goes to a general "taxpayer account"

Pros

Time, activity and expense tracking are all we are using it for at the current time. We are an old group and not all are tech savvy and struggle with these few functions.

Cons

To easily find a client in the client section you may just enter the name of the client you are looking for in the Full name search field. Also at the very top you will see a drop down box called: Active/Inactive. This should help sort down to the clients you are looking for!

Pros

We are very basic users. Time input by employees. Invoices input by me and payments input by me. The transition to TPS Cloud was very user friendly.

Cons

There are so many features that do not pertain to us. It would be helpful if I could just put as many e-mails and contacts within the Address tab of the client and not use contacts. I do not contact clients through TPS so this is not really a feature that is convenient for me.

A far as the contacts, we have made important improvements to our system regarding the Contacts and Email address section in TPS Cloud Axis. Emails will now be stored in the Contacts tab. We will create a ticket to has some one from support reach out and explain in detail.

Wonderful! The program is very easy to use, has all the reports we could ever need and more and the support we have always received from [sensitive content hidden] and others is quick, extremely detailed and gets me back on track with answers to all my questions in no time.

Pros

I like that the interface is extremely user friendly with instructional videos available with each tab. There are also many ways to get the information that you would like to have displayed rather than just a report with a bunch of irrelevant data. We certainly have a strong handle on the business thanks to the reports available with TPS. In addition to this, [sensitive content hidden] has always been quick to offer thorough solutions to any grey areas we have or questions that arise.

Cons

I disliked making the change from the desktop version as I was worried I would need to relearn everything but the transition was quite seamless and I couldn't be happier we made the change now!

I have had to learn a lot for myself. The videos are helpful but could be a little more in-depth. Easy to learn and access

Cons

We have an issue with it dating wrong date when invoicing. Cant change date on Progress bill etc.

How to invoice our clients easier, enter in and change if needed client information. I just can't say enough good things about your support staff and how much they have helped me during the transition into the Cloud.

Pros

The software makes it easier to add, delete, create and everything else needed to work with our clients.The best all around feature about working with this product is your support personnel. Everyone I have worked with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] have so much knowledge and have been able to help me when my brain freezes over. Without their help I would be at a major loss trying to do my job. I can't say enough about your support staff and how wonderful they are.

Cons

That's hard to say considering I love your product. I think having your support staff call us is the biggest PLUS to the whole issue.

Ease of use & support.

Cons

Some of my invoices do not print as I like them and I can't figure out how to change that.I wish there was a filter in payments that was "today" so that you could compile only those payments for one day (as it is you have to have a start date of today and ending date tomorrow which skews the report).

Time & Billing Issued Solved

We've used TPS since we originally hired team members. It's part of our "family" of software programs that make this firm work.

Pros

TSP was designed for accounting firms to track time, and expenses. It's excellent when used for billings. It takes the stress out of the crucial billing process. And it's a leader in tracking team hours and processes.

Cons

There are a lot of reports, so it may take a little time to find your favorites.

Stable, but getting a bit dated

Pros

We have been using TPS for over 10 years. It's been stable, and relatively simple to use. The ability to transfer WIP is good. Tracking time is easy, and if a user wants to use the timer it is easy to start and stop. Adding time manually takes only seconds. Invoices are easy to create.

Cons

Adding new clients - the process always feel awkward, and takes just a few more clicks than it should need to. Looking up history is clumsy at times. Too many reports to wade through, although some people no doubt will appreciate the many reports.

There are lots of reports in TPS - over 400 - but that is why we offer the ability to create user defined "favorite" reports so you don't have to look through the list in the future. Wile our on premise version of TPS will continue to see improvements and upgrades I am sure you are aware of the release of our new Axis cloud version of TPS

I have a good experience using TPS. It has helped our company keep track of our work and billing clients.

Pros

I like the time tracking feature the most. It is very intuitive and easy to explain for other employees to use it. Also, there are a lot of different types of reports that I can use.

Cons

Sometimes it might be hard to delete or edit an entry if someone is working on it.

When you mark something down, it allocates the discount accross all WIP, so you can't see an employee's true performance.
