Lost a lot of data during our data migration

Fortunately for us, we have always printed paper copies of our records as a backup so we can still access our patients's medical records.

Pros

Lots of reports - still learning what they all do Appointment book is easy to schedule Sending mass emails is easy Can monitor chronic meds and non-wellness testing

Cons

Linked items do not populate invoice/estimate when they are in a "Package" Can't link a County Dog License # to the "License" code Can't automatically allow all active clients to access client portal (have to do this individually) Vaccine quick reference box includes ALL vaccines given (even those that have expired and have been updated with new vaccines)

Hello Karen,

I'm sorry to hear you have had some challenges. We will email you regarding the migration and look into what might be missing. We migrate from Intravet all the time and have had no issues in the past bringing in the data. As of now, we have corrected everything that was reported to us during the migration and go live period. Apparently that isn't the case anymore and we will work hard to resolve.

Our support is available by phone, email, and chat. You also have access to your trainer AND account manager via email and phone. If you need to call into it, please call 866-973-3622 ext 1 to speak with a support technician.

I'll have your account manager reach out for assistance. We are integrated with IDEXX's reference lab, but we can only bring in the results. Having started with eVet 4 years ago this month, I have appreciated their customer support and the capability for the system to work how we need it to in most situations.

Pros

It is powerful and adaptable to fit your needs.

Cons

For instance, the on hand inventory alert report does not let you exclude inactive items, which makes the report useless.

Evet Addition To The Practice

It has improved my room turnover time, accuracy of invoices, and integrates with my in-house lab machines.

Pros

Eliminated a huge portion of my monthly IT bill. Customer support is great and very knowledgeable.

Cons

Things have been tough for my bookkeeper and I don't have a great avenue in order to iron out these issues. Customer support is great on daily Evet use and issues but reporting needs its own department of support.

I have not found a single redeeming feature of the program so far. The inventory management does not fully integrate.

Pros

I have been in the field for over 20 years and have used many practice management systems.

Cons

I literally crash the program every time I try to run any basic report. I am not exaggerating!

Dwindling Positives

Feel as if eVet has failed to keep its promises regarding improvements, flexibility, and frequency of meaningful updates based on customer feedback.

Pros

User permissions, remote access and restrictions, time clock, distributor integrations for inventory, ability to toggle on or off lots of things (even small details), quick check out, integration with CareCredit, integration with outside and in house labs.

Cons

Reports, Financials, Label Printer Integration, lack of frequent, meaningful updates, inability to alter inventory/medical details without involving financial components (must void payment and reprocess to make any changes), lagging, old “look”, difficult to navigate and succinctly review medical records, requires so many button clicks, lack of frequent time stamping, lab results “fall off” the recently run page after a certain number, inflexibility of whiteboard utilization or options, inability to enact mass changes with inventory, clients, or patients.

The overall experience has been great. I believe that EVET is off to a great start but needs some much needed improvements to help make it better.

Pros

Appointment scheduler is amazing, Packages are nice and easy to set up and being able to give doctors their production percentage on what they actually do has made the packages a great thing. Inventory in the system is amazing!!!!!

Cons

Takes longer to do medical records because invoicing and medical records are separate.

It is easy to use and when you have issues figuring something out, the customer service chat is quick and patient to help

Pros

I really like the lice chat option. This helps with quick questions and answers that could take up more time if needing to wait for a manager or administrator. I like that you can do custom colors for different exam types so at quick glance you can see what your day looks like

Cons

the inventory management that it pulls from expiration dates instead of FIFO.

Much better than paper records!!

The software has streamlined things considerably, saving time with Rx labels, appointment making, invoicing, Rx documents, and e-mails.

Pros

The fact that I can type in rather than hand write all of my copious notes, all patient documents can readily be found, clients can be e-mailed directly from the medical file, client and financial reports readily generated, can access the software from any computer or device, medical records look good when sending to another clinic, so easy to do Rx labels, and even I as the vet can make appointments!

Cons

I did find it easier to flip through paper records to find perhaps the last time I did a blood test and quickly see the results without opening a file, same for finding a previous Rx or other treatment - the computerized files don't lend themselves as well to that as you must open all exam forms and documents, even invoices, to find what you are looking for.

Customer services has been mostly helpful though they often are confused as to what we are having trouble with and it takes an excessive amount of time to fix anything.

Pros

I can find what I need easily and data entry is fairly easy.

Cons

We also have trouble with glitches frequently and get frustrated making sure our data is entered correctly especially invoicing and payments.

The printed invoices and form are very professional looking.

Pros

Works with both Ipad and Windows 10 from work and home. Inventory items are easy to add.

Cons

On splits, each owner has to be billed, the invoice is not automatically generated from the first client, it is easy to forget that and not bill other owners of the horse.

working software (not awful, not great - does the job) support team is good they have API (which we use to build our reporting system) - not supported officially but "unofficial support" works well :)

cloud based (was the main reason we switched from Impromed)

reporting in general impossible to run global (we have 5 hospitals) reports
