Pros
The screen recording feature is invaluable for creating useful information and content for clients. The customer support team are excellent - very helpful and responsive.
Overall product is good, and at this moment it's the best product we found, it's very easy to use, and it makes fun to record vídeos and they look good.
The chrome extension is perfect for quick access and there are some great post-record editing options that free version of Vidyard does not have.
Cons
If I have to say anything negative about this service it it would be that slow internet connections can hinder the speed and fluidity of working with this tool.
I was invited by a loom affiliate during the course of a job interview. The recruiter was the rudest and most inept I had ever encountered, and it wasn't mentioned that this was an affiliate link.
Often I have trouble with the audio. I will record an entire video only to play it back and realize there is no audio.

Loom - a simple way to make tutorials

Reviewed 2 years ago

Loom is an excellent tool to collaborate with your team, since you can describe the steps of a procedure for some software or some complex task, I like that you can combine recording your screen and at the same time using the camera, Loom is practical and its interface It is intuitive, it does not require much time to know how to use it and can be share easy with a link.

Pros

What I could emphasize the most is that Loom is very simple to use; it is a software that does not take up much screen space, it is unobtrusive, and you can select the plugin on any screen and record what I am doing; it also has the ability to turn the microphone on and off as needed. It is considerably more useful than written instructions to teach how to execute a task or administer a computer because I can create tutorials.

Cons

While I like how simple the desktop app is, I wish loom had more options for video editing.

Excellent product that is being consistently improved.

Reviewed 2 years ago

I'm a big fan of Loom. I don't think there's an easier or more affordable way to quickly and easily shoot and share video content, and screen shares.

Pros

I love how easy it is to make a quick screencapture or video and share it with others. I often use it to explain things to clients, without having to write out a full e-mail. It's also helpful when reviewing documents, as they can be viewed along with video and audio commentary. The fact that you can shoot a video, and share the link in no more than a few clicks of the mouse is fantastic.

Cons

The file structure for completed videos is a bit difficult to manage. I still haven't mastered this, so my video storage is a bit of a mess. I understand that they've released new features recently to make this better, but I haven't had a chance to look at it. I haven't had to.

Waste of time

Reviewed 2 years ago

Very poor buggy.

Pros

It used to be good, but increasingly rubbish. Lots of bugs, doesn't upload. Fails mid-way. Lots of issues. I use a fast PC, and each time you ask them, they ask for logs and details and all sorts. Its a standard PC, windows 11 pro - fast connections. Their product is getting worse and worse and wasting a lot of time for me re-recording. Now just given up and switched.

Cons

It doesnt work 50% of the time, after you've wasted 8 minutes recording a video.

Loom takes the hassle of short and quick communication

Reviewed 4 months ago
Pros

Loom has been fundamental in sharing quick feedback on features and avoids more time consuming meetings

Cons

Loom could be more easily integrated to other systems, right now the links work overall well, but it could all be better.

Great for Teachers

Reviewed 3 years ago

I could not be happier with this product! I started using the free version then saw that, at least for this past year, Loom had a free version for educators with valid emails. I applied for that and never turned back!

Pros

I love the editing features within Loom. Also, the size of the files that download is wonderful! Being able to undo my edits easily when cutting a video was essential to creating quality videos for my classes this past year.

Cons

I have no cons to this program. They started downloading edits much quicker than before in the past few months which was incredible!
