Really I'm not using visio anymore or any other on-prem application. It is very cheap for that functionality, accesible to anywhere with just a browser. I'm not spending hours for diagrams, most complicated datacenter diagram (24x42U cabinets) that I draw just take 45-50 minutes.

Pros
You can easily make perfect diagrams in minutes. It has cheap price, rich export options, rich file format support, rich template and stencil library. I'm not using visio anymore since discover to draw.io

Cons
There is no mobile support yet and connecting boxes with an arrow a little messy. I think connection points of boxes need some development. This is not a big problem for me but sometimes getting annoyed for that.

Great Solutions for Creating Large-Scale Workflow Diagrams

Review Source: Capterra

Overall, this software has solved our workflow diagram problems at an incredibly affordable price. Once they are able to create a more intuitive interface, the software will become unmatched at its price point.

Pros
The best feature about this software is it's ability to integrate with all the major cloud platforms and it's incredible user experience. This software allows my development team to translate client meetings into large scale workflow diagrams that can be easily shared across platforms, making the development process dead simple from start to finish.

Cons
While the user experience on this software is, in my opinion, great; the user interface design is lacking. This lack of intuitive design can lead to slower turn around time for our employees who aren't entirely familiar with the software.

Overall it's the best tool for creating diagrams, flow charts and process graphics. I used it a lot for my papers. It has the best pricing compared to all its competitors and definitely provides the best value.

Pros
The best thing about it is the realtime editing feature, similar to online docs and spreadsheets. I love it. Also it's very robust easy to use.

Cons
The way the arrows find their way to their target objects is sometimes weird. It's hard to manipulate the arrow lines. The UI is not the easiest to use.

I used it for about two years. It worked perfectly and was easy to use. Nevertheless, it looked stale. There wasn't any new development. Therefore, it is pretty good as a cheap alternative for drawing many kinds of schemas.

Pros
The free version of this web application allowed you to create any kind of scheme. I personally use it for drawing software architecture diagrams and it worked very well.

Cons
It wasn´t easy to share documents or team collaboration. There weren´t many updates on it. That´s why I recently changed it for Lucidcharts.

Pros
Draw io is the best free tool for quickly drawing up your flowcharts. It integrates with google drive for good real time collaboration within project teams. A number of file types are supported, which was important for the variety of uses we had for the finished product. This is the great value for the price.

Cons
There could be more templates for users. While I was able to export to all the formats, I wish i was able to import a VSDX files.

Cons
It feels bloated, overly convoluted and lacks focus. It feels too much like one size fits all, yet delivers a poor UX as a result.

I used the software to solve a problem a was having trouble identifying. By mapping out the whole process using Draw.io I was able to spot the bottleneck and prepare a solution. The little amount it costs will save you a lot of money. Spend less, make more, there is nothing better than that, right?

Pros
Without a doubt, the characteristic I found the most valuable in this software was its ease of use! I feel like anybody can fully use 80% of what the software has to offer which is a very good ratio considering whats available in the market. Then, you also get more advanced functions for those who work in the field, something that allows the average user to learn and evolve as professionals when exploring the software.

Cons
Sometimes I find it not as complete as other software available. However, for the price, it is unbeatable.

Pros
I liked how straightforward the interface was, and you can't beat the price. I was up and running and saving flowcharts to my Google Drive in no time.

Cons

Pros
Free as in beer. Lots of diagram shapes. Online is available everywhere, you can save and easier access your files in google drive, one drive or the device. Their proposition and value brings serious contender to a relative crowd market. Free means everyone can join in and contribute and share. Excellent for community projects

Cons
Not so easy to use. The wireframe shapes are just other shapes grouped together. This makes the editing experience really bad, in order to change something you have to work with individual low level circles, squares, lines and etc. The UML shapes for component diagram and the way connections for implement and require interfaces are useless.

draw.io is the best charting and network diagram tool you didn't know you needed.

Recently I decided it was time to replace our aging network diagrams for a disaster recovery scenario and I found myself also tasked with creating a flowchart that would suffice as a partial software roadmap. my first inclination was to go with Visio, but then I remembered draw.io from a hobby project. remind me again of the name of that other free and open source graph/chart application? still thinking? that's ok, you don't have to. it was draw.io.

Pros
you just can't beat the price, the features, and the interface of this product. draw.io makes complicated charting and graphing as easy as clicking and dragging a mouse and hammering a keystroke now and then.

Cons
what's to dislike? possible the color of the icon; i'm not a fan of orange. also, the ability to have it create a chart based on spoken word would be a nice offering as well.

It allows me to create diagrams uml, entity relationship and Gantt diagrams and work with my students using g-suite and trello.

Pros
It's free, you only pay if you use confluence or jira and the prices are low. I can make several types of diagrams such as uml, entity relationship, flow diagrams, infographics, gantt, among others and export them in multiple formats (png, svg, jpg, pdf, xml and more). The appearance of the diagrams is nice because they have the possibility of adding colors and some effects. It allows to open files from google drive, github, trello, dropbox, onedrive and also from the same device. It integrates perfectly with g-suite, also you can use several google accounts. It is easy to use if you already have some experience with other programs to make diagrams.

Cons
I really do not find something that I hate about this software, I could only say that the support service is somewhat limited since it does not offer a chat, only email and telephone attention. It does not have collaboration options within the same application although it can be done using other tools such as g-suite, trello or jira.

For a free alternative to Visio, this is a great tool! Our company mostly uses Visio for process diagrams that are pretty in nature and given Microsoft's licensing structure, it is a pretty hefty price to do so. While we have some general resistance to change, for the most part when people start using it they are convinced.

Pros
The design is intuitive and easy to play around with to figure out how to do the things we need to do. Additionally the OneDrive integration is great for us as it is a concept our users are comfortable using.

Cons
The biggest downfall to this software is people's resistance to change and a new thing they are not used to. Because this is web based instead of installed software based, we have seen people show unease and resistance to using the software. Having an installed version may help this transition more. Additionally the text controls within shapes are a bit limited.

Draw.io is a goto, reliable software for creating simple to the most complex diagrams. Every single object is highly customizable.

Pros
Draw.io currently diagrams.net is a powerful feature-packed drawing tool (web-based application) especially for use in scientific and project management areas. It has got almost all the essential features and templates in a wide variety of diagram categories. It also comes with icon packs which we can include separately. We can link our drawings to save in any of the popular cloud storage platforms or in our device itself without signup. Drawings are highly customizable. Diagrams can also be downloaded in many formats including SVG, HTML etc.

Cons
On some low-end devices, the web app gets crashed. Especially if you are creating something without signing up, then there is a high chance of losing everything halfway.
