8am LawPay overview
What is 8am LawPay?
8am LawPay is an online payment processing and management solution used by various types of law firms, including bankruptcy law firms, family law firms, criminal defense law firms, immigration law firms, enterprise legal departments, and CLE firms. LawPay integrates with over 30 law practice management solutions. It can also be used as a stand-alone application.
LawPay supports one-off and recurring payments through the scheduling feature offered within the solution. Payment requests can be sent to clients over email and in-built email templates can be utilized and customized with the law firm's logo and other branding attributes. Alternatively, a customized payment page can be created where clients can easily submit payments online via credit card. These pages can be stand-alone or integrated within law firm's website.
Once the customer receives an invoice or payment request generated via LawPay, they have an opportunity to pay it immediately from whatever device is most convenient, be it a desktop computer, a tablet, or a mobile phone. The statuses of all payments are tracked automatically via detailed real-time reporting and users can visualize at-a-glance which payments are received, which ones are still outstanding, and what payment request methods have been the most efficient. After a payment is processed, it is automatically classified as earned or unearned revenue, based on pre-defined rules, and placed in the appropriate accounts for either operations or escrow.
All payments are accepted in compliance with ABA and IOLTA guidelines and comply with the highest security standards in the payment processing industry. LawPay is available throughout all the 50 US state bars and is recommended by the American Bar Association.

“My legal practice has to be integrated with Lawcus and LawPay in order to be more efficient. As a lawyer, it is crucial that my case management software and payment processing system work together without any issues. I can easily create invoices in Lawcus and receive client payments with LawPay thanks to the connectivity. This decreases the possibility of errors and eliminates the necessity for human data entry. My financial records are accurate and current thanks to the synchronized data, which also helps me save time and effort when it comes to reconciling payments. Additionally, because I can easily track payments, view client balances, and access payment history from within Lawcus, the integration helps me have a consistent workflow. Overall, the integration between Lawcus and LawPay has really enhanced my practice management and freed me up to devote more of my time to supporting my customers rather than handling paperwork.
