The editor has multiple features, a good editorial workflow, it is easy to understand, and works on one-click publish.
One cannot explore all the features of Quintype in a single sitting. The editor requires a little commitment!

Technology partnership with a highly professional team has made it possible to convince other stakeholders including investors the strength of my outlet.
We used it in SouthLive earlier, migrating the site from a Drupal application. 65K stories migrated overnight without any considerable missing. It was a landmark because, the site registered remarkable growth after the migration. What I like most about Quintype is that it is unique for news. And its features are ever increasing.
Sometimes the team by-pass or ignore the the design templates we furnished. Not a big thing, complete control for user design part is welcome.

Must tool for writing stories. Photo Editor is classic. Log in at any time. Can maintain a list of ideas as well as stories. Etc..
Need more Journalists perceptions in CMS. Simplification is essential. Writing pad blocks the thoughts which is affecting stories. Etc..

There are 3 factors that make it a hassle-free choice: 1. A platform team that adds CMS features frequently to benefit publishers without additional cost. 2. Bug-free implementation of customisations required due to nature of business. The base code seems to be intelligently designed for malleability. 3. Good account management team with great communication skills. Half the battle is won when a problem is simply explained and correctly understood.
Works well for websites with modest traffic and lean news cycle. The costs and model could become a constraint when footfalls are high and nature of information displayed critical (for e.g., general news)

We have been using this platform for a year. It is great software for publishers. Fulfils our publishing needs in terms of video, text and photo content. You can also get elements customised as per your requirement. Also, they have a great design team with a good sense of aesthetics.
The backend takes some time to get a hang of, especially the link between Menu-Section-Collection-Story bit. It takes some handholding in the beginning.
