TouchPoint is an Organization Tool for the Church, By the Church

It also has several options for exporting that information as well, which was essential for us in creating directories, email lists, etc.

Pros

Ease of use, detailed people management, easy and customizable exports, children's ministry check-in, mobile access, powerful search feature.

Cons

Only real con is after using the Search Builder, in order to make changes to individual profiles or select groups, it requires using the Tag feature which includes multiple steps.

Very good and getting better all the time!

Reports are not very customizable and sometimes waste space on the page if printed.

Pros

Membership (photos, info that individuals can update themselves, family relationship notes, pastoral notes) Contributions, web-based (can access anywhere) Attendance tracking / ability to enter attendance over smartphone app.

Cons

Lacks full financial suite (gen ledger, accts payable, payroll, etc) Reports could be more customizable and outreach forms too.

Moving from a legacy church membership platform

We are also now able to integrate our retreat registration information into our member records which provides a clearer window on how our membership is engaged.

We like the user friendly interface, the ability to have a mobile reference for our church leadership to review member information, as well as the extensive support library and responsive help desk for specific situations.

Touchpoint's features are way ahead of the competition

Only downside...some parts of the software are overly complicated with the User Interface, so there is a learning curve, especially to some advanced areas.

On the one hand, it was a vast improvement over Servant Keeper, which was the previous church management software we use.

Pros

The fact that they also offer an online giving app is an added bonus. The attendance taking feature is also very convenient.

Cons

It is not at first user-friendly. It is not naturally intuitive, and the amount of time that the company gives in free tutorials is not enough to learn the system. For anything beyond their initial free tutorials, they charge a fairly expensive price for the help you need. We have had the software for almost a year, there are still a number of features that we have not set up.

reports: sometimes you have to dig deep for a report, and event/camp registrations: it works, but I've worked with databases like Avectra designed specifically for crm and event/meeting registrations so in comparison, TP is a little clunky).

Perfect for Smaller Churches

As a small rural church, TouchPoint has helped us better track our guests and make follow-up connections and the mobile app makes taking attendance in our Connection Groups super easy.

Pros

Another benefit is that our Connection Group teachers can take attendance right on the mobile app.

I do wish that texting was integrated into the system rather than having to use a 3rd party service.
