Overall WhipAround is a huge improvement to some of the more archaic methods of fleet management. The interface is a healthy design, user friendly, and excellent at navigating you where you want to be. The product itself offers a vast amount of tools and resources available to you at different levels.
I enjoy the ease of general fleet management. Helps us detect issues that could otherwise go unnoticed.
I don't have much to say about cons, it's more about the usage we personally get out of the product vs the capacity it could provide other companies that operate differently.

Unfortunately app is only actually recording around 50% of inspections... "Known Bug" per whiparound - when I noticed and reported this had started happening they told me this was a "known bug". Been a month or more with no fix or update.

A+ Great App
It’s super easy to use. Anyone can use it. It makes keeping track of a fleet simple and quick to find anything I need.
It takes a little while just to get things figured out but once it’s figured out on the backend it’s super easy.

we tried out several vehicle inspection apps, some were great however not budget friendly. whiparound meet both our needs of being functional and budget friendly.
easy to customize, easy to use for back end users and users

We have people spread out in various geographic locations. WhipAround has been very helpful in gathering and tracking data.
Flexibility and ease of use have been the most desirable aspects of the App.
I haven’t have any complaints as of yet.

Whip Around solved a lot of difficulties with a completely remote workforce in that drivers have no reason not to submit paperwork and payroll on time. Now they cannot submit late and claim that the email was lost. If they can take a picture they can submit their trip sheets. We can design and then arrange inspection cards for any subject quickly and easily in a way that makes performing and completing...
Its ease of use especially for our drivers who are not always equipped with a personal computer.
There are no cons with Whip Around that I can think of.

Paperless has been one of the unexpected bonuses of using this program.
We love the ease of use and how helpful our customer service rep [sensitive content hidden] has been.

The ease of use directly for the drivers created a platform that allows a link to our office that shows the current inspection on the truck.
Sometimes, the camera in the app can be tricky at night because of the flash.

Whip Around is great because it replaces the head ache of paper pretrips. It can be updated with the click of a few buttons and is very customizable to any need your business has in regards to checklist and inspections. The reporting is clean. Its very simple to add vehicles, users, or employees.
I like that Whip Around is completely digital. It has a unique API that can be integrated into our reporting platform, Looker. I like that the software is user friendly. It is very dynamic in that changes can be made in a few minutes vs traditional hard copy inspections which would need to be reprinted or versions become obsolete. The email reporting and the web platform reporting makes it very easy to see if employees are completing their inspections. If there are faults, we can easily identity them to send on to the mechanic. We have been able to integrate it company wide very easily because of how dynamic the software is with adding new users, vehicles, locations, forms, etc.
I would like a existing fault form that can be filled out for vehicles as they are added to the fleet or whip around is integrated. I would also like the ability to customize forms a little more with something such as a multiple photo option. I would also like a Manager version within the application. I would also like to see Whip Around continue to partner with telematics companies.

Improved record keeping of DVIR (electronic), improved depth inspection (photos), improved speed of communication (real-time updates), improved confidence by frontline users (Drivers) that company is adopting technologies that improve their jobs (a building of confident after training)
Template based forms which can be customized to my my needs/specifics.
Each card or inspection area has limit of (5) reminders/items/descriptions... sometimes needing to created additional cards vs. a longer list. (Yet, I know this limiter leads to more intentional/more thorough/higher engaged inspection) Also, some UX feedback on not being able to go to other fields when keyboard is active other than done. (variable size of tablet screens/pop-up keyboard size may be customer end constraint)

we started using the app immediately and as a result breakdowns and roadcalls are down 40% from the previous 6 month period. repairs are scheduledmore efficiently reducing down time and I don't have massive bundles of DVIR slips to sift through or store
I can set reminders to go off on the drivers phones until they have completed their daily inspections, I can go back through the inspections to see who is doing them and who isn't, the app gives me a leader board so I can recognize the drivers that are following new protocols as requested
in order to add new drivers or equipment I need to have it done vs being able to just do it myself and there are no generic reports for rental units

The CSR's at Whip Around are amazing to work with - they check in regularly to make sure everything is okay, they provided and in-person training for free, and always answer questions in a timely manner. They have a chat feature and someone always replies within minutes!
This software is very easy to use, as it can be used on a cell phone, tablet, etc. Our Service Technicians picked up on it very quickly, and it encouraged them to do all pre and post-trip inspections in a timely manner, which helped with our DOT compliance.
There is nothing we don't like about this software. There are even features we don't currently use, but it has so much potential .... I can't say enough about how this software has helped our Service Managers manage inspections, repair, etc.!

Creating Faults to track repairs and being able to assign to mechanic to be signed off on once repaired.
I would like to see some user/driver based forms. ie: Payroll Entry, Time Off Requests, Parts Requests, etc.

This product has revolutionized our business in terms of safety, policy and compliance to local, state and federal laws and regulations. It's so accessible and easy to use, that all of my drivers can get a handle on it after their first use and the admin dashboard that I use gives me all the tools I need to monitor and track compliance, maintenance and inspections.
The customization and ease of use is fantastic and means we can continue to use this platform no matter how big we grow. Customer Service is top notch and features are always being added. You can tell they truly care about their product.
Very few complaints and only one worth mentioning. The integration options do not include the GPS tracking platform we currently use, which prevents WA from being "all-in-one" for us. I suspect that will change in time as more options are added.

Really like the program, keep up the great work!
Overall, the program is great. From a fleet management pov the ability to see the inspection reports, maintenance due and ability to assign work orders for repairs has vastly improved our fleet readiness. The ability to set up reminders for various things like license or medical certification expiration for drivers is a nice feature when they are away from the office.
I wish there was a way to send drivers a text in the reminders section along with the notification through the app. I can send a text and notification for missed inspection through the exception report tab for missed pre-trips but not for reminders. I have had 2 drivers miss seeing the reminder notification from within the app. Adding the text feature to reminders would help provide another way to ensure they don't miss the reminder notification.

This software makes it extremely simple for me to monitor and manage my crews and their fleet on a daily basis. Because I am in the office, I am not on the front line with them daily, but with the help of this software it is like I am , in fact, out there with them because I know as soon as something is wrong. Or right for that matter! They submit to me daily an inspection of their vehicles giving me the piece of mind knowing that they are out there working and traveling safely!
The ability for me to know that my vehicles are maintained and in good condition on a daily basis, without me having to be out there inspecting them myself is great!
At this time there is no issue I have with Whip around and think that they development team is doing an exceptional job!

its a good system to work with . just as you work with it more you where some improvements can made . and tweeks to eleminate the repetetion .
the inspection if used properly are very helpful , the manitenance program is very good. .
need more admin and supervisor training on how to properly use the product so all departments benefit . drivers need more training on conducting inspection and what is safety and what is not . drivers need to be accountable more. on thing i would love to see . if a driver fails a unit on a pre or post trip . it should automatically go to out of service status . and noe should be able to conduct a inspection until repairsare made and signed off by mechanic and place back in service .

My overall experience has been great. Everyone likes using the app and not having to turn in paperwork at the end of the day is a nice for the drivers and nice for the managment.
The most impactful part of Whip Around is having all of the paperwork in one place and not having a papertrail. You can view and analyze data so much quicker. Not only can you view the data quicker, you don't have to spend time going through every submittal because the software flags the documents you need to look at when there is a fault.
There are still little details that need to be added to make the documents easier to use. basically just giving the person that is setting the forms up more options and freedom to customize the forms for their drivers. Every dosument is unique in its own way, so having more options in the form building process is helpful.

The product is backed by a friendly and helpful team makes for winning combination.
So very easy to setup and use. Having the ability to monitor and oversee the entire fleet at once is a great benefit to the company. Drivers find the process really easy and not laborious at all. The maintenance crew are able to respond to faults as they are reported. Creating, editing and changing forms is a breeze.
The fact that it is not currently linked directly to any of the existing fleet management and servicing software.

We use Whip Around for our fleet of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation vehicles. We need to be in compliance with state and federal regulations on par with ambulances. Whip Around keeps our vehicles properly inspected by drivers, and stocked with all the required equipment at all times.
The ability to track the needs of our drivers without trying to track a flood of emails was a huge draw. The new dashboard tells us everything that needs to be addressed at a glance, every day.
We learned through trial and error that organizing our vehicles by their fleet number made tracking easiest. There is a slight, but manageable learning curve. I suggest creating a "Test Car" profile first and looking over what the vehicle profiles ask for. The more information you put in, the more effective the software becomes.

It has been good overall. I use it in a basic capacity.
It is very intuitive. From the start I was able to use it with very little to no instruction.
There can be a difference between the view of an account when comparing it to the drivers displayed info. Example: I may see inconsistencies with post trip forms being completed. When the driver is asked about it they are able to quickly pull up their completed post trips.

Overall, its wonderful for what we use. Customer service is fantastic and they truly care.
Its very easy to use. Whip Around loaded the assets for us and made the transition from paper DVIR's to digital a breeze. They understand if its hard to navigate, it wont be used.
Some features like maintenance had to be purchased to get the inspection portion. We only need it for DVIR inspections. Also, integrating a few other options seems to be well heard however not implemented. Feedback was great that other large end users requested the same adjustments, but nothing really happened.
