The tool has been great, it integrates well with my Wordpress site (which is optional because you this actually could be used as your artist's website) and their customer service has been top notch.
This software is so needed in the Arts industry. I've yet to find anything else that allows artists to organize their artwork, maintain inventory control, display a portfolio and provide reporting and automated tear sheets like this tool can do. The part I like best is that I've been able to stop duplicating my work by keeping inventory and posting images to a portfolio separately. With the website integration, this allows me to cut down my administrative workload and allow me to get back to making art.
This tool came with more functionality than I had hoped for, so at this point, I'm not lacking anything.

Within under a year this database has truly advanced our museum database systems to another level. We are able to easily track and document all of our pieces on any laptop, ipad, or phone as needed. We can quickly create rooms to share with visiting scholars, and on campus professors which has vastly increased our ability to work collaboratively with our NMSU campus and outside. As we continue to use the software, I am certain that we will continue to find new and innovative ways in which the system provides quick and purposeful solutions to many of the issues we had with our older previous database.
The software is extremely easy to use and intuitive. The software seamlessly transferred our previous museum database information into the new software and did so in a way that provided ample space for customization where needed. The system provides easy access for searching and documenting works, and provides really detailed information regarding file uploads, artwork costs and receipts, and managing communications with artists and contacts.
I think there are a few kinks that get worked through when dealing with a collecting museum that does not sell artwork to the public, and instead focuses on the tracking and documentation of artwork in-house. Some of the tools are geared towards that specific goal, and we've worked with the team to customize and meet the goals of our own museum. The team has been so helpful in working around some of these areas, and working with us to implement some of the suggestions that we have come up with as a team.

I am old-school: I come from the middle of the last century when everything had a paper manual. In fact, in the 1980s I helped write an early computer manual. Given my venerable seniority, I deeply miss paper manuals. I know no one makes them anymore, and no one else misses them. That being said, the Artwork Archive software is so easy to use, and the Artwork Archive team responds so fast to questions that I can't complain about them. I'm just letting you know that if you're a dinosaur from the last century, you can work well with this software. I do. My zippy and hip young assistant thinks it's good too.

Absolutely wonderful. Beyond the fact that the software already does so much, they do something really crazy: they LISTEN to their customers. If there is something you would like to see the software do, they take you seriously. And they are improving the product constantly, adding new features and making it more robust by the year. I cannot brag on them enough for how they handle working with their customers.
Artwork Archive helps me on a daily basis. It tracks not only all of my artwork, but links sold works to clients, exhibited works to locations, and tracks collections, reproduction runs, prints, and even allows me to track my income and expenses. It has a contact module for all of my clients and VIPs and is hands down an absolute time-saver for the business side of my art practice. They've even added the ability to create private viewing rooms for clients, which are shareable with a link that allows them to view works without having to put them out on a public page (but they have a public page option as well).
There are always things I'd like to see software I use do that it doesn't, but Artwork Archive has very few of these. If you're looking for a robust calendar, it doesn't really have that, but it does have the ability to set scheduling reminders, and you can easily export those reminders to Google Calendar or Outlook or iCal.

The real true benefit of it is the amazing customer support, and the continual development of new features based on feedback from us, the users and customers.
My primary purpose was to create a visual database of all my work, and Artwork Archive is hands down the absolutely best solution anywhere. The ease of uploading work and the detailed notes for each piece, etc. This allows for so much more detail with each piece, then when I need to create an inventory list, all it takes is a few quick clicks to have a PDF with all the pertinent information, including an image. This feature alone has saved me hours on the computer. As a glass artist, I also love that I can create custom medium categories, and have been able to adapt the reproductions and editions module to work with the production pieces that are not completely one-of-a-kind artwork.
The only cons I have experienced have been my own lack of utilizing some of the new features, like the editions and reproductions, schedule and tasks, and client management - all features that were added after I began using it. My only real regret is that I didn't start using it the moment it was available on the market!

I had spent years looking for a system to help organize my art business. Initially, all I wanted was a program to help keep track of my artwork. Finding a way to keep track of the data for each piece seemed impossible. I started using Artwork Archive in 2015 and since then they have constantly added additional features that have continued to improve their product. Also they have amazing customer service.
Artwork Archive has every feature I need for organizing the administrative side of my art practice. It is very easy to use and I can track the location and sales of every piece of art . I love that I have my collector database and art database in one spot and that it is very easy to attach a sold piece to its collector. Every sale is automatically logged so you can keep track of inventory, relationship...
There really isn't anything I would want to change at this time. They keep adding elements that I didn't think I needed before.

Artwork Archive was recommended by an art marketing guru during an on-line class and I'm forever grateful. Initially I liked it because it affirmed my sense of myself as a professional artist, helping me organize my inventory and showing me how far I'd come. But it didn't take long to see all the other benefits. It's easy to use. It's super easy to search. It's flexible. Customer service is quick to respond and helpful with your specific needs. When I've brought inventory sheets with me as I dropped art at a gallery, the gallerist wished every artist they worked with were as organized. When the invoice comes every year I'm happy to pay it - it always feels like a great bargain.
Along the way I've occasionally found certain things awkward (can't remember right now), but then I'd suggest a change to the Artwork Archive crew and they usually thought the suggestions was valid and actually remedied the problem! Your questions or issues don't drop into a void - real people respond quickly and helpfully.

I use Artwork Archive almost daily to look up old works, to provides descriptions for social media, buyers or my website. I don't think I've ever had a tech glitch using it.
Easy to use, flawless to maintain. Step by step uploads. Descriptions of artwork can be easily changed as it is framed or prices raised. Did I mention easy to use??? It also provides a permanent inventory of my art, which is why I bought it initially, but this program does so much more than that list.
I don't use the bookkeeping functions. Maybe someday.

Artwork Archive is a great way to stay organized and keep all my information in one central place. I'm still learning about all the things I can do on the site, and the blog articles are always helpful in growing as an artist. I can easily find addresses, contact number and review what a client has previously purchased, including date, inventory number and price paid.
Sometimes the order it puts my artwork in does not make sense to me.

We needed a way for our constituents to see the scope of public art in the community. Artwork Archive allowed us to showcase that public art in a compelling, customizable way.
Ease of use, flexibility, and customization to our needs. Integration with the look and feel of our online promotion of local public art was seamless.
Some of the data fields are relevant to our needs. Would be nice if there were some way to hide those fields in the form view.

I think they are helpful cooperative and seem to solve any problems that their vendors have. I think the software works beautifully and solves my problems
It help me organize my entire inventory system so that I know where everything is and can easily reach it as I work with clients renting artwork on a daily basis.

I highly recommend this database and the company as a whole. Their customer service is impeccable!
I love how easy it is to add files on the fly! It’s cloud-based. So, I can access it on any of my devices. I use it in collaboration with the many stakeholders who work on the hospital’s art program with me. It’s also very easy to learn to use, as opposed to many of the databases I’ve been exposed to before.
I wish I could add more than ten photos, but there are plenty of workarounds that do allow me to store additional files elsewhere within the artwork’s profile page.

Excellent - great support and easy to use
This platform is an excellent way to transform your artistic practice - keeping track of all your work, ensuring consistent pricing across all platforms and automatic updates your website. All the functionality of the leading platforms is available at a fraction of the cost and the website integration although limited reduces the time and effort of maintaining different platforms.

My experience with Artwork Archive has been overwhelmingly positive. The customer service is unbeatable! They are attentive, helpful, and friendly. They are dedicated to giving you the smoothest and least complicated experience. With their prompt responses, they were able to work with me to solve multiple problems that I was having, and even offer the option to work things out over the phone if it makes more sense. Artwork Archive puts in a team effort to make everything you need a top priority.
With their batch upload option, Artwork Archive makes it simple to upload a large quantity of information just by filling out a spreadsheet. Something that initially would have taken hours has been reduced to 1/10th of that time. Once uploaded, the website is easy to navigate and acts as an efficient way to keep inventory of all your pieces of art.
When using the batch upload function there is only the option to upload one picture onto the spreadsheet. Each additional picture must be uploaded manually on the website. Although, after it is online, it becomes easy to add multiple pictures for each piece of art.
It was our pleasure to be of help! Everyone on the team is expected to do customer support every day, and working with our customers is one of the most gratifying parts of my day. I'll take your feedback about uploading multiple images in the import we conduct to the team. Very helpful.

Great experience. Has changed how I work -- for the better!
I have found Artwork Archive easy to use. It's gotten me organized in no time. Made my life much easier while not being hard to get up to speed using it. There's still much more to utilize, so I look forward to becoming even better organized in the future.

I am waiting for my web designer to show me a draft of the embedded code into the new webpages. I feel once I have seen how your system looks in this embedded format I will have more feedback. Send this survey out next yeat!
The ease of being able to look up a piece in the collection on my phone, and the sublocations, so I have a more detailed sense of the art works location.
So far, I don't like the map. It needs to be able to zoom in. Also, I would like the labels to pull more information.

We’re actively selling some of our artworks so it’s helpful to have a system of tracking sales along with auction house needs. It's a bonus to know I'll always have this information accessible.
My wife and I needed a simple solution for managing our growing art collection. Artwork Archive is just that. My art advisor is able to log in and assist me with managing my estate. It’s great to have important financial, insurance, and provenance information at our fingertips. I especially enjoy the reports feature used to create inventory lists for various parts of my estate whether collectibles, antiques or art. It’s easy to include details like insurance values, conditions and sales information.

Very good so far!
It is easy to use and has very good tools.
It would be fantastic that the software would allow the user to add a name identifying the images that can be uploaded in each piece. If I am working with a copy or reproduction I would like to add also the image of the original as a reference, but currently is not possible to make a distinction between them in the same record. It would be great to work with this software also in an app.
Thank you Marcela for the review! I'm glad you took the time because we actually do have a way for you to track the original name of the image and details. You have a few options: You can log that information under the Additional Files tab. It's a great place to store all types of documents, including images. And the original name of the image (what was uploaded) is accessible on the piece record. Scroll down to Original Image Files. Click Actions and if you download or Copy the URLboth will provide you with the original image name of what was uploaded into the account. Hope that all helps! I've also shared your feedback with the team since we take user feedback very seriously and are always looking for ways to integrate it into the platform.

Keeping track of our inventory and photo archive was difficult, but with this product it has become SOOO helpful.
Ease of use. The process of getting the items into the software is easy. It' takes time to get it right, but when it's all there it's so great to be able to see everything and run reports
