SCREENish is a time tracker for teams whose work happens on computers you never sit at. Every ten minutes of tracked time has a screenshot and an activity level behind it, so a work log shows you what was done and not just how many hours were logged.

Who is working

The desktop app can check that the person at the keyboard is the one you hired. It compares the camera image with a photo you approved earlier and uses liveness detection, so a printed photo or a replayed video will not pass. You see a match rate for every hour next to the screenshots. The employee has to accept the request in their own dashboard first, separately for each employer, and can withdraw later. Activity Review looks for auto-clickers, mouse jigglers, auto-typers and similar tools. It shows you the context too, for example a remote desktop session, and leaves the decision to you.

Attendance

Team Overview has a weekly grid with the time each person started and finished every day. Set working hours for the team or for one employee and every day gets marked as on time, late, left early or absent, with the tracked total next to the hours you expected. Public holidays for 251 countries are already in. If someone is on leave the day shows as leave rather than absent. The monthly attendance and overtime report uses the same rules.

Distractions

You choose which sites and apps count as distracting, from our categories or your own list. We measure the time spent in them on the server and show it per employee with a breakdown by site, and a summary email goes out every Monday. Employees see their own numbers and can appeal an entry. Nothing pops up on their screen.

Client invoicing

Add your clients with an hourly rate and make invoices from the tracked hours. Each invoice gets its own web page and a PDF, an access code if you want one, a PayPal button, payment reminders and an automatic weekly, fortnightly or monthly schedule. Hours that were invoiced once are marked, so they cannot be billed again.

Integrations

A REST API with keys and webhooks, calendar and CSV feeds, a timesheet export for QuickBooks Time, daily and weekly summaries in Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and Google Chat, and connectors that push approved time to Jira, ClickUp and Trello. The documentation is at screenish.com/developers.

Privacy

We never log keystrokes. Activity levels are counts only. Smart blur finds and hides passwords and personal data in screenshots before they are stored, or you can blur the whole screen. Employees can delete their own screenshots and the slot stays marked as deleted. Monitoring options are set per project, consent is recorded, and accounts can use two factor authentication.

Payroll and the team

Approve work logs by hand, in bulk or by a rule. Hourly rates, rate changes that apply back in time, premium hours for nights and weekends, weekly limits, CSV and XLS exports and scheduled email reports. Managers you delegate to get their own login, and a client can get a read-only view of one project. On the first login a short setup creates the projects and sends the invitations for you.

Apps

Desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, a Chrome extension for Chromebooks, and phone apps for iPhone and Android that track time per project with screenshots. A separate Android app adds GPS tracking for field staff. Work done offline is stored and sent when the connection comes back.

Team Huddle

Calls, chat, screen sharing and file transfer between teammates. Peer to peer, never recorded, no extra cost.
