Userlane is a software adoption platform for healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, and pharma. It combines two integrated capabilities, Application Intelligence and Contextual Assistance, in a closed loop: see where software and AI create friction, help people get work done, and prove the investment paid off.

Application Intelligence provides portfolio-level visibility into how employees use software across the organization. App Discovery identifies which applications are in use and how frequently. HEART analytics measure adoption across five dimensions, surfacing where users get stuck and what that friction costs. Portfolio Overview gives IT, finance, and operations leaders a single dashboard covering the entire software estate, including AI tools like Microsoft Copilot, so license and investment decisions are based on real usage data.

Contextual Assistance delivers help inside any web-based application at the moment it is needed. Workflow Guidance helps employees through compliance-critical workflows, the Userlane Assistant connects users to knowledge base articles, support resources, and process documentation without leaving the application. The Engagement Suite enables targeted in-app announcements, surveys, and communications. All assistance content is measurable: organizations track which content is used, whether it resolves the issue, and how adoption changes over time.

Key technical specs: Userlane works across any web-based application with no code changes to the target system. Deployment typically takes weeks. The platform supports SSO integration, role-based access controls, and multi-environment management. Data-residency options include EU, US and UK hosting. Userlane holds ISO 27001 certification, and is compliant with HITRUST, NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit compliance.

Userlane is independent and vendor-neutral. Unlike platforms owned by enterprise software vendors, Userlane works across any application portfolio without platform bias.
