Clay overview

What is Clay?

Clay is a financial and accounting management platform designed to centralize and automate financial operations for businesses and their accounting professionals. The platform serves as a collaborative hub that connects business owners and accountants on a unified system with real-time financial data. It addresses challenges associated with manual spreadsheet management, bank reconciliation discrepancies and fragmented financial information by consolidating all records into a single, organized workspace.

The platform features automated bank reconciliation as its foundational capability. Clay connects directly to various Chilean banks through secure API integrations, automatically retrieving bank transactions, account balances and electronic tax documents under a two hour service level agreement. Cassius, an intelligent matching engine, automates a large portion of reconciliation tasks by explaining and categorizing incoming and outgoing transactions. The system provides cash flow projections extending twelve months ahead, collections management and client and supplier relationship tools. Integrated invoice generation with the tax authority and a dashboard displaying key performance indicators enable streamlined financial monitoring.

Clay’s accounting module automates journal entry creation and generates detailed financial reports including eight column balance sheets, income statements and accounting ledgers. Tax management tools propose filings for Form twenty nine and Form twenty two and include an auditor for purchase and sales registries. The platform supports integration with enterprise resource planning systems, allowing reconciled data to flow directly into existing accounting workflows.

Native integrations span banking institutions, invoicing and professional fee systems, human resources platforms, collections tools, cryptocurrency services and payment collection solutions. The API Bancaria & SII product offers standalone access to bank movement queries, balance information and electronic tax document retrieval with dedicated technical support. All connections adhere to security protocols and provide data formatted for seamless system integration. Personalized support services, provided by a dedicated team, assist with implementation questions and operational issues to maintain accurate financial records. An embedded artificial intelligence assistant, GRAC IA, offers expert guidance within the application’s chat interface and escalates inquiries to human support when needed.
