What is PrimeRx?

PrimeRx is a pharmacy management software system developed by Micro Merchant Systems that enables pharmacies to connect seamlessly with third-party vendors and service providers. The platform supports multiple pharmacy settings including retail pharmacies, specialty pharmacies, long-term care facilities, health systems, mail order operations, compounding pharmacies, three hundred forty B entities and physician office pharmacies. Core functionality resides in a single workflow environment through which users access external solutions without leaving the primary interface.

The integration ecosystem spans over twenty distinct operational categories. In automation and robotics, the system connects with solutions from Parata, ScriptPro, RxSafe, KirbyLester and Synergy Medical to manage dispensing, packaging and workflow tasks. Electronic health record platforms such as Surescripts, QuickMAR, Therap Services and CaraSolva facilitate medication administration record management and data exchange with long-term care facilities. Communication capabilities include interactive voice response integrations from Lumistry, EnlivenHealth, OmniSYS and MedTel Communications. Prescription processing connections with Surescripts for electronic prescribing, MedPro Systems for prescriber verification and CoverMyMeds for prior authorization support core dispensing operations. Point of sale functionality supports payment devices and gateways from WorldPay, GlobalPayments and Solutran and includes mobile payment options with ApplePay. Feature categories also include adherence tools, regulatory compliance integrations, medication affordability checks and specialty pharmacy support.

PrimeRx maintains partnerships with switching networks such as Change Healthcare, RelayHealth and RxLinc for real-time claims transmission. Integration with group purchasing organizations including Independent Pharmacy Cooperative, Good Neighbor Pharmacy and American Associated Pharmacies provides access to negotiated purchasing programs. Courier and delivery service connections with Scriptdrop and Rx2Go facilitate last-mile prescription delivery coordination. Compounding operations integrate with LDN Worldwide for workflow automation and Pharmacy Innovations for specialty medication inventory access. Drug reference integration with Elsevier Clinical Pharmacology offers access to medication monographs and patient education materials in multiple languages. Patient engagement tools from VucaHealth and Redi Health enable QR-code-based information access and manufacturer-sponsored support programs.

Connectivity extends to operational and management applications such as QuickBooks for accounting, Jotform for custom form creation and VFI Statement Processing for billing and collections. Application programming interface connectivity supports data exchange between PrimeRx and external systems to enable customized workflows and automated data synchronization across a pharmacy technology infrastructure. Seamless integration within a unified platform reduces manual data entry and preserves continuity of core workflows.
