Arcoro - BirdDog HR

We have had a horrible time with Arcoro from the beginning. We were sold a service that was not available for us and forced to purchase more features. Onboarding went well but since then Customer service has been horrible. You have to email at least 2 times to get a response and they rarely have the answers you are looking for. I have used multiple ATS and HRIS systems and have never experienced a product or support team like this.

Pros

Price point, but now wish we spent a little more to have a working platform and support.

Cons

Customer Support and the product itself. The product features rarely work and are not user friendly in the slightest.

Good company, nice people, sometimes challenging to get them to change..small company, develops slow

Pros

Affordable and pretty easy to use. The ATS is a good product that is affordable and helps us source more easily especially for young professionals.

Cons

Challenging to get change to occur at times and slow development. Software at this point is still a little clunky to navigate because of the navigation between the multiple modules as it is currently designed. BDHR has a plan to clean this up, looking forward to it.

Keep Looking for a Better Solution

Look at other options. There are so many out there, many that are more integrated with an HRMS and that have responsive customer service. Consider your candidate experience as well and you'll find a better solution.

Pros

*It's geared to my industry (Construction). *It's also used by several others in my industry which can help people in our industry find postings for open jobs. *They also manage some of the free boards that are specific to the construction industry. *The system does make it easy for multiple people to be informed when an application is completed.

Cons

*The user experience leaves a great deal to be desired. Both for applicants and recruiters. When I used this system, I often wondered how many people abandoned the application mid-way through the process. (I was hired using this system and I was certainly not impressed by the ATS.) *The system is not very intuitive. *The system tries to rate candidates for you but we found the criteria used to be very poor. The 5-star applicants were often very poor candidates and the low scoring candidates were often a better fit. *Emails informing you of new applications are sent only once per day rather than as they happen. *When there were concerns, customer service rarely had solutions. They are not terribly responsive (except in the last few days before your contract is up for renewal).

Okay product but horrible customer service.

The customer service and support just makes this company downright terrible. If you could get help in a timely manner it would be decent. However, we have had the same issues occur time and time again and it still takes weeks to get a resolution.

Pros

The applicant tracking software is the only good portion of the software.

Cons

Absolutely the worst HR software company out there. We have been utilizing arcoro for a little over two years now. In that time frame we have had countless issues with the software and it takes well over a month to get most issues resolved. The customer support it terrible and when you try to take the concerns to their supervisors, you just get met with more frustrations. We have a designated account rep who cannot help with anything and is out of the office most of the time. I would not recommend this software especially for the cost as well. Many other great options out there.

Arcoro - Moving from paper to electronic has never been easier.

The relationship with Arcoro has been outstanding. Everyone from sales through Customer Service has been FANTASTIC. They have always been courteous and prompt whenever we have questions. I am one happy user!

Pros

To have a system that offers all the features and benefits for the price is one of the strengths of Arcoro. The software is extremely intuitive and easy for anyone to use. We have paid for the system with the paper we are not using alone.

Cons

Is it possible to be in love with a product and not have one thing to complain about? Try Arcoro for yourself and you will see why I do not see or have complaints about this package.

Applicant tracking system that saves time & money!

Great overall system. Meets all of the Government contracting requirements. BirdDog actually pushes out updates to ensure we are compliant. Great people, great product. Customizable system is great, and allows us to use their system in different ways than initially intended.

Pros

The Customer Service at BirdDog is truly second to none. Customer Service reps are knowledgeable, friendly, and will help with whatever your needs are. They even will make enhancement recommendations on your behalf. While we were implementing the system, I made suggestions for things I wanted to see in the system as future enhancements. They implemented them very quickly! They actually ask for feedback and are always looking to improve their product. While the product isn't perfect, a company who is interested in fine tuning and keeping the customer happy is a welcome change. (We recently left a much bigger, much more expensive product that never quite worked right, and there was no desire to help us fix it.)

Cons

There very little documentation, because of how customizable the system is, however, Customer Service will gladly walk you through any issues.

Price increases and customer service

We’ve used this system for 2 1/2 years we’ve had price increases ever year In 2020 we paid $2,300 yearly 30 employees In 2021 we paid $5,040 yearly 35 employees In 2022 they’re charging $6,048 for the year 35 employees (same amount) Customer service at ExakTime (Arcoro) is terrible. We have payroll today and been trying to reach someone for 4 hrs with there automated answering system and email. No returned phone calls or responses. Do not recommend ExakTime for payroll it’s not worth the money and they leave you hanging with customer service.

Pros

Nothing at all. Customer service is terrible

Cons

Price increases. Everything customer service is terrible when you need the the most.

Good software for the price; still needs a little work

Pros

Customer Service, layout for candidate is easy with the drag and drop in your resume feature. Honestly, that's all I can say so for about the pros.

Cons

No SOP to try and troubleshoot or learn features on your own; I always have to email an account rep to clarify or show me how to use a feature. Talent feature is very time consuming, as you have to load everything manually into their system and there have been several bugs and glitches.

Recruiting software that is for too difficult for others to easily use.

Very little. I don't like the software at all. It is too difficult and time consuming to manage.

Pros

Once a job is entered/posted, it is easy to repost it to other locations if needed. It is value priced so that is the reason my company uses it.

Cons

Difficult for the site managers to use. It is a program built for recruiters - not the common manager. BirdDogHR will do updates that will mess up what you have established such as an application but you don't know until applicants say something. It is cumbersome and not at all easy to navigate.

Good product for the price!

Pros

This is a good product for the price, it has lots of features and is user friendly. The added integration of free job boards was one of the main reasons we selected the product and have had good results so far. Customer service is usually very fast and helpful.

Cons

Not enough customization when needed. There are many times when we need a small process changed or need another option for our users but they are unable to accommodate. The dashboard and custom reporting need more work to be fully functional and customizable, errors pop up frequently or results are returned incorrectly.

Good customer service when needed.

Pros

I like the recruiting portion to post jobs with ease when needed. But rarely needed for the price of the software. If we could do a per use price, it would be something we would like.

Cons

Features are not needed for our company and the price is way too high for the needs we have.

Overall, over the past year, my experience with BirdDog has been a positive one but you can tell that they are a young company and many of their modules are still in development while being operational at the same time.

Pros

Good pricing even with a bundle of coursework provided. Easy to use Making updates regularly

Cons

They are young company and new to the idea of converting a company from an existing LMS to their LMS. Most of their LMS customers so far are new to having a LMS.

Pros

It's user friendly and it takes very little time to learn the basics and be efficient in using it, reports and performance monitoring is great, also the fact that employees now can upload their information themselves is really great.

Cons

From a small organization's perspective this product's functionalities has it all but pricing might make you think twice.

i really like how easy the system is to you. Support team did an excellent presentation.

Pros

system is super easy to navigate. multiple managers can have log ins. Employees can write there evaluations. reviews that match with job descriptions. employees have log ins so that they can monitor. The ability to give positive comments outside the review process for recognizing an employee for doing a great job and there manager can see it also.

Cons

the cost is steep. there was nothing else that stood out in my mind that would have been a Con. This is very user friendly.

BirdDog pays particular attention to our company's industry: construction. There is good value for the features and capabilities of the product, and they have a great sales and support team.

Cons

BirdDogHR is easy to learn yourself and train others on how to use. Does most everything we need it to do.

Cons

Requiring a minimum response length is a deterrent.
