Pros and cons

I love how integrated it is how easy it is to use and give praise to team members. I like the app, it's very simple and intuitive.
Its user-friendly interface, thoughtful features, and seamless integration into our workflow have made recognizing colleagues a delightful experience.
This is such an easy, customer friendly platform to use. Our team of both Leaders and front-line staff love the ease of use and the ability to recognize each other.
Product selection seems odd when I'm looking for something specific.
There are no ways to redeem bravos, there is a catalog for points that do not apply.
Pricing and limited amount of points that were given for us to recognize others.

Great Platform for Recognition

Reviewed a month ago

Overall, my experience with Workhuman has been excellent. Recently, I ordered an item through the platform but decided to cancel it after seeing some negative reviews. I called within a few hours, and Workhuman promptly assisted me in canceling the order and refunded the points without any hassle. This experience reinforced my belief that it's a fantastic platform.

Pros

It's an excellent platform for recognizing others, and I really enjoy using it. It truly encourages team members to appreciate one another in a fresh way and collaborate more effectively.

Cons

Previously, I encountered some limitations on the number of products available, and I also noticed that some items seemed overpriced when converted into points compared to their actual market value.

Great tool for recognition

Reviewed 2 months ago

I and my collègues use workhuman for to promote consistent, frequent, timely, and meaningful appreciation of contributions and achievements. We called ENERGIZE on workhuman platform. This tool empowers our people to acknowledge one another for demonstrating our beliefs, and strengthen our culture of recognition and appreciation at bp. Life events of employee can see everybody and congratulate through workhuman.

Pros

We value our collègues by recognizing, reinforcing and rewarding the behaviours by using Workhuman easily. This is flexible tool, and all employees can see theirs and others success, add their comments. Very easy, transparent tool.

Cons

I am using couple years and no special comment on this section, maybe more flexibility will be fine.

Recognizing a Colleague goes a LONG Way to Increasing Job Satisfaction

Reviewed 2 months ago

Very good - I have been able to donate points to individuals in need as well as have gifts forwarded to friends. It is fantastic and MUCH APPRECIATED. It really makes my day when I receive a BRAVO recognition as well as I enjoy sending them to deserving individuals.

Pros

Recognition is important for a job well done and having a tool that not only allows for verbal feedback, but a small monetary acknowledgement is fantastic.

Cons

I believe individuals should NOT only supply verbal feedback and recognition but also monetary too. Sometimes - only feedback is supplied and if that were the case an email would suffice, and I would not need to use the system.

My Experience with Workhuman

Reviewed 2 months ago

My overall experience with Workhuman is Amazing. It really helps me to connect with people and experience job satisfaction by making the employees valued.

Pros

It enhances employee recognition and engagement. This helps us to foster a positive work culture by enabling peer-to-peer recognition, performance feedback, and rewards. It aims to boost morale and align individual contributions with organizational goals.

Cons

There's a risk that recognition may not be distributed fairly, potentially leading to feelings of favoritism or unfairness if some employees receive more recognition than others.

Applause is a key part of our company culture

Reviewed 2 months ago

We love it! It's an imperative part of our One Autodesk culture!

Pros

The culture of Applause at our company is critical to mutual recognition and teamwork. We love being able to express gratitude and appreciation aligned with our company values through Applause. Our teams love getting modest monetary rewards through the Applause program that they can spend on fun items. We also like using these points of recognition in our mid year and annual reviews.

Cons

Choice of gift cards or rewards are limited at times. We would like to see more options for vendors to use gift cards at. Maybe a general Visa/MasterCard gift card option so people have the freedom to choose what they want.

Exposure with WorkHuman

Reviewed 2 months ago

Its a good platform to enhance the skills of the employees. Great exposure.

Pros

The kind of exposure and the enhancement, empowers the skillset of the employees.

Cons

Identifying key weaknesses and challenges at workhuman for enhancement. One of the identified weaknesses at the workhuman is the lack of diversity and inclusion initiatives, leading to potential inclusion issues within the organization. Employee recognition and rewards systems are also not effectively implemented, affecting motivation and engagement levels.

Great Platform for Employee Recognition and Engagement

Reviewed 3 months ago

Overall, my experience with Workhuman has been very positive. The platform has significantly boosted employee morale and engagement within our organization. The ability to recognize and reward employees in a meaningful way has led to increased job satisfaction and productivity. The customer support team is responsive and helpful, ensuring that any issues are resolved promptly. I highly recommend Workhuman to any company looking to enhance their employee recognition and engagement strategies.

Pros

Workhuman provides a comprehensive platform for employee recognition and engagement that truly enhances workplace culture. The peer-to-peer recognition feature allows employees to appreciate each other's efforts, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. The software's intuitive interface makes it easy to use, and the variety of reward options keeps the recognition meaningful and personalized. The real-time feedback and social recognition features help build a sense of community and belonging among team members.

Cons

One area where Workhuman could improve is the customization options for the recognition programs. While the platform offers many predefined templates and options, more flexibility in tailoring the programs to fit specific company cultures or unique team dynamics would be beneficial. Additionally, the integration with other HR systems can sometimes be cumbersome, requiring additional support and effort to ensure seamless operation

Workhuman Review

Reviewed 3 months ago
Pros

I love the ability to provide employee recognition - it is a great feature that the company affords us to give peer to peer recognition. The size of the rewards catalog and being able to search for items based on points balance - that is a very nice feature.

Cons

Very minor detail, but it would be nice to know up front certain reward gifts have restrictions on cashing in before they hit the cart, for example gifts that may only be redeemed on physical goods and not on gift cards and not finding out until after it hits one's cart / going thru check-out process but again this is small suggestion. Overall check-out / redemption process though is very smooth!

Easy to use system for employee incentives

Reviewed 3 months ago

Very positive- it gives me the tools I need to recognize peers for work above and beyond their role.

Pros

It's very simple to find coworkers in the tool and then locate an appropriate award tier to nominate them for. Transparent feedback is received when their award is acted upon which keeps you apprised on it's status.

Cons

I wish the service award could be converted into a eCard because personally I picked something for my 10 year anniversary reward that ended up being not as expected.

An Active User of the Shoutout Program

Reviewed 3 months ago

My overall experience has been positive as I usually browse the store almost daily and recognize people weekly. Everything I've purchased from the store has been received timely and all intact.

Pros

What I like most is how easy it is to recognize colleagues and employees for jobs well done. Also when searching the site for products the headers make finding things very simple. I also enjoy the recommendations I find great stuff.

Cons

The thing I least like are some common items aren't available like Starbucks gift cards and things of that nature. Also sometimes searching for items can be difficult if they don't quite fit a specific category, for example it's not easy to find external hard drives and other computer parts and things like that.

An excellent tool to recognize a coworker!

Reviewed 3 months ago

Since I joined my actual company, I have used Workhuman as a weekly tool to express gratitude whenever I feel the need to express it. It's a tool that motivates people to continue doing their job the best way possible. I have never experienced a failure in this platform, I think it works very well. And the initial questions that orientate to give the award are a good step to think about what exactly you want to recognize. For me, every company should use this platform.

Pros

I like the most that it's a platform where you can express words of gratitude to other coworkers with the help of an autocorrect so that the message is written in the best possible way. Sometimes is hard to say thanks face to face so this is a great help, to use the correct words. From my experience, your coworkers really appreciate this kind of recognitions.

Cons

I understand that everything needs to be reviewed by a manager or a supervisor, but sometimes, from my experience... for instance, you place an award of 800 points because the coworker really deserves it, and the supervisor changes it to 300 points, for some internal politics inside the company. So that can demotivate the people to use the platform.

"An amazing platform for employee recognition."

Reviewed 4 months ago
Pros

Sure, here's a positive review for Workhuman: > "Workhuman is a game-changer in the realm of employee recognition and engagement. The platform's innovative approach to fostering a positive work environment is truly commendable. The 'Rewards Points' system is a standout feature, allowing employees to recognize their colleagues' efforts and milestones, thereby creating a culture of gratitude and value....

Cons

Reward Variety: While the rewards offered are generally appreciated, expanding the variety of rewards could cater to a broader range of preferences.

Poor Recognition Platform

Reviewed 4 months ago

There are still many folks who work in the office at Belden who would much rather have spot awards for outstanding achievements, trophies for 20+ year anniversary awards, or t-shirts for doing something well. Those who made the decision to use Bravo do not work at any of our offices and did it to cut costs, simple as that. When the leaders and managers do not use Bravo to regularly reward people, it is telling that they, too, do not believe it is a meaningful and useful mode to recognize the job well done. There is very little to value of getting a minimum of $30 for a project that took me 2 months to do just to buy something from the marketplace that is barely worth $20. To me, it is a bit disingenuous and does not encourage me to work any harder than I do.

Pros

It's easy to globally connect with those and see what others at Belden are doing. If used well, it has the potential for others to feel better connected as an organization and recognize people who truly go above and beyond at Belden.

Cons

There are many things. The cash equivalent for the award is not equivalent to market value in the marketplace. For instance, I could buy a pair of iPads on Amazon for $100 but the Bravo marketplace would need at least $125 in Bravo points. Ultimately this gives employees the impressions that 1) Belden simply wanted to cut costs with recognizing employees by using a program no one would use 2) Give out points that no one would use given the discrepancy in value 3) Not have a desire to authentically reward employees.

Pretty great, but not perfect.

Reviewed 4 months ago

My team didn't have anything like Workhuman before it was brought in, so it's very popular, and I always hugely appreciate a meaningful reward for my work. The ecards have been absolutely brilliant for either bringing big purchases into easy reach or making some discretionary treat justifiable, and it always feels good to see a nomination notification. However, the selection of ecard providers seems to be narrowing in Ireland and that has damaged confidence in the program, people do find themselves wondering if they should use their points ASAP in case a vendor won't be available next time they check. The loss of some, notably Argos, without replacement, makes the points far less versatile too.

Pros

The user interface is generally good, and it's a clear, valuable reward for employee performance rather than an empty gesture. It makes a big difference to be able to select for myself what I put my rewards towards, and the ecards are brilliant for taking the edge off a pricey hotel or some really useful household goods that unexpectedly need to be replaced. Being able to select gift cards from other countries for online shopping is great too. Probably the best perk in my workplace, and it's a big deal to receive a nomination.

Cons

The Irish gift card catalogue selection is notably narrower than other territories (such as UK or France) and seems to be getting narrower all the time. This means that when Argos (a handy catch all) pulled out of the Irish market, Appreciate vouchers became far, far less useful to us. I recently wanted to use my points for a hair straightener - the only two options for me to use them available were way, way overpriced and one would have required me to wait for vouchers by post and then go to a store, which just wasn't practical.

Acceptable

Reviewed 4 months ago

It has been an acceptable experience for our organization - we find great fulfillment in the platform for recognizing folks who offer extraordinary service to our consumers.

Pros

The ability for team members to recognize each other is a huge win, and results in some really meaningful teambuilding. It's wonderful to see the ways colleagues support and recognize one another. The rewards points are a nice perk that many folks find as a nice bonus when they are rewarded.

Cons

The ability to find a member of the team to recognize is pretty difficult since our organization is over 50,000 employees. The list of teammates is hard to filter if you don't know the exact name of the person you're looking for. The marketplace to spend rewards points is a bit overpriced in terms of the items you're getting relative to purchasing them on Amazon or other retailer.

Workhuman for the working human

Reviewed 4 months ago

This employee recognition program has proven to be an invaluable tool for our organization. It effectively recognizes and rewards employee contributions, strengthens team spirit, and enhances our company culture. I highly recommend it to any organization looking to invest in their employees and create a more appreciative and motivated workplace.

Pros

I love being able to identify and celebrate the achievements and contributions of employees, and it has exceeded all our expectations in terms of functionality, ease of use, and impact on company morale. The real-time recognition feature is fantastic. Employees receive immediate acknowledgment for their efforts, which significantly boosts their morale and motivation. The ability to share recognitions publicly within the platform fosters a culture of appreciation and encourages peer-to-peer recognition as well.

Cons

More rotation of products/gift card would be nice

Enhancing Workplace Culture and Recognition

Reviewed 4 months ago

My overall experience with Workhuman has been highly positive. The platform significantly enhances employee recognition and engagement through its intuitive and user-friendly interface. The benefits of improved employee morale and a more cohesive workplace culture far outweigh these minor drawbacks.

Pros

What I liked most about Workhuman is its intuitive and user-friendly platform that makes recognizing and rewarding employees seamless and engaging. Additionally, the wide range of reward options are available. The platform’s focus on fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee morale is evident and highly effective.

Cons

Lastly, occasional technical issues or bugs can impact the user experience, requiring prompt customer support intervention.

Overall a good experience, just some minor things that could be added to the store that would help make it awesome for all. Most things/items can adhere to team members when choosing to use their points on something.

Pros

Options for access (computer and mobile device), suggested pointing system, lots of items to choose from in the store, each team member can utilize it, ease of use.

Cons

Work with the companies more to include more specific items customized to the company products or items approved through the company. Items such as headphones and cups. Visa gift cards would be great.

Recognitions for employees

Reviewed 6 years ago

Globoforce has helped me to provide incentives and small rewards for people working in sales and customer service reach their quotas. This has improved the working environment.

Pros

What I love about function Globeforce is the power allows access to all functions of recognition through mobile devices. Employees can access and comment on the recognition feeds and even redeem rewards directly from their devices. This is just great.

Cons

A disadvantage is that Globoforce focuses on management and recognition of employee talent, and perhaps companies seeking basic functions of human resources and payroll, among others, will have to consider other solutions.
